  1. I like how it starts. Overall it sounds decent. It does get repetitive however. This repetition eventurally kicks in after the first minute or two, which I like...overall the song doesn't put me in that "zone" I like to be in when listening to great or even what I consider good goatrance. I don't know who said what about some sound (or what not) being copied or a same sound being used as existed on a different goatrance song, but pease guys...be original regardless if any of that is true or not. My final score for this song would probably be around 2/5. For a goatrance song it's not bad, not good, just okay. More layers, sounds, feeling, development, characteristics, make the song deeper...as it's very predicatable the way it sounds, too many sounds repeat for too long. It's good to peek by adding more tunes and direction and then maybe bring back those sounds that are present throughout the entire song...as opposed to having one song basically sounds the same from beginning to end, regardless of subtle or less obvious changes.

    Deedrah - Reload

    I really like this one.
  3. I have been contemplating buying this unique album since its release. It has these moments, melodies, sounds and great use of samples... Although I favor originality and creativity, some of this album sounded too off beat for my taste...but then there are these parts... haunting, beautiful, ambience and melodies together... wild, funky, random, innovative, catchy sounds mixing together... and sometimes things just sound completely random. There are parts and bits throughout this album I find arresting, the artist finds a coming together of sounds/melodies and the track lifts off and sounds great. On the other hand, many parts seem to go on and on in their funky, weird way which tend to occasionally lose my interest. I find the more ambient/melody driven intros and songs, (and voice samples) far more effective than the beats and strange noises without them. An example is track 3 and the final one for starters. Both are very catchy! The songs sound generally unpredictable, the direction unknown, which is intriguing to me...regardless of where the song goes. They're interesting. I wish there was more ambience and melodies, like the part in the last track right before the "in your eyes" sample. Moody, eerie, dreamy soundscapes like that are VERY cool. I also like the melodies in that final track...and the voice samples are great, and then the arriving melodies that follow, that's great. Final track rocks. More like that and more melodies would be great. If Artifakt creates a follow-up with even greater melodies, key changes?, dark brooding atmosphere and ambience, crazy, wild, unexpected parts, animated lift-offs, voice samples, several powerful, awesome climaxes, etc...and I'll go nuts!!!!
  4. The first album is probably their best. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/dv3/dv31cd011.html Their second album is their second best. (some say it IS their best) http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/cor/cor1cd001.html I bought their third in 2005. It's mainly a bunch of remixes, some good ones, some okay. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/chi/chi1cd003.html About the fourth...I most like tracks 3, 4, 6. There are some good songs here, and from someone who owns all of their albums...I found other tracks BORING and UNINTERESTING. I really do NOT like tracks 2 and 7. They're not enjoyable to listen to IMHO. They're boring and annoying!! I wrote more on each individual song on page 3. The first song I initially liked until this melody appears that reminds my friends and I of ELEVATOR-MUSIC(!!!) What is elevator music you ask?? ... Well it's an annoying-repetitive 3-note (repeats twice between spaces) tune in the first song here that comes and goes. Without that it would have been a stronger song. It truly had some attractive elements and sounds otherwise. As I read throughout the review pages, it seems people generally most favor the several tracks I most favor. Nevertheless, if Entheogenic is to keep, continue (and improve upon) their overall style, it would be great to hear more innovative, catchy, (occasionally darker) and generally stronger songs like the few good ones on here (and better!!) that people generally most like. In conclusion: It would be very cool if Entheogenic focused on great and superb new songs...masterpieces!...their best new songs ever back-to-back. That's what I think, and nothing close happens here. This is a decent album, one of the better downtempo albums of 2006 (in a weak year IMHO) but not good as a whole. Of course you either like their generally slower/softer style or you don't, but I own their other albums and find this most mixed, exactly as the other reviews on this are. Boring songs mixed with so much better tracks is a mixed bag. Entheogenic has the ability to make very good and great songs... they'll capture more people and buyers if they capitalize on that. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/chi/chi1cd005.html
  5. I'm actually complating getting this one. This album is generally more emotional sounding at times and I like those parts. I really like track 7...those sounds (are those synth sounds?) are infectious, very cool and catchy sounding. I would love to hear more songs with the style and feel that people generally favor the most, track 7, tracks that have more "pick up" energy and attitude like 7. A very good floating song is track 2. That's another track with less attitude and more dreamy/relaxing sounds and I like the sounds/notes he adds in the second half right as the song had been getting repetitive. I enjoy hearing this much more than Psyfactor's dark psytrance. I just find this more unique, creative, emotional, and original. It's deeper, and when the songs develop more, more layers/sounds, it becomes more interesting too. 01. Eyes Reflecting Universe sounds... The first track originally and still isn't I think available at saikosounds, so I originally thought this was track 2 because the first sample art saikosounds starts on track 2. Hmmm...I had to got to psyshop to hear this one. 45 seconds just aren't enough. I can't get a decent impression. 02. Walk On The Milky Way, is good. It's slow but spacey, floating...a nice chill opening. It does grow repetitive, but another layer is dropped towards the second half which adds some character. 03. Synergy...I thought was initially track 2 for some reason. I like this song alot. Although it doesn't change much, it's catchy enough that those vibes and sounds are perfect just the way they are. I like songs like this one, they feel motivating to get something done in some way. The feeling of "Let's go...we're going somewhere." I suppose I'm talking about the tempo, the rhythm, it's beat and sounds are more alive and the music' pacing and overall sound is catchy. 04. Freefalling Upwards...is another track like 2 and 7 in that it's quicker paced. It's just not nearly as cool and catchy as them to me. One of the notes keep going up and down, up and down...I don't know, I lose interest, but I like the ambient notes. Those are pleasent and add feeling if that makes sense. 05. Early Morning, sounds nice and uplifting. I like when the song changes...ambience, and then develops with more layers into something more interesting and catchy. 06. Useless Planets or Underwater is a far sadder sounding song...like someone contemplating their life, something in it that's not happy. Maybe this song is good for creating such emotion, (sadness) but this track grows tedious to me because it goes on and on with these sounds, which keep me in a mental state I don't feel cool or good being in. 07. Molecular Design has this sound about 7 seconds into the sample at saikosounds. Dee dee, daa dee... that's cool sounding. And it repeats and echoes on and off when the ambient stays around 1 minute into the sample. That is a cool sound. I like that, and all the chimes and strange notes that echoe with it. At around 2:00 into samples at saiko, the song adds another layer of sound and then with the beat, and then another melody...this song sounds really good. I so would like more quicker paced, catchy, creative, cool, melodic songs like these ones! 08. Venus Seven is more floating, very chill and laid back. It's more visual to me...good to visualize to. Truth is, people will generally like songs like 2 and 7 more because they have a beat, and one can do more while listening to it. It's more friendly, like when driving or doing work, working out, etc. Venus Seven sounds very simple, the notes used and structure of the song sounds less involved, but that's how ambient is in general I feel. This is a very peaceful song. 09. Steps Leaving (Dedicated To Zolod, R.I.P.) ... like someone going to heaven or passing through lights or realms into another world. This song is sad to me, more emotional. I like it. I like tracks 2, 3, 7 most to date. By the way: Track 6 is called Useless Plane on Saikosounds...but above and on psyshop...track 6 is titled called Underwater. Someone may want to correct this error.
