Does anyone know how many of these songs are unreleased and basically songs not from their main albums? It's actually a relief that great songs like Trashish, Malaka Dance, and Land of Freedom are not on here IMO. We've all heard those songs so many times on their main albums for starters. I love to hear new, classic old Transwave sounding songs. I don't see how I couldn't buy this. The cover better be awesome looking like the old albums.

This is such a beautiful, creative, and passionately produced album. It's a real work of art. Khetzal, please make another if you feel drawn to doing so in your heart.

SKY INPUT VS HELIOPOLIS I really like Heliopolis. Hearing it once in a while, I appreciate and enjoy it more. Although I found the debut more impressive both in and for its time, the tracks on here are more varied than on Sky Input. There was something more special about Sky Input when it released. This may be in part because NO ONE seemed to influence this artist other than the Pleiadians when making Sky Input. That was such a long time ago that Sky Input sounded amazing. Also, there was no one telling this artist "it's too intense or too maximal" I imagine because there were no expectations! He escapted into the creation and explored new terrain without walls put in place by listeners trying to influence what works and what doesn't. Opinions. Feedback and reviews are important I feel because they can educate us how to better our selves. They can also work against us sometimes. Bad reviews can disappoint us into thinking we're not appreciated. It can make us change to appeal and/or stop producing music until we forgot why we even began creating what we love to begin with. Look at Pleiadians for instance. Their new stuff sounds nothing like them!, or what even made them The Pleiadians to begin with. It has no soul to what it was regardless that they currently make decent Full On. You must look at it for what it is or you begin generalizing your current perspective which is subjective. Anyway, there was something "extreme" and "raw" sounding about Sky Input. I loved it. Heliopolis has some great songs (my review above) and I enjoy the better song variety. I definitely feel this artist went "all out" the most on Sky Input, even if some songs here are better than several songs on the debut. Sky Input captured and created this plethora and kingdom of melodies, met with seemingly endless speed, intensity, climax, and sound explosion. It was an over-the-top stream of relentless melodies that no album had done since Head Spin on Pleiadians. Actually, Sky Input is the most intense album I ever heard in my life. It may just be the most layered too! And that breaks ground. In a sense something can avoid being 100% original and still be groundbreaking. Regardless what you thought about Sky Input, it was impressive for what it was. Remember when Pleiadians F.O.L came out?? At the very least, the general feedback and reactions were mixed. The album was a big disappointment and that's old Pleiadians we're talking about. Family Of Light was the last real album from the Pleiadians and I hope this artist makes a third Filteria album one day with a variety of superb, yes SUPERB and amazing songs. Add key changes, surprises, and unexpected parts too. It would be cool to hear some ambient goatrance songs by Filteria and maybe a song or two that is less fast as he did on the APSARA comp with TINY UNIVERSE and the self-titled track Sky Input. Pyrogen was a change and song I thought was great. I wasn't expected something so different and catchy to emerge from this style. It's fresh and original. I think Reflected is good with a great second half making it one of the best songs here. And ROTATE TO VIBRATE is currently my most favorite track on the album. Whatever he did in that which makes it sound different, it worked! I'm convinced some people will love this because NO ARTIST makes music this intense anymore and/or layered anymore. That aside, this album is generally less intense than SKY INPUT. I don't mind that. The last song on Heliopolis is very good if you're patient with the middle when it floats around for a bit longer than I prefer. The final track on Khetzal's Corolle album is better but this is still very well done. I actually enjoy songs like PYROGEN and ROTATE TO VIBRATE over UNFILTERED and REFLECTED. This artist should definitely create more top songs with awesome key changes. The key changes really accentuate and compliment the song, (not to rush them at the start but later in the songs development as done on several songs here) making it more catchy and fun to listen to. UNFILTERED actually seems less dynamic and catchy in comparison to track 6 due to this attractive alteration (key changes) at the last third of track 6 for example. Track 6 is awesome. The last third are superb. I most enjoy tracks ROTATE TO VIBRATE, UNFILTERED, and PYROGEN, followed by REFLECTED, MIND EXPANSION, and CLOUD KINGDOM. In conclusion, Heliopolis is one of the best post 21st century Goa-Trance albums. It doesn't feel as Fresh as Apsara and Khetzal. It seems less impressive as a follow-up because people are comparing it to the debut. Sky Input is better than Heliopolis because it took something through the roof, without limits, like a free spirit! Its strength was it's weakness but its strength... its intensity was amazing. And I don't go tossing around the word "amazing" casually" either. However this isn't to say Heliopolis is improved over the debut in several ways. There are awesome moments and tracks. Simply put, we were most impressed and even if Jannis further maxed out what the debut did it wouldn't make it better per say because it's now been done. Long as he doesn't lose the fresh, new intense, layered, melodic tracks, generally speaking. Heliopolis is a smart, more than worthy follow-up compared to how disappointing follow-ups can sometimes be to the debut. In that sense I say Heliopolis is a great album, it's just nothing spectacular. And there are several excellent songs, climaxes, mixing, and moments. - Sky Input [2004] - A- - Heliopolis [2006] - B+

