  1. Does anyone know if there is a high quality copy of this around or possibly ever going to be released? Draeke/DAT ppl?
  2. Interesting that you like this of all Suntrip stuff Radi. E Mantra to me has always been what I would call atmospheric sci fi goa...Little main melody, extremely floating, verrrrry atmospheric, a lot of reverberation, no climaxes as such. Really has his own style. Maybe that is the style of new stuff you like? It's good u found something produced this decade that u do though!
  3. I remember people's faces the first time I heard this on a dancefloor hah.
  4. Mmm Simon has always said Shpongle is headphone music not dancefloor music, as we all know. But perhaps as the years went on I think and they started playing live more tracks were written , perhaps subconsciously im not sure, that fit a dancefloor a bit more.. Still headphone music to me though

    Primer

One movie that is incredibly divisive, you either love it or hate it... Also one that has to be watched two or three times before even beginning to get a grasp... Possibly one of the most challenging movies ever made, anyone with an open mind and interested in time travel, paradoxes and alternate universe theory should at least try it.. Warning though its not light entertainment! If you can get past that though and like a good Mindfuck movie go for it
  6. Heh I like how this has become the 303 thread Always thought ABL/Phoscyon were the best but I will check out the others mentioned here.
  7. Not sure if serious because that was their last album
  8. Umm everyone here has said they like Good Full On including me in the original post lol... So we are happy to listen to it! It could have easily been what do you hate about dark, or goa or prog or whatever.
  9. Awesome! And i was just poking fun of course, I love E Mantras works! maybe even Pathfinder somehow more than Arcana, which might be weird. Great news anyway! You Suntrip guys are going to have a busy year!
  10. I think that is a universal thing heh.. But Radi perhaps try getting into whatever it is you are from a lower/lesser role somehow? Sometimes just working at a company as a cleaner or reception or whatever could lead to a job u want there. A foot in the door if that makes sense.
  11. Mm that was called Pathfinder. Jk of course. I'm not sure what it will be called.
  12. Graphic Artist/Creative artworker - 8 years or so. Currently working at all different ad agencies around London, probably on billboards, ads etc and shit you (and I) ignore every day. Heh Marketing is evil I know.. But I have to fund this life, and it is at least creative.
  13. So E Mantra posted on his FB that Arcana 2 goa followup album is coming. What does everyone think about that? Going to be quite a wonderful year for goa fans with Filteria, Ra, and E mantra releases! It's 200x all over again!!
  14. I think perhaps I didn't then as it was right around the time I was leaving Aus and was sooo busy etc dohhh. I know I meant to though! Still love to know what's happening though
  15. +1 Yup that is his good stuff. One of his best albums. He sooooon went wrong after that... Can write a "killaghhhhh" bassline though.. Lol.. Eww.
  16. I think there is a good bit of truth in that... However by the same token you don't have to be Alex grey or Picasso to appreciate a painting.. So I have no idea what is ideal... Perhaps a little of both naivety and understanding of the underlying mechanisms?
  17. Blackststarrfinale - Auryn http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/blackstarrfinale-auryn A reeeeally refreshing album!
  18. This release almost slipped under my radar for some reason, I think I confused it with something else with a similar name. A really quality album that I hope others haven't missed out on. Neogoa is killing it as a label at the moment!!
  19. Soo firstly I wanted to just say how incredible it is something like this exists. I'm not sure everyone who uses it realises just how much it benefits the scene, the artists, and of course the listeners. It's simply astounding what Basilisk has achieved and for that I will buy him a beer or three if I ever meet him. But, the point of this thread is, does anyone know what is happening with the update? I remember donating I think and hopefully something good comes out of it. Can't wait to see what happens in the future! Also, basilisk if you read this any chance of how many actual hours of music are on there??
  20. I think most people who dabble in production will know. I know what they are and where they fit in the birthing of the scene. To the real question though, and more interestingly i think.. Once you do know somewhat how things are made, do u listen and analyse the music differently? I find I sometimes do, but to be honest I'm only learning production so still have no idea how some of my favourite sounds are made. As I do learn that though I then become fascinated by the arrangements more and more... Sometimes however I just turn off that analytical part and enjoy the music.. I'm glad I can still do that
  21. That is about as generic a track as I can stand, so yes it is shameful to me considering his old stuff was quite good goa in context of full on yeah still that is rubbish to me.. Sounds like every Nano records/Uk full on release :/ I think I just really hate that distorted fm style lead that goes nowhere in every track from those guys..Once u hear it a million times it just kills your mind! Hehe Each to their own though!
  22. Such a shame what happened to Talamasca! First few albums were indeed good solid full on, not too much cheese, even somewhat psychedelic... And now... Eeeeeek I would say the same for Space Tribe too, even tho he is an Australian psy legend now...the stuff he puts out now is just..shameful