  6. Some very good songs coupled with some very boring (and not good choices) ones. I truly feel bored while listening to some songs. Other songs however feel fresh and innovative. Overall, I feel like I've heard this before by them and done better. However, few songs by them here are better than many of their previous ones too. They always seem to return with a better song after a disappointment, but why not just keep the whole album great? Consistent reviews suggest what best works and doesn't. Maybe some people disagree with some things I say. Regardless, I have been listening to Entheogenic for over 5 years. I own their other albums and respect them and anyone interested in their music enough to write this. TRACK 1, Midnight Eyes is fairly good until an annoying, repeating elevator-tune arrives...the track dips until this sound leaves. The song improves again and sounds better with the gental guitar sound towards the last third. I generally like when gentle, female voices occasionally echo throughout floating, chill, new age music. I like the guitar or violen sound coupled with more or different notes of ambience for deeper effect. Track 2, Sideways gets annoying with that altered childs and the guys voices. The same going for one or two other tracks with this type of foreign singing, as if an indian is saying prayers over the a fire. Oh, and then that twisting, twisty, squeechy sound is irritating. I don't care for most of the ideas musically in this song, where a man's voice carries throughout. Very repetitive and that screetchy sound was a bad idea IMHO. It takes me completely out of the song because it's so piercingly annoying, and continuous. It's distracting!! Track 3, Golden Cap is good. There is more kick, no irritating mans voice chanting or whatever he was doing in track 2, and the melodies are not that gripping, but they're definitely nice. The song has a good feel to it. More songs like this would be very cool. Track 4, Zero Plus I find decent. It's average to me until the music drops some layers and brings back the beats, where it gradually improves with different melodies and the ethereal sounds/hums are a very nice touch. The voice sample is cool too and when the harder beat kicks in soon after that voice sample of "having a dream..." that's is good. It's catchy and I like when they lift off the track, making it more animated and fun to listen to. Track 5, Kashmir Day Trip I don't care for that guys voices again, but the parts when the harder beat and moody ambience kicks in works very well. It's to bad as soon as it seems to go somewhere...it tunes out and returns back to less layers of sounds. It wouid have been nice to see this track lift off several times (as I feel it does) and then really, REALLY blast off and be a great one, but they're choice of adding the beat on and off limit this song from achieving such heights. I wish that harder beat stayed on throughout the second half and they kept adding more layers, ambience, echoe's, voices, etc...until you're sorrounded by beautiful waves of sound and enchantment with a good beat to ride the wave on. Track 6, The Solution Machine on the other hand does not disappoint me. This is arguably the best song on the album. It's darker in tone, moody, interesting... definitely different from what I'm used to hearing from Entheogenic. The melody notes throughout the first half especially sound very good until the song evolves. It keeps a cool beat and pace througout. I'd love to see more provocative pieces from Entheogenic like this one. That would be great. Track 7, Absphinx continues with those same voices I wished would be gone by now from the superior Solution Machine before it. I can't make out the gnarls and strange, angry yelling sounds reason for being here. They seem out of place and musically not attractive to me. At this point I wish Entheogenic created another moody piece like the previous song to follow-up that more mature style as opposed to this one. I really don't care for this song in general and wish it wasn't on the album. Maybe the artists read what listeners write about there music and realize what works better and what doesn't. I hope so. Track 8, Secret Tongues is better than the previous song...not like it has room to get worse than track 7. It's okay to me, but it lacks ambience and feeling until the last several seconds when it's too late. A fast pace and a bunch of break beats can't save it from lacking emotion and depth IMHO. Track 9, Ju is slow, relaxing, the piano is a nice choice. While nothing great or all that good to me, it's a peaceful closing. Entheogenic: Golden Cap is one of the better albums of 2006. Entheogenic as a group or artist however generally does not sound nearly as engaging to me as they once were. I really like The Solution Machine, it's darker, more moody. I like stuff like that, but there's not enough of that darker, more moody stuff here. I wish they aimed at being generally darker on throughout an album for once. It could be great, fresh coming from them who don't seem to innovate anymore. Their first album is still their best by a landslide. However, when I hear tracks like GOLDEN CAP (good) and THE SOLUTION MACHINE (interesting, catchy and different)... I know they the skills to release a great album, considered great by the majority and myself. This album is above average of course, but not there best by a sure shot. MIDNIGHT EYES, GOLDEN CAP, ZERO EYES, THE SOLUTION MACHINE.