Suntrip Records Presents: Twist Dreams!
Jon Cocco replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>TWIST DREAMS - IMPRESSIONS</span> 1. Cosmic Silence - Psy Spirit ... Sounds good. 2. Aerosis - Contorsion ... Sounds very good, at times great. 3. Red Gravity - Momentary 29 ... I like the melodies. They're good. At around 2:12 however this song sounds great. Really, I hope this song continues to get stronger and better as it progresses. The three minute sample suggests to me it has potential to keep getting better and better and... *Fingers crossed* 4. Talpa - Till We Meet Again ... Does the opening introduction of this song seem to somewhat resemble the sound of Filteria's "Tiny Universe" opening/intro song on the Apsara comp?? Hmmm.... I don't like that. The overall song sounds pretty good so far. There are some nice melodies and keys, but I've heard much better from this artst. I'm so far not impressed because I have heard great, excellent, and superb stuff by this artist before on his Art of Being Non album which I find, many people, find great. The quick piano notes are a nice touch and I hope this song gets better but it's so far cool and pretty good sounding, just nothing great to me. 5. Merr0w - Utopian Society ... Sounds great.. the melodies and progression sound very good, great. 6. KhetzaL - TranceFuzion ... Sounds good. I like the voice samples and especially the melodies. The beat or kickdrum sounds generally "harder" than previous Khetzal and that's fine. So far this song is good during it's first 3 minutes. After the short transition the music returns more aggressive, it's a good change and I hope the second half of this song becomes great, develops into something even better, superb if possible. 7. Filteria presents K.O.B - Weight of Oblivion (feat. Klara Steiner) ... Okay, now I understand KOB. *Whew* originally I thought Filteria had nothing to do with creating this song. I like the skipping/altered "jar opening" melody sound and other effects. It's like a more emotional sounding Filteria song. I'm starting to enjoy this more. It should be good. 8. Afgin - Dimensional ... Sounds good, but this artist could work on making his melodies more juicy and flavorful. The transition sounds good. There really isn't a big, classic/strong (catchy) melody lifting up out of all the others but one melody is very noticeable after the transition, it's pretty good but not great. This sounds like a fairly good song at the least so far. 9. Ra - Gates of Tiphareth ... This sounds very interesting. The style is unique, different, and most importantly catchy. This song might be great. It's VERY cool as it progresses. It's also great seeing RA on here especially because it seems all his fans haven't heard from if he's even making music and albums since the "To Series" album which I own and is great. I currently most enjoy tracks: <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>2, 3, 5, 6, 9.</span> -
V/A - PYRAMIDAL TRANCENDENCE METAPSYCHIC RECORDS 2006 1. SINE DIE - THE SHAMAN TRIP 2. ASTRANCER - DZOG CHEN 3. MINDSPHERE - MOLOCULAR RESTRICTIVE 4. TRAVMA - ZAMAN 5. ETHEREAL - STREAM OF LIFE 6. AURA - WALK ON EARTH 7. LOST BUDDHA - LOST IN PARADISE 8. INFINITE DIMENSIONS - FAR BEYOND THE STARS 9. AFGIN - TRIBUTE OF THE SUN PYRAMIDAL TRANCENDENCE is a Goa-Trance compilation that I became aware of in October, 2006 around its release. Surprisingly it has few artists whom I'm familiar with, and yet I find myself very attracted to it. 1. SINE DIE - THE SHAMAN TRIP is a strong, elegant opening. It's somewhat relaxing as I'd imagine the beginning would be towards the climb up the pyramid of higher awareness, towards enlightenment, spirtuality. There is a very pleasing, catchy melody at 1:40, repeating again at 5:12. This is a wonderful sound that compliments the song. B+ 2. ASTRANCER - DZOG CHOM ... The voice samples are very cool and the melodies are beautiful. There are some other very delectable sounds too, and a healthy amount of supporting light seems to take place in the background too. The song is very very uplifting and pleasing to listen to. When so many attractive sounds form and flow together in harmony, such music really does have the power to put people in a higher, more clear and free state. The song is great, and the extension past the interlude around 7:00 is gorgeous. Ethnic melodies seldom create as much magic and harmony with Goa Trance as they do here, thus producing a surreal and refreshingly catchy sound I've never heard before. A 3. MINDSPHERE - MOLOCULAR RESTRICTIVE ... This song starts out interesting. The female voice is beautiful. Someone knew people were going to like the pretty voice here and the overall song which is more aggressive and energetic than previous songs. It's also the quickest one on the album so far. The aggressive melody that begins at 0:12 is pretty good. I think the artist could have made the song even stronger had he gradually added more arresting melodies during the first several minutes. But too much delight too soon makes further delight less distinguishable sometimes. My favorite part is at 6:01, both during and right after the beat is removed during the transition. At this point there seems to be nothing other than floating ambience coupled with very attractive and psychedelic tingling sounds. The speed of the song is slowed down. Drifting. Suddenly the beat kicks in. Chimes and other sounds and melodies arrive, and the dreamy female vocals return on top of everything else which flows superbly. From 6:00 to 7:00 is great! The slow down part injects it with enough delight to make it even more delectable till the end. B+ 4. TRAVMA - ZAMAN ... At first I did not care for the dog barking in the beginning of this song because it continued throughout the first minute. I wasn't sure when it would end. By 1:52 however that sound had been passed and this song picks up, becomes fast and interesting. It's also laced with cool goatrance melodies on top of one another. I remember feeling as if this was too fast during initial impressions but I actually like it at this speed. To me it seems to get somewhat repetitive or less involved the more the song progresses. After the cool psy-sample before 6:00, the same direction continues without anything novel or fresh to me until soon after the laser shooting sound effects. The kick drum speeds up, the tempo changes. and at around 8:50 things sound more interesting again. At 10:39 maybe it's too long for its own good, or not. That's up to you. It's still pretty cool regardless. B- 5. ETHEREAL - STREAM OF LIFE ... This is the first step down the pyramid I presume, and I don't mean that in a negative way. This is more peaceful, relaxing, and slower sounding than the previous three songs. It doesn't have a part or parts that jump out and say, "Look at me!!" Stream of Life is less obvious, more subtle and quaint. The ambient around 5:40 followed by the sample is good. This is very floating at times and gentle throughout. The melodies are really good. What I most enjoy about Ethereal is their ability to make waves, layers of good, great melodies which flow together, almost becoming one at times. I often find their work beautiful sounding, creating a pleasent mood. This song along with several others make up some of the best goatrance songs of 2006. I really love Ethereal's first album, which I own, and it's great to see them on here. They did a really good job and I hope we get a second main album released from them one day. B+ 6. AURA - WALK ON EARTH ... This starts with an interesting voice sample. It's another more aggressive, quicker song on the album. I suppose the tip of the pyramid has been reached and now the spirit and/or mind is drifting... picking up speed downhill back towards Earth or the body. Anyway, what stands out for me here is the strong melody throughout and after the interesting voice sample at around 3:00. This is catchy! I really like how it's tweaked. Guitars are introduced which I generally don't care for in goa and psytrance unless very well done, and I feel they're very well done here. Also, they're kept to a minimum which I like. The piercing ambience (along with other ambience) enhances other sounds, creatively complicating the taste with more flavors and depth. B+ 7. LOST BUDDHA - LOST IN PARADISE ... I really like the opening voice sample. This song dives directly into the melodies from the opening. At around 1:17 a fresh melody is introduced which is very catchy. The ambience and other melodies further enhance the song. I find the ambience (ambient notes) and melodies great. I also very much like the voice sample, cut short and minimized to "Light!" which on both occasions is mixed in right before a rise in sound, fresh melody, or a lift off. There seems to be another melody doubling over existing ones around 4:45 which is very cool, catchy. I most like the sounds of the ambient notes in combination with the melodies. There is something heavenly, beautiful about this sound and how they flow with the rest of the music. This is a great new goatrance song and my favorite track from Lost Buddha to date. B+ 8. INFINITE DIMENSIONS - FAR BEYOND THE STARS ... This is the only song on the album I have very mixed feelings about. It starts off pretty good and gradually improves. Like the previous song, it dives right into the melodies from the near start. It also involves an instrument or two that are generally different, more piano or orchestral driven than the braiding layers of melodies often in goatrance. The ambience is good and the quicker higher pitched melody notes are okay. A new, more ethnic sounding melody is introduced at 2:48, but this song really comes together at 3:15. Wow. I was initially so involved until around 4:00 where the sound surprisingly changes and devolves into what sounds to me like formulary mainstream club trance. However, from 4:39 to around 5:00, the goa sound is reinforced along with the more mainstream sound combined. Both styles seem to be playing off each other and it works. What I do not like is at 5:09 when this more clubby melody takes over and now dominates the entire song. It even toggles down to a blur under the beat, something popular, common, and redundant in mainstream trance and house music. In short, this song becomes too similar to stuff I've heard by artists like DERUDE and CASCADA the more it progresses. I really enjoyed this song for four, even five minutes because it sounded fresh and innovative to me. It's as if this artist was reluctant for some reason to stick with goatrance throughout and decided to introduce a mainstream trance (I call club trance) style and sound until the goatrance influence and song is completely gone in the end. This sound and direction during this songs last minute make it seem out of place to me here. I really felt this song had potential to be great, and from 3:15 to 3:58 it was. I kept imagining what it would have sounded like had this artist stuck with the goatrance style to the end. Once that general club trance "feel/sound" blossoms at around 5:12, I feel like I'm listening to a different album. C 9. AFGIN - TRIBUTE OF THE SUN ... This is more floating, chilled goatrance without ever being slow enough to enter ambience or goa ambient. There are some really nice melodies working together here. Unfortunately I can't say there's any specific part or melody that stands out to me. I honestly find this track far less interesting and engaging than most others. It seems to be missing something, a more catcy, memorable leading melody maybe or more imagination and feeling. Full of life this song isn't. There is this strange spacey, [isolated] feeling I get when listening to this song. While some may regard it as a solid floating goatrance/downtempo-esque closing, others will likely find it boring or just not that memorable. Regardless, "Tribute to the Sun" flows nicely throughout. I'm sure some listeners will enjoy the song more than I do. The slower speed and spacey feel does give some credit. This is a fairly good song to end the album on. B- In conclusion, I think many people, especially those who love both old and new school goatrance will most enjoy this compilation. There are some great songs here. None are bad and only one I don't find good. I think it's wonderful to see artists put so much time and energy into something so cool and available to the world without fee. It seems the intent here was to bring the old and new school spirit of goatrance to our time now in this new release. With exception to albums by Suntrip Records, it seems rare these days to hear a new goatrance album. Pyramidal Trancendence is made for fans of Goatrance. There's definitely room for improvement as a whole, regarding production and several songs fall short from achieving greatness. This is overall one of the best Goa/Psy albums of the 2006. Many thanks goes to the artists' and individuals involved in producing and creating this new school Goatrance comp which seems to share some of the same energy and spirit of the older, now classic years of Goatrance. Favorite tracks: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. B+

