  1. Usually conversations involve branching tangents and related topics Radi! Not just simple direct answers! Anyway I thought u wanted people to write more? Lol
  2. @ Ionized Niiiiiiiiice! You must have very forgiving neighbours I've always had trouble where I have lived listening to electronic music loudly more than any other type of music.. obviously because the bass carries more.. I think a soundproof studio/room is the only way for me in the future..
  3. I know it has a good rating that is what piqued my interest in the first place. That and your nice review there Well I'm glad u stand by it and it wasnt just a first impressions glowing/afterglow kind of review, which can happen when we first hear something hehe. As you say everyone's tastes are different! Anyway If you like melodic stuff (but a little less crazy) I think you would dig an artist called Spacey Koala, can find him on soundcloud, really nice stuff. Keep up the good reviews mate.
  4. ^ Depends what state in Australia you were from as to what response to that beer is heh. I don't mind it, normal xxxx though is basically cats piss! Also slightly off topic but alcohol is the only drug I have ever done that has made me do shit I regret or wouldn't normally do.. :/
  5. I think do it, the world needs this right about now. The world over there are goa fans and females waiting fir this reminder of astral projections glory days, the triumphs of blenn and the one true (only) ultimate goa sound. Bitches needsta be learn'd
  6. Sooo I thought we could use a venting thread to vent our displeasures at full on in general. Hah. Anyway I love some good full on, when it is actually psychedelic and not the same exact thing for 12 hours straight at a party.. My most hated though is the generic scratchy fm leads in nearly every track, specially of "twilight" full on. Your turn
  7. Hmmm I wouldn't really call this Suomi.. Its just kind of strange full on.. Well maybe it has a tinge of but it's kind of all over the place.. Sort of reminds me of Talpa only nowhere near that level... Not really my cup of tea and I love Suomi and good full on.. I think a 10/10 review is being extremely generous..
  8. Woot! Congratulationssss on the release! Hopefully this goes on front page of Ekto soon so everyone can see it? Not sure how that works really. Anyway awesome release and will get a review up soon as possible!
  9. Somehow I forgot about this album until recently.. It is really good quality forest trance.. And extremely psychedelic to my ears. Hope I can submerge myself in it sometime soon. Not sure it has the sheer intensity of Tumult but a contender nonetheless. Nice review there too, thanks for reminding me.
  10. ^ That is one way of looking at it I guess. I like to think of it as having evolved into something new that will be remembered in its own right. Just like Sky input (7/8 years old now!) is remembered already as the most maximal album now. These new artists will be remembered, for their own achievements, the best of them anyway.
  11. They could do pretty cool stuff with live sets if they wanted with actual on the fly launching clips etc but yeah.. Every video I have seen they look so bored.. Well, one half does. As for a new album... Hmm never
  12. Wow... is this real life?? Its not lame at all to promote something as inspired by something else when the "scene" was desperately crying out for something like that amidst a full on explosion.... What else were they supposed to say?? That it didn't sound like goa trance??? To use a basketball analogy, everyone always compares the great new upcoming players to Michael Jordan, yet only a few turn out to be even close. Those few are the ones that bring their own flare and talent to the game whilst still being "inspired" by him.. I think you have missed the whole point, and that is that the beauty lies in the way you expand upon that inspiration and make it your own, just as Filteria has done and continues to do as he grows as an artist with every single release! Im sure he has heard this rubbish backlash before when it released, hopefully it doesn't change anything and he keeps doing his thing!
  13. Just be sure to wax first.
  14. I remember really liking this album, was quite surprised by it too at the time. Better than a lot if other yellow sunshine usual stuff! Great review too.
  15. Have a feeling this release will surprise some people! Definitely a really unique fusion of styles I think.. Can't wait to see what everyone thinks of it in some reviews on release!
  16. Mmm..... I don't think anyone should knock him for being "inspired by" them, geeze as if it wasn't obvious when you heard his music anyway! They are/were his favourite group and he loves that sound as do many others so big deal. Radi.. Filteria sounds how filteria wants, nothing to do with suntrip making him sound like anything...Pretty sure they give their artists some of the most freedom in the scene to take as long as they want and sound however they want. If people dont like the music thats cool but i just don't think its fair to bag someone for having the balls to write the music they want the way they want, inspired by their favourite groups or not. Fact is if he was simply a "copycat" looking for "fame" he wouldn't be writing goa trance thats for sure...
  17. Heaps of stuff mostly psychedelic rock though.. I also listen to a lot of Phish.. And tonight going to see Neil Young live, lets see how old the man looks this time haha.
  18. No and I have wished to and been open to all my life... However altered, high, twisted or sober I have been ready... Well so I think.. They just never show.. Dmt & mushroom tykes however is a different and altogether fascinating story, still totally separate from this subject for me though. One day...
  19. There is one i know called Mushroom magazine http://www.mushroom-online.com/v2/ Covers psy, goa and festivals along with psychedelic culture. I also just recently wrote some articles (one on Goa and Suntrip) for another Australian magazine just starting up called Dreamland, will link you when its online. Really good idea though there needs to be more, distribution and cost is the hard part though.
  20. Such a quality release this one! Seems to have got lost in the rush of great releases lately! Glad I stumbled back across it.
  21. I'm surprised there isn't more responses to this one. Hope it didn't get looked over last year because its a great release! I love that filteria track even if its a but different from his usual!
  22. I have discussed with people before and came to the conclusion it's just that people nowadays dance to the bassline primarily and goa new and oldschool isnt so much bass driven. Melody isn't what people latch onto for some reason. :/
  23. I've only once heard actual goa played out. Once a friend/promoter got Dick Trevor to play a daytime gig and he did a retro green nuns set as well. Was pretty awesome except he started playing that after his new full on set and the crowd lost energy or didnt know what to do with the frenzy of acid/303. I however did haha
  24. Heh so many quality goa comps coming out people are getting confused!