  7. I listened to samples on saikosounds. I really like this. Parts (ethnic/tribal influences, drums, etc..) definitely seem inspired by legendary Juno Reactor. I like how the songs changes, morph, evolve...the sounds, (drums), ambience (sound of water drops, nature, etc..) and especially the echoed voices. The melodies sound pretty good but I wish there were more layers. Also Alpha Beater has this up and down sound that keeps repeating before the beautiful voice/song change which sounds silly and somewhat irritating to me. I wish they found a better/cooler first half, but I'm greatful for the second half, it builds and surprises because you don't expect the song to become so good. The drums and tribal sounds are a big plus! This album is fresh, creative, exciting, and energetic! Well done! Favorite tracks - 1, 4, 7, 8.
  8. The Electric Universe spirit is gone. The added voices here are lame and CHEESY!!! Cosmic Experience was a good/great album. I imagine some people forget how great this artists' work has been in the past. Take Boris' least good album and devide that quality in half. You get this. It's a disappointment compared to every album he's released before this...lacking in passion, creativity, innovation, the EU sound which includes seriously catchy/streaming melodies, great songs, and virtually everything (but a beat) that made his other albums treasures. The only time I felt some interest here was when the music sped up in one of the earlier tracks. Umm..yea, no. What happened? This sucks.
  9. I won't disagree with any of you. I have finally heard this album on this date, 2006. Track 5 is both sad and powerful. Track 6, My Kingdom is beautiful and how the song develops into those voice sounds is great! The album has sounds that provoke such feelings, dreamy ideas, thoughts, and visuals. It's atmospheric, melodic, sad, dark, beautiful, peaceful, innovative, moody, and catchy. I did hear "We have Explosives" on a techno comp back in 1997 though. It's a good song. I don't consider every song spectacular or excellent, but anyone can argue that because of it's time. And I'm not here to argue. This is an excellent album.
  10. RADICAL DISTORTION vs MENDARK: PURPLE ENERGY MY REVIEW I received my copy in the mail and it's amazing how similar my impressions are to my review. In short, they start the album off strong with the first four tracks. I noticed they did something similar in Radical Distortions 2006 debut. Do they not see or care to acknowledge this? Does anyone else see how awesome it would be if they followed those several great tracks and made a whole album of just awesome songs back-to-back masterpiece? I know they have done great work because I own this album and I've heard some of their other songs, and I don't just throw the word "great" around. After the first 4 solid songs...the album seems to take a slump. Tracks 6 and 8 are other two good songs on the album I feel, but when you hear those two songs around what I call, fillers, sorry but they're not that good...you're impression has already dipped and it's tougher to arrest your listener as you did in your flawless opening. Do I say make the beginning weaker to compensate for a great middle? NO. I say, or ask that they make the whole album great. The word DECENT means OKAY, it does not mean GOOD or GREAT. Please keep that in mind. I love the opening on this album. I know the first song is nothing spectacular, but those melodies kickass...you can feel the goa vibes and influences throughout certain songs more than others on this psytrance album, which is definitely one of the better psytrance albums of 2005. I really like the melodies and song directions in tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8. Track 2 sounds fairly basic and simple, but it's got a strong beat, some cool, echoed sounds. It feels like a more calm, less melody-driven dance song until the next bigger, more energetic one, which happens to track 3, the darker one with the movie sound samples I really like, both the samples and the whole song. It's really good. Make it wild. This is fun!! The last track really accentuates the "sound level" of the melody and I actually find that catchy. I like the last track more than I thought I did, but I'm also very much into melodies in general so I admit my tilt toward enjoying this fairly less ambitios song more. However, I still feel the last song is weaker for a final song, and I do wish this album was stronger as a whole, as the first four songs, and tracks 6 and 8 are. The ambient (sustained notes) parts in track 5, Purple Energy, add a very nice touch...but without those ambient notes, (that create some feeling) I think the track be barely average to me. I really like the first song very much, and it's arguably my favorite song on the album so far. I just love those catchy melodies and how they blend together and change-up, etc...the song has energy, even if it's by peoples standards in general, not averaging the best song on this album, it's a great way to start it. Track 3 is dark and aggressive in a very cool way...another song that is very good and one of my favorites on this album. Mendark's track 4 is good too. SCORE: Around a B- or a 7.5 out of 10. 1.Radical Distortion - Equilibrium 2.Mendark vs Sunhize - 3 On a Tree 3.Radical Distortion - Skunk Pack 4.Mendark - It Came Up The Mind 5.Radical Distortion & Mendark - Purple Energy 6.Radical Distortion - The Halloween Project 7.Mendark - The Only Way 8.Radical Distortion - Inspiration 9.Mendark - Psycho Filler PS: I recently heard a song by "Mendark and Cydelix" called Comentai and I found it fantastic...very interesting, dark, spooky/eerie sounds, catchy stuff. That IS the best Mendark song (whoever this artist is I've never heard of before until this album) I've heard to date. The second best Mendark song would be It Came Up The Mind on this album. Both are good songs. Unfortunately I find the other songs I've currently heard by this artist okay, not nearly as good in comparison so far...
  11. That is great news that it's coming along!...but half as good? I hope it's all as good, if not better than the last!! He's more experienced now. He has potential to make something beyond the first.
  12. So when is the next one coming then? Great, and I do mean GREAT album by the way. Very creative and over-the-top in a thank you for taking risks-type way. Infernal Angel is one of my favorite psytrance albums ever. I LOVE the song with female vocals, more melody layers...track 4 I think?? Wow that's so beautiful in a cool way. I hope the next one takes things further than ever before while still remainig catchy, insanely creative, amusing, and fun as HECK to listen too!!