Lost Buddha - Ataraxia EP
Jon Cocco replied to Lost Buddha's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I like both of these songs and none of them tops "Metamorphosis" for me so far. Ataraxia ... I like the samples and middle transition. I didn't find this song that interesting or compelling until around 6:01. On the 6ixth minute... the sound changes, becomes more catchy. Very cool female voices arrive which adds character and enhances the song I feel. There also seems to be some very nice key and/or tempo changes (?), in this song during the last third. Southern Oracle ... Better. I like the climax at around 5:25 and the ambient notes make this single more catchy. At 6:40 the layers and sounds are all blending together just right. The ambient notes are a big plus. -
Same. I heard this album in 2004 for the first time and found it superb. Sometimes I think if this music continued being produced straight from then into now ... it wouldn't be as special. We'd appreciate it less than we do. This is a classic, very special, and one of the greatest albums ever.

Pleiadians - 7even Sister7
Jon Cocco replied to Otto Matta's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
No it's nothing. I assumed that it was available since Oct 21st coz that was the release date on saikosounds two weeks ago. It seems like the date is delayed again for no other reason than a timing issue. It would be too rare if they used this time to improve their album. Once I heard the samples I knew this was it... unfortunately. Btw it doesn't sound terrible, (for Full On) just nothing as to why I enjoy and bought Pleiadians to begin with. -
Pleiadians - 7even Sister7
Jon Cocco replied to Otto Matta's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Huh, that's strange. But they still have the same tracklist. I don't see them changing anything in under two weeks, and the album has already been available for around a week or two at most. Surely someone bought it by now. I doubt they will make it better, that''s just too unexpected although it would be very cool and quite welcome if they did. Also I'm very curious in knowing what other forums on other sites had to say about this album so far. What other big site posts feedback, reviews on this type of music?? Can someone check? Is there a way for us to compare how the majority feels about this disappointing album here and to other sites in general? I don't post on other sites regarding psy albums so I'm most familiar with this site. I wonder too why they did this. -
haha. Their song on CHILLUM VOL. 4 is beautiful. It's my fave song on that comp and one of my fave chill and downtempo or new agey trance songs of 2004. I wish TRAUMA made an album full of beautiful songs like their track 7 titled "Ultra Sequence" on 2004's VA - CHILLUM VOL 4 comp. Samples below. This album sounds nothing like it. I bought that comp, but this I wouldn't buy. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/age/age1cd040.html

