  1. A guide would be nice sure. I know what u are meaning and its a much more Live way of actually djing. The possibilities are endless. It is just so far removed from old school djing though that I sometimes think it is a totally separate art in itself.
  2. Ill add Tryambaka - The Colour of Time Maybe a bit on Twilight side even but I've always thought it was a really good album.
  3. I still can't believe how much great stuff you guys have put out recently! All while keeping quality high as well. Really great stuff you do for the scene bud, hope you continue to do it if you enjoy it! Ps: Happy Birthday!
  4. I am a Forest freak almost as much as a goa freak. so no. everyone here doesnt hate dark psy. I do however hate generic boring FM Lead Dark Psy that is completely unintelligent and not psychedelic in the least.... That kind of "dark" psy is a joke. Edit: That is some really good stuff olly, most of my favourites there Add on Dohm perhaps and a few others.
  5. Dark psy shouldnt be played at night you think?? That seems... counter intuitive? The point of it is... to endure through the "darkness" and make it into the light. As such it makes the emergence into the light when it finally does come that much better. "The heroes Journey" kind of thing as it were... At least thats how i have always seen it.
  6. Yeah, i disagree with this... As much as i want to know what the track is when i hear something new, i actually like the mystery and the fact of hearing something no one else has. Also most djs will at least tell you if you go up to them and ask afterwards. Unless it is super super secret unrlsdddd...
  7. Tavi was quite good for me. Moon trip soured me so I don't listen to their stuff. Haven't heard the rest yet.
  8. This was rather cool yup! Some of the times lots sucked for me if I remember cause they were just too late but still what I heard was great!
  9. So you know the scene, night starts to fall at a festival/party and everything turns perhaps a little bit sinister. The music slowly picks up pace and the bassline lowers while everyone gets just a little bit weirder...until we are well and truly in dark psy territory... Are you up the front of the dancefloor embracing the darkness, or do you walk/run/sprint back to your tent in horror/fear or disgust awaiting the happy sunshine music again?
  10. Don't think they are doing a Hal Horses set there this year, but Purosurpo yes I think. At least looks like Horses aren't on the official line up. Wish they were!
  11. Haha yes I know what u mean.. I am not really into scoville checking or trying to eat the hottest stuff possible. I rather something that I can still taste haha. Also recently and kind of related I have been on a Bloody Mary kick... The best one I had was when the place had some kind of chilli oil in the back after I asked them to make it hotter. Ouch. Good though!
  12. So this last 6 months or so I progressively got into hotter and hotter sauces, to the point of drinking sauce from the bottle each day and using a bottle the same day I buy it. I actually am addicted to hot sauce, so my Gf thinks anyway, hah.. Recently have been annihilating a lot of jalapenos as well, but they aren't that hot I just like the flavour and crunch mostly. Anyway, am I alone in this odd, possibly stomach destroying fascination?
  13. Have to agree this took a much different turn from their other stuff. They used to have a really organic vibe without being fully forest/dark music. Kind of forest-lite? Heh. There isn't any trace of that here... Still production can't be faulted though. Just a shame the psy part of this album evaporated like a vial left out in the sun.
  14. I will try for sure. Was planning to hopefully meet Anoebis anyway to say thx in person for all the music over the years.
  15. Ahh you have already been haha nice! That explains it then yeah. I agree on checking out a variety too. Nothing like a totally new festival experience! Then again nothing like an old favourite as well I suppose heh.
  16. This is indeed a good album. Not sure if ten out of ten for me as some tracks feel a little similar but it is progressive I suppose. Probably would give it a 7/10 and it has me interested to hear a full album. Reminds me of Zyce etc type stuff without so much fluff. Solid effort.
  17. Not wanting to get into what is or isn't psychedelic, heh.. But what in your experience has been the most psychedelic set you have seen? Or maybe even just weirdest/freakiest.. Recently a Sensient set knocked me off my feet for just how freaking weird and atmospheric it got. Really smart guy at controlling tension in a room and using it to huge effect. But that is minimal psy for u I guess. Looking forward to Derango at Lost Theory as I think it will probably be my most psychedelic dancefloor experience of all time!
  18. Skazi does having super tight curl hair. Also fat bassline not only deep reason for girl attract, slso some stance of girth. Such moves show depth character and true humilit.
  19. Yuck. And yet he is getting bookings all over based on his awesome past successes. How many times are we gonna see this story happen to different artists :/
  20. Hmmm hanging with the Tessaract boys a little too much perhaps :/ Or Goran is just into that style these days? I know some people who are friends of his so will try and find out what's up. And I agree 100 percent. Talpa to me was/is some of the most psychedelic melodic music I've heard.
  21. I actually thought that too for years... New Sensient album changed my mind though. Extremely psychedelic. And not as minimal perhaps. Listen to Galaxians. You may still disagree but if it can change my mind can change anyone's heh.
  22. It is a really good lineup but alas, we have chosen to go to lost theory as its lineup is a little more rare for us to see. (Goa & Forest Wise, whereas freedom is a loooot of full on/prog) Shpongle & Hallucinogen though gahhhh! Really wish lost theory wasnt at the exact same dates!
  23. Can't really give you 3 as I only know his first album. Will give some more listens.
  24. Are you happy with the way Goa trance evolved? Or devolved if that's what you think? Do you like the way things have progressed from the early days? As much as I love old school goa I am equally as thankful to have been alive to hear all the things that have come from it since. Some wonderful genres in themselves that might never have existed if things didnt evolve.. I couldn't picture the scene today if the old school sound just never changed.
  25. Northern New South Wales haha. Close though And I just meant how it was a lot about bass driven stuff over melody driven stuff for a while. Think i was exaggerating a bit though. some good stuff has come out of there. Just seemed like only one type of stuff really got played. You are right about zenon though yep.