  13. Impressions / Not a review. One of the better albums of 2005 and I somehow missed it. Okay well, Several songs sound very good on this album. I didn't know about this release until now. Tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8 sound most catchy so far to me...some good psytrance dance songs with some very cool melodies on this album. There are some weak songs here. The stronger ones are definitely good. Track 1 sounds decent, a fairly good opening and intro to the better songs. Track 2 sounds boring to me in the beginning. It improves somewhere in the middle though. Track 3 is dark and full of character and energy. Oh I like this!, and the voice samples make it even more catchy. Good one. Tracks like this one, 4, 6, and 8 make me consider buying this album. Track 5 is annoying in the beginning with those high pitched sounds and more sounds that soon follow until the ambience comes in. Man do I not like what I'm hearing until the song direction changes with ambient notes. It takes time to get catchy and improve. Words of wisdom: Do NOT repeat lines that are NOT catchy!!! Make awesome songs from beginning to end. Track 7... more ambience, kinda cool...but some of these Mendark influenced tracks could have been better. Some I like however, who ever this artist is. Track 8, the last Radical Distortion track on this "Vs" album is solid, cool dance song with catchy melodies. Track 9 isn't bad but weak compared to earlier songs. It could have been much better for a final track. Always make a REALLY GOOD, great, or awesome track at the end so listeners end the album with a GOOD or GREAT memory of it. The more impressive the tracks, the more people you're likely to hook. I like the darker approach, so why not add dark melodies and go insane like Dark Soho originally did with their super dark, dancefloor stompers, but in Radical Distortions style of course? They could make something amazing. Just an idea. I prefer to see an album entirely comprised of kickass and super goatrance songs from them if that's at all possible. http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=5217
  14. Nice review psychedelic_mustache. My Impressions/feedback... I remember Radical Distortion from the Apsara album. I also remember considering the last track they did on Apsara one of the few less strong songs on the comp, but solid enough for me to consider pretty good. So did they get lazy here? I mean, was it not possible for them to take the time and make it all goatrance?, because the first four tracks sound very good. At this point I'm about to order a copy for myself until.. The goatrance feel changes at track 5 and surprisingly goes into that Full On sound that doesn't go over well with most goatrance lovers/listeners it seems. It also seems to have Full On songs for the rest of the album, or until the last track, which sounds good. Hmmm...it's not bad for Full On but when you place it next to something so beautiful, melodic, etc...I get disappointed. I wonder what happened? While listening to track 5, I'm thinking that hopefully this will be just a cool filler track before returning to the goatrance songs again.. So why are they trying to eat their cake and have it too? Why are they doing both goa and full on psy? Why are they splitting up the album? Most goatrance listeners may instantly recognize this shift, and question or be turned off by it...and most Full On people may not get hooked when sampling the first several initial songs I'd imagine. Track 5 is OKAY, but loses that goatrance feel and seems to be the transistion track of the album, from goatrance to Full On. The last track seems very chill, melodic, catchy....a good way to end the album that seems like it would have been great if they continued their goatrance (first 4 songs) style throughout and added at least 3 or 4 more solid goatrance songs. One or two full on songs I could live with, but half the album??! Bummer...I find some people including myself will have more difficulty buying this when only half of the album is what is liked. I am not against all Full On, but please guys...not on an album that makes you believe its GOOD goatrance until the 5th track. Why? And to prove I'm not against all Full On, I like track 8, Universe (Feat. Radical Project). It's a pretty cool song and it would have been very cool if the other Full On tracks matched the catchyness, melodies of this and/or better. We as listeners are taking a detour from something great (the goatrance songs) to hear the songs in a sub-genre (Full On) that are usually very basic and typical, so it's even nicer when the non-goatrance songs are [at least] pretty good like track 8 seems to be. It's like they're trying to appeal to both sides but giving each side half of what they want. I respect the good goatrance songs on this and wish the whole album followed that goa direction because that could have been awesome. Tracks 1, 2, 3 sound really good and/or great!, the best on the album. Track 4 sounds "pretty" good. Track 8 seems like a relief after hearing tracks 6 and 7, which I find very disappointing/below average. Track 9 also sounds very lacking, your typical dance trance, Full-On stuff I've heard a thousand times and find boring and tedious to listen to. The final track 10 sounds good, very cool. I wish there was more of those "great" goatrance songs and/or at least the full on songs were better. Track 8 is cool but the other full on ones take up half the album and will contributing to stunting both sales and appreciation of this album. Track 10 sounds good, the chill song is one of the best on the album. Damn I wish there was more good/great songs between tracks 4-10...(!!) I would have so bought this. PS: I noticed they [basically] have another album, just released last year. It seems more psy with goa influences than half and half like this album seems to basically be...regardless, it seems to have some very catchy, good songs on it too and it seems more consistent in what it's going for than this one, which would have been great if they continued it like the first three songs (all the way through) and kept the last one of course. Oh well. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/umc/umc1cd007.html
  15. KA-SOL - FAIRYTALE SUNTRIP RECORDS 2006 Track list: 1. Tecmorning (8:58) 2. Blogz (8:54) 3. Shlumpen (8:09) 4. Skreno (7:37) 5. Back Basic (Goa Mix) (7:57) 6. Matrix Remix (8:57) 7. No Return (9:09) 8. Sticky Web (7:58) 9. White Magic (8:04) 10. The Light (8:04) This is an interesting album. It lacks intros and that isn't a big deal, though it seems a bit startling at first. Some tracks are strong and some not so much. On tracks without intros I feel the melodies don't replace but do make up for it. 1. TECMORNING is an extremely hard [in sound] opening that doesn't do anything for me other than make the three songs that follow it sound that much better. There are some bubbly, psy-sounds around the beat as Derango's done. I find the overall song uneventful, uninteresting, repetitive, noisy, and one of the worst songs I've heard by this artist. I don't know what Suntrip was thinking when they released decided on this song. It seems out of place here. Disappointing. C- 2. BLOGZ shows signs of catchier synth work around a solid beat. It's changes make it more engaging than the opening track, though the song isn't that eventful and takes time to pick up. Decent song. B- 3. SCHLUMPEN is the darkest track on the album so far. Around 1:50 start the melodies. By 2:25 this song has developed into something even more substantial. However things don't evolve much more past this point, save a unique synth, a nice sound towards the end. The echoed dripping water effects add a nice touch too. This is a pretty good song. B 4. SKRENO is the first song to really grab me on the album. It breaks further away from the monotonous approach and has more engaging synth work, such as at 2:45 and 4:24. Some bad key changes exist towards the end too; it's not hard to hear how "off" (and not in a good way) they sound. Like at 5:35, 5:41 5:48. 