  1. Sounds very promising! There are a bunch of songs that really caught my ear! It seems like the Newschool Goa is growing steadily...Lost Buddha & Metapsychic Records, Aerosis with a promo album, Goasia & Omegahertz on Purple Energy... Nice!
  2. The main reason for me to buy Purple Energy 2 was track 3! Appearently other persons do not really share my thoughts... In my opinion, the real good old Israeli melodies disappeared after the Nitzhonot hype during 98-99. It seems that people are afraid of a combination of the keywords "oriental" and "uplifting". Omegahertz however showed me with his Primeval Civilization that it is still possible to produce a really nice uplifting Goa track with this Israeli vibe, without turning into Nitzhonot (like was mentioned above...) Maybe it's just a question of taste, but I have to add that I like most other tracks on this compilation as well. Maybe I'm not sceptical & critical enough...
  3. Hm...I listened to "Take A Suntrip" and personally I have to admit that the track doesn't sound that...great...a bit too monotome for me...too much floating sounds that can't penetrate the surface and bring some kind of essential melody... But hey, any kind of Goa Trance around is good, and this is, after all, Goa Trance...

    Iceman - Turbulent

Not bad at all, one of the more interesting Nitzhonot albums... Best tracks are for me Apollo 13 and the Mindshifter megamix...very uplifting and pounding!
  5. I sent him a PM, but when I realized he was selling copies, i withdrew my proposition. Hm...I didn't get a reply until now anyway...
  6. Actually I enjoyed most of his work. On a certain moment he lanced a very heavy tune with lot of israeli nitzhonot influences. Another thing that captured my ears were the acidic & pleiadians influences, but not in a way filteria would use them...
  7. I'm sorry to not let you guys know anything... Like Anoebis said, I was on a holiday in Poland last two weeks. Now I'm back, and i saw some of you made me offers... Somseensee, is your offer for Doof still available? (check your PM's please)
  8. I'm sorry to interrupt the discussion but... is the way you spread your superiority really that satisfying? hm... I guess so...
  9. As long as at least one person is producing this kind of music, and as long as at least some people are listening to the style, i don't think you can call a genre "dead". Think for example of the gabber hardcore scene in Holland. After 1997, the music had reached its peak and vanished into nothing. Everyone in the scene quit and the music was officially called "dead". Nowadays, in 2006, the popularity of this music is bigger than ever in Holland. We can see the same development in UK Happy Hardcore, the style that, near the millenium, had dried out. People spoke about the 'dead of Hardcore'. Today, this kind of music had reached a new peak in popularity with lots of fans in the UK. There are tons of other examples. The Makina-scene in Spain, the Hardstyle-scene in Holland, the Ragga Jungle-scene in the United States,... Don't be too narrow-minded...Uplifting won't disappear.
  10. I just added this information in another topic, when I saw this topic. Maybe Cyberia can give reactions on it? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In fact, yes, Nitzhonot music can be divided into two sub-categcories. First of al, we have the real old Nitzhonot stuff, the music that invaded the clubs in Israel during 1998 and 1999 and dried out after this period. Think of guys like Syntezia aka Stargate, Iceman, the first two Cyan albums, Holymen, Eyal Barkan & Oren Barkan aka Reverse Psychology, D-Zager, Syndrome, old Astrix, Luminus, Kintaro,... Before Nitzhonot died entirely in 2000, it managed to escape to Greece, where it saw a new birth under the name of 'Uplifting'. This music stands further from Goa Trance than Nitzhonot, as the oriental melodies fall away completely. A typical Uplifting track contains heroic, epic, over-the-top-cheezy- melodies that are often linked with ancient Greek myths (that's why people often refer to it as the 'Hellenistic style'), a fat pulsating laser-bass and apart from that, not much (: ... Heroes in this scene are Darma, Lennox, Star Children, Zodiac, Oxydow, x-Men, Dementia, Zillion, Mendark... But it seems that, although Uplifting staid steady until 2004, this music is disappearing too. In 2005, the last official compilation came out under the name of Transistance 11, and it was only a mediocre success. Uplifting still gets some attention in Athens and in Bulgaria, but the scene mainly has gone "underground", ore "dead". Cyan quit the scene in 2003 after a last album, for example. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In every case, I'm happy to hear more Uplifting sounds! Cyberia, please, go on! I enjoyed your track on the last Transistance compilation! Don't let the scene die completely!

  12. X-Dream is not my cup of tea, so sorry... Thanks for the offer anyway (:
  13. -edit- money has gone, CD is mine (:
  14. Seems like nothing is happening...
  15. i listened to the mix, I was pleased to hear a big fat Nithzonot tune going through (Quadra)
  16. This means you didn't listen to music before you discovered psy-trance??! 568259[/snapback] Don't blame him for that... Neither did I ! (but I do listen other genres now...)
  17. Got both CD's but they don't really fit in the 'Goa' profile. Most of the tracks are downtempo, based on lyrics and chanting... Don't search too hard after this...
  18. Hm... The atmosphere in this track is nice. There is a subtle hint of mystery and the samples are encouraging me to listen on. I am not that satisfied with the melodies & synths. I really like Oldschool, but the melodies used in this track aren't...outstanding. Comparing to your track released on Apsara, I can remark the fact that melodies were more uplifting and sounded much stronger than here. However, all Oldschool is welcome in these days, so keep on producing and I'll hope to see an album whenever time has come!
  19. I think so. I've got the Up And Atom EP of them as well. These guys created a rather exclusive Goa sound...I believe they came from the UK.
  20. Samples From A Virtual Life plus the unreleased "Dive"
  21. I have seen hundred of topics like this... Ethereal is emotional, that's a good choice. Dunno...things like Chi-A.D. The Muses Rapt California Sunshine ...
