Not as good as his previous one "Good Morning Israel" in my opinion. The whole GMI label of Eyal Barkan got its glory from that release...most other Barkan brother albums are less enjoyable.
-
Well OK, I see myself as an incredible big Nitzhonot fan so I'd like to give my opinions here... First of all, I made a Wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitzhonot The albums in the list are mostly considered as classic material, so have a look there (: Mind the difference that I make between Nitzhonot and Uplifting, for me it's crystal clear these are two different things. I once wrote a small topic about it on this site, so let me hand it over to you guys (: "In fact, yes, Nitzhonot music can be divided into two sub-categcories. First of all, we have the real old Nitzhonot stuff, the music that invaded the clubs in Israel during 1998 and 1999 and dried out after this period. Think of guys like Syntezia aka Stargate, Iceman, the first two Cyan albums, Holymen, Eyal Barkan & Oren Barkan aka Reverse Psychology, D-Zager, Syndrome, old Astrix, Luminus, Kintaro,... Before Nitzhonot died entirely in 2000, it managed to escape to Greece, where it saw a new birth under the name of 'Uplifting'. This music stands further from Goa Trance than Nitzhonot, as the oriental melodies fall away completely. A typical Uplifting track contains heroic, epic, over-the-top-cheezy- melodies, a fat pulsating laser-bass and apart from that, not much (: ... Heroes in this scene are Darma, Lennox, Star Children, Zodiac, Oxydow, X-Men, Dementia, Zillion, Mendark... But it seems that, although Uplifting staid steady until 2004, this music is disappearing too. In 2005, the last official compilation came out under the name of Transistance 11, and it was only a mediocre success. Uplifting still gets some attention in Athens and in Bulgaria, but the scene mainly has gone "underground", ore "dead". Cyan quit the scene in 2003 after a last album, for example." The text is corresponding the truth, but Transistance 12 ( http://www.discogs.com/release/895327 ) is already a fact & it seems like there is some new movement going on in Greece, a lot of young and promissing producers are coming up lately... My top 10 Nitzhonot on this moment: 1. Iceman - Apollo 13 2. Syndrome - Cold Fusion 3. D-Zager - Aleira Sky 4. Reverse Psychology & Chemical Synthesis - Fallen World 5. Cyan - G-O-A 6. Astrix - In Peace 7. Stoler - Victory 8. Extrania - Easy Ease 9. Couple Side - Ashan 10. Ankonda - Good Morning People (remix) If you'd like to know other things about the genre I'd be pleased to inform you! PS: I get sick of Nitzho-bashers. Hm...well, just don't bash it because anybody else does. And even if you really think it's crappy music, I still believe it has something to offer that is not be found in any other genre I am aware of. I don't even call it bad taste!

Hm, waiting for your response...Psy-Kai-Q answered my question very soon, hope there won't follow any other complication...I like good Ebayers
-
Didn't we have to wait for his answer before sending money?
-
Did some good purchases...waiting for your reply!

Ungrateful being.
-
That's what happens with each forum one day or another. The terrible truth.
-
Exactly my thoughts! He won't loose a thing by selling them...
-
OK, that's true indeed : P But at least the starting price is democratic.
-
Hm, you got some interesting itzhonot CD's I'm still after, hope I'll be able to win one of them... (And Oopie, I think his prices are way better than most of the things on Ebay)
-
Never write you prefer the cash in a letter option, they don't like it there However, I ALWAYS PM the ones I want to sell from to ask them if they accept cash. And they always do. So my whole Ebay-bussiness is based on sending cash money, although it's "forbidden".
-
Isn't it possible that Kalle sells them without any distribution? Like taika kim did...wouldn't that be easier for all of us?
-
Not shitty at all, I'd say...his third album (Nich O Not) was far less enjoyable. On the other hand the music on C4 is really representative for the Nitzhonot sound. It's even a good album ifyou enjoy Nitzhonot overall! Just listen to ''Desert Storm'', the way Holymen was able to blend hard basses with that very particular ethnic feeling... it really sticks into my mind! What makes me more sick is the fact that people here managed to create a 3 pages long Nitzhonot-bash thread. OK, everybody has the right to express his feelings, nothing wrong with that, but so do I. And I say I don't appreciate Nitzho-bashing

Did artists produce better tracks for tantrance compilations?
Agneton replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
Yes it looks like it is radi...why did he change his name? Anyway, the idea in this topic is cool, but I don't think artists produced better tracks for the Trantrance series, in my opinion there is even a lot of filler material on some of them (Destination Goa-fan n° 1)... -
Sure, the music is what matters most to me...but hey, I got it in mp3, and if you buy a CD, it's because a CD has got something more to offer, something more authentic. That's why those covers mean a lot to me. But everything is fine right now, got the CD with backcover.
-
I wrote that Don't get me wrong, but I did an effort in writing something about a style that nobody cared for to update on Wikipedia...I tried to gather as much information as possible that I'm sure of, so...if anyone can do any better, I'd like to see that. Really (: would make me happy to see some other Nitz fans around! For the word laserkicks I based myself on some quotes from people on different forums, including this one (check the Ptzatzot 3 review, for example). Another option was the term 'zappy kick', which comes down to the same thing. Almost. Anyway, cool to see that people actually read that page ((:

It depends on what you are searching for, really... Most people will discourage you to listen to Chemical Synthesis - Final Fantasy, for example, because it's known as a Nitzhonot album. And Nitzhonot goes not well together with most Psytrance lovers. However, I'm fond of stomping basswork and uplifting melodies with an eastern touch, so I'd recommend you to listen to this one.

Interesting ones according to me...

MPRCD02 - VOX - Innerpolarity
Agneton replied to Lost Buddha's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Hehe, listened to the teaser two weeks ago and it has indeed some Miranda influences (which doesn't mean this artist has a style on his own!). It's great to see so much 'new' Goa artist standing up lately...2007 will bring us a small resurrection! -
Nope, just re-checked the description, says nothing...that's kinda sad, because I can assure you that when I opened the package the day I got it, I felt overwhelmed by the biggest anti-climax in long long time : P
-
Well let me tell you, I won it on Ebay last week. Description says 'good condition', well ok, doens't mean excellent, just good. What do I get? The CD with front cover but no back cover : / That's why I want that back cover! It feels so empty & cheap without the back cover. But because I assume that more people like to sell the whole CD instead of only a back cover, I was willing to buy the whole thing again : P (and then sell the incomplete one for a normal price).
-
Offer is still open, vlnik would look for a bootleg but that's only in case nobody else here wants to sell his one, so... yeah i know, it's a great CD...nodbody is willing to sell
-
So I'm really really interested in buying this one. Everybody who is willing to sell, contact me here or pm me. I use paypal, iban & bic and cash in a letter. Also willing to buy the back cover without anything else for 30 € (let's not discuss why : P). Thanks!
-
That's it. And in fact this compilation is from ZYX music, not Hypnotic. (Although I believe the ZYX comp is a re-release from a Hypnotic comp, which is less known)...
-
I didn't like it too much. I know it's one of those very early Oldschool records that rocked the dancefloor back in the days, which mostly means I totally love it. In this case the music just sounds a bit empty, even uninspired... But that's only my humble opinion : P