5:55, etc. Overall, this is a pretty good song but those off key changes sound amateurish regardless of whether they were intended or not. B 5. BACK BASIC (GOA MIX) I find suspect; it has a similar sounding synth (2:12 to 2:45) to Chi-A.D's EXIT ETERNITY. Maybe it's inspired or unintentional; I listened to both songs back-to-back in my itunes and found the similarities quite close. Listen for yourself and decide. What else does this song have going for it? Some psy sounds around beat and synth; it sounds pretty generic until around 4:51 where some energy injects into it. There are also some unique sounds towards the end but it's not enough to save the song from mediocrity. C 6. MATRIX (REMIX) has unique synth work that's catchy and emotive. The song is more developed, melodic, and free in spirit. Symphonic sounds that enters around 2:10 are well done. Another example is around 3:31. The short voice sample via transition enhances the vehicle, and sets it up for more involvement. Good work! B 7. NO RETURN is one of the weaker ones here, only to follow a pretty good one before it. The first third is pretty much haunting sounds around a beat. Hold on. Let me get out my Halloween sound fx cd. There are scratchy noises, and a unique synth that grows catchier towards the second minute-plus. It all sounds fairly repetitive and recycled in ideas after a while. At 5:20, suddenly things pick up; the entire song evolves and grows more lively and exciting. Why can't there be more fun moments like these on this album? It's waiting to get to moments like these that will turn off numerous listeners. C 8. STICKY WEB is one of the best songs on the album. The sounds/melodies are beautiful in a fast, aggressive and driving way. The overall track direction and development is gripping, strong. This is a creative and catchy throughout. B+ 9. WHITE MAGIC has some nice, higher pitched melodies, but those are towards the end. The overall song isn't as good as the other synth (melody?) driven songs on Fairytale. This is a fairly average song until the end in my opinion. The end probably stands out more, to some degree, because the previous part is so mediocre. Good use of gothic/nightmarish sound fx. C 10: THE LIGHT ends the album strong and melodically fierce and involves some of the strongest feeling on the album. The opening voice sample compliments it, creating a feeling of sadness and hope. The various sounds and melodies are very strong in this number. It's very emotive and one of the best I've heard yet by Ka-Sol. B+ CONCLUSION - There is some good work here. Some tracks are okay and one is pretty bad in my opinion. Some of the songs sound weak in development; they lack strong craftsmanship compared to others. A disappointment is when I hear a good song followed by a monotonous, uninteresting one. I know Ka-Sol is capable of stronger work, Suntrip of better releases. On the positive, the album brings life into the void by the forth number (there's more attention to melodies). If you're a big fan of melodies however, you may not like this album very much. There is some interesting work; the style is different. Song intros would have been nice. That said, this is one of the more interesting albums of 2006 due to the parts that engage. It's dark, fairly melodic, aggressive, and not what you'd expect from Suntrip Records. Give it a try. See what you think The album has some cool ideas, moments, and strengths. It's just nothing spectacular as a whole and lacks consistency in what makes its greatest moments work. This is bound to divide audiences. I really like and dislike parts. I am a big fan of The Light. Favorite tracks: 3, 4, 6, 8, 10. B-
  16. Wtf...the song Kashmir Day Trip on this Entheogenic album seems to rip off parts of a song called Whisper by Fatali on the "Life is Dimentions" comp. Whether that was intentional or not, the album seems very similar in the sense there are some good, more catchy ones and the usual slower, less energetic (and boring) songs. Overall, it's time for them to reinvent themselves or take some risks in my honest opinion. Track 3, Golden Cap is pretty good. I like the kick...the beat and melodies. I like the songs with more of a beat, more energy like track 3 for starters. Track 6 is good, one of the best ones on the album, easily. There are a few innovative exceptions here (The Solution Machine) but other times it seems as if they're repeating and rehashing their own formula. It may work for some fans and newscomers but... Golden Cap is not a great album IMO...but it's definitely one of the better downtempo/chill albums of 2006...a very weak year so far.
  17. These are impressions (Not a review) so I'm gonna keep it short (er) than a review and longer than most impressions because I had more thoughts here. Surprisingly, what I quoted above is how I felt during several samples. The tracks in general seem to become more interesting toward the middle and on. The samples on all previous Suntrip albums (Filteria, Apsara, and Khetzal) have been arresting and unquestionably good enough for me to buy (and review). For the first time however, I'm not engaged, (as much) and I loved Ka-Sol's "Scraqp" song on the Apsara comp. I also really enjoyed the dark, repetitive in a catchy-way greatness of songs like Electric Kool-Aid (?) by Ka-Sol. Some songs on this album seem better in pieces than the sum of their parts...basically many ideas scattered all over the place without sounding really congruent...that good flow, that evolving, developing (in an intriguing way) structure seems less here. Also, the direction here does NOT sound as strong or clear here as previous Suntrip releases. I think that is because these tracks were taken from random times, not originally intended to be a main album as much as it's a compilation of exclusive Ka-Sol tracks...so there's not exactly a flowing story or an obvious or conscious connection from one track to the next. I think a good idea would have been to start off light and develop into darkness or the darker to the darkest tracks (before a peaceful final) or something more along those lines. Good news is that there seems to be a good amount of quality here. I instantly find attractive the overall sound and melodies of track 4, Skreno. It's catchy and the first song on the album to engage me. And a strong, CATCHY melody on Matrix Rmx (and sample) really gets my interest. Sticky Web is another song that YES, I can tell when something sounds good...especially when you it after a track that almost puts me to sleep like No Return. There seems to definitely be some very good songs on here and some not-so-good ones either. In a year that's been disappointing so far, this album does sound unique and certaintly stands out, no matter how popular or unpopular it turns out to be...it just doesn't sound up to the level of great albums like Sky Imput, Apsara, Khetzal, or even Heliopolis...and I say "even" because the recent Filteria Heliopolis album (while very well done and having some awesome songs) wasn't as fresh and innovative to me as the orignal, the Apsara comp, or Khetzal. Maybe some of this will change when I hear the entire album, after all... This is not a review.. EDIT: UPDATE: MY REVIEW IS ON PAGE 2.