Of course. It's an American made film so it will open US first nation-wide. See below. Yes, I watched the screening clip. The advance screening reel doesn't work alegedly and he has to improvise. Good stuff. BORAT comes out NOV 3rd in the USA nationwide. THIS COMING FRIDAY IN THE USA. It will expand throughout November to other countries like most popular films. I posted a thread on BORAT (pics) and other cool 2006 films in the Off-Topic forum several days ago but I think that threads been pushed to page 2 already. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809426565/i...OOdPwi8x15fVXcA -

This album was very cool, one of the best releases of 2004. I love the opening track(!) .. high octane stuff. Yet a handful of the following songs never achieve the greatness of a handful others. It's NOT a great album, but there is occasional greatness. And the IM-influences are ever so obvious. My favorite albums of 2004: Filteria - Sky Imput ... A- Talpa - Art of Being Non ... B+ Four Carry Nuts - Mechanical Age ... B+ Ypsilon5 - Binary Sky ... B Electric Universe - Cosmic Experience ... B Space Monkey - Psychotic Episode ... B The Misted Muppet - From The Legend ... B -

Looks like PSYSHOP doesn't have Pleiadians - 7seven Sister7. YES!!!!! That's KARMA. At least someone's boycotting this album. I'm j/k!! http://217.160.136.176/cgi-bin/search.cgi Ha. Yes I read about this on yahoo movies but never saw the clip. Thanks for posting Reger. -
Wow it's been a year already! So much for my little, poopy "Best of 2005" thread which most people seemed to miss. This thing was pushed down fast once Moni released the more official "Best albums of 2005" thread. Looking back at things, I find few exceptions in 2005. It was a weaker year, especially compared to 2004 which roocked!!!!!! I'm still surprised Waterjuice rapped to downtempo/trance in track 10 on their 05 album. Nice try but, umm yea no. See below. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/vvt/vvt1cd003.html Hmmm... according to amazon.com and several other sources, Phutureprimitive - Sub Conscious officially release in 2004. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sub-Conscious-Us-P...ie=UTF8&s=music

The spirit IS gone in the sense this artists' generally great style from previous E.U. albums has changed, it isn't here. The statement was self-explanatory and I'd imagine anyone (including those with a biasd and slant) are aware of this. Really?, people on the dancefloor confirm it every time?? I'm sure they confirm every song everytime on the dancefloor, thanks to the DJ's doing their job. I second that and I agree. And for whatever reason someone will always like something and try to get others to see their point of view. And there are opportunities at doing this, but after a while it becomes old and stale. And I have listened to all his albums. I own 4 or 5 of them and I agree that Cosmic Experience was a gem. It was very good and I would have loved to see a great new E.U. album like that one -- both to and released after that one. Not this. MONEY and no respect to the fanbase seems to be the main reason why the record label contributed in turning Electric Universe into a generic clubtrance dance album. Boris in some way or another was encouraged to dissociate from his beloeved goa-influenced psytrance (add: highly danceable) albums and make commercial psy club trance. As an artist, you don't just flip after creating great music in a totally different style which we love for over 10 years. Now fans all over the world are disappointed. Who ever the person representing PLANET B.E.N. Records was on this thread (before they stopped posting and suddanly someone else appeared to continue the argument) seems to disagree with every body who doesn't like this album. This is more proof to me something isn't right. Regardless, it's downright unprofessional to argue or debate about an album if you are THE artist or A PERSON backed or behind the company and/or record label. The label obviously wants whatever they release to do good, regardless if it's of good or not good quality...and I'm NOT talking about the production here. The album should speak for itself, and it has. The overall consensus here is that Electric Universe - Silence in Action is very disappointing, and this comes on forums which include a general handful of psytrancers from all over the world.

PROMETHEUS - ROBOT-O-CHAN TWISTED RECORDS 2004 FULL REVIEW 1. ROBOT O CHAN ... B ... Very interesting, chill, catchy, and attractive opening. 2. MEKONG DELTA ... B 3. NUMBER CRUNCHER ... B 4. SNAKES AND LADDERS ... B 5. SAMOTHRANKI ... B 6. UNIVERSE ... B- 7. O.K. COMPUTER ... B+ ... From 4:00 - 5:00 is excellent. 8. U.R. BEAUTIFUL ... B 9. LONG WAVE ... C+ ... Very anti-climactic, disappointing ending. Too short and lacking. How did I miss posting on this album?! (!!) This album has really grown on me. Initially back in 2004 I was disappointed because I expected songs involving greater develop, build up, and more energetic elements (climaxes). This isn't the style however and I have come to realize what songs are generally more catchy than others in this innovative style. While track 7 has a build up to some very cool sounds, melodies, and chopped up voice altered effects, I wouldn't call that a climax. On hearing this album multiple times in 2004, there were several songs I liked (2, 4, 5, 7, 8) and several I found boring and uninteresting (the rest). I'm still not enthusiastic about the last song but I have a fresh, updated perspective the album. Many months passed and I listened to this album again (and again) from beginning to end. There is something very comfortable about this album as a whole, and sure it could have been better. I've realized some songs are deffinitely more thoughtful than others. These other songs may take more listens over time to become better appreciated and understood. I'm not saying that if you don't like a song this means you will later like it, or that YOU don't get it by not enjoying it the first several times. I'm saying that this album includes songs that on first notice, appear far less than they are while other songs generally stand out more. There is some great work here. Not all tracks are great IMHO. None are bad or average but several songs are definitely far more gripping, intriguing, and catchy than others. The album could have some more melodies, be more psychedelic too, but those are small gripes. This is definitely a good album at the very least. It's solid, even if it isn't perfect or superb many people. There are some very good and great songs (add: parts and moments) on it throughout. The beginning song starts the album very nicely while the final song feels too short and lacking in comparison to everything else. I would have liked a more substance filled song towards the end, something superb that leaves you in awe or at least a great song. Some of the melodies on this album are great. The voice samples kick ass, with exception to the "My mind is glowing" one that's been used to death on dozens of albums including Prodigy's Music for the Jilted Generation album back in the early 1990's. Can they ever quite with that sample? In conclusion, ROBOT-O-CHAN is an album that's grown. At first with the exception to few easily accessible songs like track 7, I wasn't sure what to think of this as a whole. I felt mixed. This is barely psychedelic but has enough PSY to call it psytrance but it's not that psychedelic. It's also completely different from psytrance I'm used to listening to, which I admire. I believe this artist may have potentially and unintentionally invented a new sub genre here because this barely defines what we consider psytrance and yet it's occasionally downtempo, dub-influenced and PSY but not that psychedelic. In short, it's a far less psychedelic psytrance. Nonetheless, it's a distinct, original style that I find both catchy and of high quality in some songs more than others. I find few songs great here but overall this is a very comfortable sounding album. This isn't a masterpiece although some may say so due to it's level of innovation and quality. To me this artist has showed he has potential to make a masterpiece, but having potential and releasing one is two different things entirely. ROBOT.O.CHAN is one of the best albums of 2004, a really good year for psytrance I must add. While this didn't make my TOP 10 in 2004, (it made my top 11-15) I'm convinced this is the best thing TWISTED has released in years. I hope the follow-up is excellent, better than the first and amazing if I had the choice to make it so. FAVE SONGS: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8. SCORE: 8.5 = B.