  18. First off, I thank all of you for your comments/recommendations. Whether you agree with me or not...it's interesting to hear different views. Here are my current returns: Say, what? That would be a a huge surprise. My only concern is that if Earth Crossing was never released, they probably changed their style or sound so a new album (?) get released...I hope this change is from something great...to something else great, even if it isn't their oldskool goatrance which I love. Krelmatrix: Your post is hilarious. Anoebis... Big thanks for making me aware of Peace Therapy 2. I didn't know about it until now. The artist list impresses me with AES DANA, CHI-A.D. KHETZAL, GOASIA, and more...deff got my attention and I will buy this comp. The samples sound very good and I really like this. lol... Nice. Thank you for that. I presume this comment is directed to me because I've written impressions on a handful of albums before based on the 4 minute samples. I would never write a full review OR score an album unless I heard it in it's entirety...that means I own it. I always say "These are impressions based on samples" or "The following is not a review," when I toss some thoughts and aspects I liked or disliked. The last impression by me would be on Loopus 2006 album. There is no grade...but I wanted to share brief thoughts because ppl have an idea whether they like or dislike something when they sample an album. That's how most ppl choose whether to buy or not. I don't write reviews based on samples and I rarely [currently] write impressions anymore. I'm not interested. If I feel passionate enough about an album...I'll write a solid, thoughtful review...reason why they're so damn long. See Filteria 2006 Heliopolis, and Khetzal from 2005 (end of thread) several examples of a review by me, NOT impressions which I always say in the post. I own albums I review, hence the grade/score at the end and I'll be careful in the future to not jump on an album coz I didn't love the samples. Other ppl write impressions too occasionally, difference is most of them do not admit that on their short posts. See Filteria: Heliopolis thread for evidence. And thank you for encouraging him,
  19. I mean, is anyone not disappointed? Thank God for other genre's...seriously...or I'd be listening to elevator music. Going up? I bought one 2006 album this year. I like it, alot. But that's it. What the hell is up with all the shitty psytrance releases? I know most of the releases suck anyway in all genres it seems convienient to say but WHERE ARE THE GREAT RELEASES??? It's FREEKIN MAY ALREADY. The year is half over. What is up with most of these record labels producing the same boring stuff, noise, dance club trance??? How can they keep making money when almost every other psytrance label is promoting and releasing the same thing??? They can't forever. New ideas and inventions must come out or people will stop buying! It saves me money from spending, (coz I'm not buying) great! Two of the few albums I look forward to this year is TALPA'S and KA-SOL from Sun. All the other talents seem depressing and to have lost the magic in their so called COMEBACK. Like MFG isn't bad...but it's not half as great and imaginative and fun as their first 4 albums. Do we have a new YOUNG BROTHER album? I don't know...something unqiue, yes...PROMETHEUS is dropping a new album this year...that should be pleasing to listen to if it releases this year and the best albums seem to come out the last 3-4 months of the year at least. Better for Christmas sales I assume. Most artists KICKDRUM, generic, *REPETITIVE*, less imaginative and ambitous sound BORES me to death. It's not us on these boards as much as it's people across the world who are unaware of the really great psy/goa trance that seems rarely produced now days. Good full on or bad full on...none of it is THAT GOOD to me so far in 2006, and I'm not totally against FULL ON either...this isn't a personal attack, I just had to get this out of my system. Does anyone else concur or is it just me...that 2006 has been an EXTREMEMLY lackluster year for psytrance, trance, etc.. thus far. 2004 was the last year that I remember being good IMHO and even 2005 had more kickass releases in it's first 6 months I think.
  20. Sounds funky, different, goofy, and occasionally fun. My impressions based on the extended samples are that it's nothing spectacular but def one of the better electronica albums of 2006. I like what I've heard from the first three songs. I also like parts of track 5 (the sample on psyshop) WOW...catchy! So I suppose this is short feedback to the artist. Overall this isn't my type of album to buy now...but it certainly sounds different and I respect that.
  21. It's cool to see Psyfactor releasing something different, ambient/downtempo. I think Psyfactor has some very good idea's, melodies, and some good execution. Unfortunately I find many of the songs don't seem all that interesting or as catchy as FEW others. There are two songs I really like here...those being tracks 2 and 7. I wish he made more songs like that....an entire album of great ambient/trance. (!) Tracks I also like are 3, 5. Anyway, I like songs with more feeling and [usually] more of a kick, melodies, dynamics, which is what track 2 and 7 provides. Track 4 is too repetitive and uninteresting sounding to me. I don't find the beat and melody good. Track 6 has more feeling which I like...but once these same sounds and melodies repeat I lose interest. It's TOO REPETITIVE. More work and time needs to be put into making it more dynamic, layered, moody, catchy. Track 7 I really like. The music slows down.. interesting. Where will this go I wonder. The sounds are nice, unique...the melodies are catchy and the beat and other layers support them very well. Can Psyfactor make more tracks like this one? This is good and I'd totally buy his album if there were more songs as good as this one or better. That would be very cool. Track 8 plays more spacey, ambient-driven like track 1. It's a disappointment to me from the previous song that I thought was good. Track 8 may work well as an intro, outro, or bonus song, but I overall find it boring, especially after hearing the previous one that has more character and intrigue. Track 9 sounds even slower and minimal than the one before it. I wish it lifted up (or down...basically picked up and took off) when you least expected it with a cool, hard, down-tempo beat, hits, evolving this thing into a great chill with strong beat song other than long ambience with sound fx, chimes, water sounds, etc..that it is. It's too drawn out and doesn't seem to go anywhere interesting sound-wise, which is why I find it boring. In conclusion, I understand this was his vision and what the artist felt probably seemed strong at the time of creating this...judging from someone who's heard a ton of ambience, downtempo, etc however (and what I consider good) it's just not my style. I like the several tracks I mentioned good before in my impressions. Psyfactor has talent to make quality downtempo/ambient songs, and if he focuses on othe best ones here to make a follow-up chill album, he has potential to really unleash something even better and potentially grab an even wider audience through stronger word-of-mouth.