Yes. Of course.

It's a very beautiful song. I remember rating it either an A- (9/10) or B+ (8.9/10) in 2005's Khetzal - Corolle review thread. I wrote quite a review for that album if you remember. I think it's one of the best ambient goatrance songs to come out in years, but surely it isn't the one to end them all. Naturally it's always nice to see some enthusiasm for positive quality.

GOASIA - SUNNY MORNING ... B- AES DANA (!!) ... CHI A.D. (!!) ... GOASIA (!!) ... KHETZAL (!!) ... SYNSUN (!!) Why was this kickass GOA/CHILL comp not reviewed until now?? It came out in March, 2006. (!!) Peace Therapy 2 is easily one of the years best chill and Goa-ANYTHING albums. There are good and great songs here. I suppose the only fall back is that the SynSUN song has been released on 2004's Symphonic Adventures album, meaning you may have heard that beautiful ethnic-influenced song before. Also, I've heard better from Goasia before and their song isn't exactly spectacular or great here IMHO, but it is above average still. That aside, this things impressive. It's a great compilation with lot's of good, great songs, strong goatrance/ambient influence and melodies!! There are no bad or average songs here either. It starts ambient and subtle. I wasn't impressed with track 1.. The music builds up to track 3 gaining momentem, beats, more pick up, melodies and layers before hitting it off back-to-back. None of the songs are too fast. They all seem to fit in that more peaceful, relaxing tone the album sets. This is chilled goatrance and goa-influenced downtempo... meaning NEW AMBIENT GOATRANCE!! It is one of the best PSY albums of 2006 and worth checking out. Best tracks tracks: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7! new DOUBLE CD album SynSUN "UNSTOPPABLE"
Jon Cocco replied to Jeka/SynSUN's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
OMFG, I just realized SynSUN's great "TATARIA" song on Peace Therapy 2 comp also happens to be the final song on Symphonic Adventures. Grrr...I hadn't heard SA in two years since it's been in my collection... so I thought TATARIA was an exclusive SynSUN song on Peace Therapy 2 comp which I've heard more. I had thought this was some excellent exclusive song but now it's just excellent. That does it. I've taken out Symphonic Adventures from my collection. I'm hearing this album from beginning again now. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/kag/kag1cd110.html http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/kag/kag1cd121.html