  22. 01. The Handler 02. Gidi Fake 03. Niapo 04. B2P2 05. Oz (Electrypnose Remix) 06. Stupid Moons 07. Disfunction 08. Cerebral Factory 09. Le Tireur De Ficelles 10. Brain Surgery 11. Bas Les Masques I like the melodies (eerie/cool) sound, and style. They're interesting and catchy. Between the melodic elements however (with exception to atmospheric parts), I occasionally find segments of repetition bring down an otherwise pretty good release! PROS - Segments of MELODIES. Interesting introductions to songs (thank you)! Alterations, tweeks, mixing, voice samples, sound fx, etc. After the repetitive, harsh part in B2p2 that ends at around 2:18... just listen to how catchy the song is from 2:33 to2:55. Now why can't more of the album do that and avoid the less tasty, yet psychedelic approach? The rest of the song is good. That said,, psychedelic is generally good. Tasty and psychedelic is GREAT. CONS - Occasionally, if not often repetitive [in beat] sounding and various other sounds, regardless that they're often enhanced. AFTER the engaging intro in The Handler, the song gets repetitive from 1:30 to 2:50 (mixing enhancements aside). A good amount of track 2 is repetitive too. Sure there's tons of fx and enhanced editing/mixing, but that doesn't make the song gripping alone per say. Niapo just sounds random with the sound fx at times. B2p2 overall sounds pretty repetitive too (again, mixing touch ups aside) and has this harsh synth sound from 1:52 to 2:18. Brain Surgery I find repetitive, boring, regardless of it's little, mixing bits. Without strong synth leads, it's weak. The synth work around 1:30 in OZ isn't so catchy IMO. The melody that arrives at 1:55 and 5:15 especially is however! I love good atmosphere, melodies, and changing up the beat, and overall song DIRECTION, developing and evolving the song like he does in his other work and at times is less frequent here. Though it's here, in OZ and some other tracks. Well done! I wish there were more MELODIES...but I'm not going to complain too much because this album isn't melody-driven as much dark Psytrance in Electrypnose's general style and approach. There are some great elements. Overall this album is pretty good. I would love more synth lead elements. For example, listen to the albums: Semsis - Letting Go and Menis - Temporal Insanity for some great, melodic/lead synth work! Coupled with Electrypnose's articulative, intricate style, having stronger leads could be incredibly delicious! That said, there are some synth leads here; they're great. Lots of good mixing too! When the synth work and melodies arrive, they compliment the mixing and the whole album engages me on a deeper level. Good release. Great artist! B
  23. FILTERIA: HELIOPOLIS SUNTRIP RECORDS 2009 *Updated* January, 2009. 1. UNFILTERED (MOON RMX) 2. SPEECH MODULE 3. REFLECTED 4. MIND EXPANSION 5. PYROGEN 6. ROTATE TO VIBRATE 7. LUNAR CIVILIZATION (FILTERIA'S HIGHER RMX) 8. CLOUD KINGDOM (SOLOR FIELDS RMX) If you just dived out of a space ship, and you're falling to Earth at a thousand miles per hour, Heliopolis (and Sky Input) pretty much sum up your insane descent, that is if it lasted for 70 minutes. Heliopolis is the follow-up to 2004's Sky Input album. Both are in the style of old-school Pleiadians and a blast of high-octane energy. Heliopolis has many layers but not as many as the debut. This may be too much for some people just to listen to through their computer, head phones, etc. I've heard this album on my head phones, at home, while exercising, and driving. I honestly see this being so much more appreciative to dance to, at a trance party, outside at nighttime, and/or driving to fast to at night. Naturally, having the right mood for anything often helps. Unfortunately, some of the mystery is over since we are desensitized to Filteria's sound. Those who heard Sky Input generally know what to expect. We’ve have become more critical. However do expectations not go for most follow-ups and sequels in general? Unlike Sky Input which pushed the current boundaries on climax, Heliopolis sacrifices a good amount of those many climaxes (and some layers too) for better melody structure, musical development, and song variety. Fans of Sky Input should be pleased to know, there are still climaxes. The style hasn't lost too much of its intensity either, but some. By better arranging and distancing the big climaxes, the songs actually have more time to breathe and build. They stand out more. Will this more intense, bursting-with-energy album be too much for some listeners? Yes. Will some people enjoy the bigger, more relentless (what some have referred to as "raw") debut more? Sure. Regardless, it isn't all about intensity, climax, and layers. This artist knows that no matter how much of a role these elements play. Heliopolis is more balanced than its predecessor. 1. UNFILTERED is an excellent opening. It begins with an interesting voice sample about artifacts. The beginning sounds float through the air like a calm night before the storm arrives. This song has so many ideas, so much energy, character changes and development. There are so many catchy, musical twists and turns. I love the change ups, the overall direction, drums, melody work, and more. Maybe the only thing missing are some clever key changes most notable in coming tracks 3 and 6. Other than that this song is very dynamic, at times unpredictable, and animated. I really like songs like these that have so much character, imagination, and ideas well executed. A- 2. SPEECH MODULE is not such a great follow-up to the opening. This second song doesn't achieve what most songs on here will, and that is to sound more than just a song that didn't make the cut from the Sky Input album even if that's not the case. Maybe this artist had less of an elaborate vision for this song, or not. Either way it's still fun to listen to. There's a decent amount of cool psychedelic sounds. Those Pleiadian streams of melodies piled up are here to some degree too. I think this song is fairly good, but I feel like I've heard this before. I know this artist can do better. I realize not every song can be excellent, a masterpiece, or impressive to me or anyone. However after hearing the opening track Unfiltered I honestly expected more. This is a cool breather before the next monster track. I enjoy the melodies although they seem less developed (more repetitive) here. The high pitched or frequency changes are cool. It's a pretty good song, just nothing great in my opinion. B- 3. REFLECTED for the first several minutes is pretty good but far from exciting or great. Suddenly a leading melody comes streaming across at around 4:11. At this point things suddenly pick up and I appreciate getting to this part more than before in retrospect. The sounds of the drums are accentuated, making the tone more aggressive and spiced up. Musically, I feel greatness, excellence has been touched, especially with the key shifts or changes 4:43 (up / down, etc.) and how this affects the melody and feel of the song. It's engaging and dynamic! At 8:22 the song climaxes again, a blast of those streaming melodies return like a chorus that repeats at an ideal time. This is one of the best songs on the album and by Filteria to date. A- 4. MIND EXPANSION I welcome as a less intense song relative to the previous one. The transition elements, the ambient, and other creative pauses and music directions are interesting and enjoyable. Whether good or great, I find this a very well done song. It's both fresher and more involved and engaging than the other less intense song so far titled Speech Module. B+ 5. PYROGEN is one of the most interesting tracks here. The artist is trying something different. The song is cleverly composed with gradual buildup and clearly less climax. The initial melodies aren’t so lit up that all of our attention is focused on one until around 1:40. Soon after this melody disappears as the listener travels further. At around 3:00 is the first leading melody and boost which elevates the song to a more catchy sound and speed. I really enjoy the melody fusion from around 4:12 to 4:35 and how it disappears for more traveling. Around 5:07 is a quiet transition laced in floating ambient. The song is interesting because we have no idea where it’s taking us. I think this is the most unique track on the album so far because it does things Filteria has first done here. It creates suspense and takes time to build. It isn’t as in-your-face like virtually every track from Sky Input. I'd love to see more creative approaches like the one here. There is something both juicy and fluid about the melody work. They blend together rather nicely. If Filteria continues more experimental directions like this one he will create something spectacular sooner or later. B+ 6. ROTATE TO VIBRATE is the best song on this album since Reflected. WOW. was what I said multiple times upon hearing this more than once. The melodies build the song into a blazing rocket. The ascending and descending key/note changes in the last third are excellent. They elevate the song so much. This is one of the best songs I've heard by Filteria yet. It becomes stronger and more powerful as it progresses. It also appears more involved and infectious over Reflected. Impressive work. A 7. LUNAR CIVILIZATION (Filteria's Higher Rmx) is a solid remix of a great song by Pleiadians. Both are great for dance floors at trance scenes. However any remix generally makes a song less original in my opinion. I prefer an artist to minimize remixes to originals not done by the artist. Nonetheless, some great work has come out of remixing the original Lunar Civilization whom many call a classic by Pleiadians. It’s interesting to hear the original and than this one. The new version is like a cross between old Pleiadians and Filteria of course. This is an accomplished track in its own right with a monster burst in the middle. With today’s technology and creativity this artist has updated and modernized a great song. It isn't my favorite here but neither was the original from the Pleiadians. If you liked the original, you'll likely enjoy this too. B+ 8. CLOUD KINGDOM (Solar Fields Rmx) made me uncertain during the first ten second. I also thought it sounded 80's syth/pop electronica as a reviewer wrote on psynews.org. A beautiful female voice enters soon after and suddenly any doubt in my mind washed away. This song escalates into a dreamy rhythm of uplifting sounds and melodies. However the track seems to lose direction, or fall off course from around 5:00 to 6:30. The beat disappears and the music loses layers. It just sits there. The song begins to drag. It happened once around 2:10 while holding some type of beat (as it repeated with little development) but I forgave it. In this case the rhythm thankfully picks up around 7:15 and finishes both the song and the album off well. Unfortunately I was nervous for a minute and I don't like feeling lost in a "why isn't the song engaging me" type way. Several of my friends whom I let hear this song agreed. It (the song) seems to get caught up in the middle before finding its soul and direction. I realize this is a transition. Nonetheless, a little trimming and editing could have made this thing stronger. I'm generally pleased with this but there is a bump or two in an otherwise well paved road. The beautiful female voice adds character, emotion, and warmth. I appreciate this song more than the closing on the debut because it's actually unexpected in that it’s emotive, pretty, and dreamy. Peace after chaos is better for contrast than a less intense Psy-Trance song which basically was the cool closing, yet less memorable closong on Filteria's Sky Input album in my opinion. B+ PROS 1. Heliopolis has several super songs which will work exceptionally well for dancing and psytrance parties. 2. Arrangement. Mixing. More work has gone into improving this follow-up and adding some very distinct songs. Time and energy put into the creative process, focus, direction, sound/melody arrangement, melody structure, mixing, (and more) shows. 3. There is a stronger song variety on Heliopolis. Several tracks stand out as being very unique, distinguishable characters. Not every track is back-to-back mad/intense or as similar as the impressive however more one-dimentional debut. 4. Some people say this follow-up has better production values than the original. Heliopolis sounds very clear, crisp, and well produced. It is a technical improvement in some ways. 5. Leading melodies such as from 2:40 forward on Reflected and soon after the 4:00 mark (especially 4:40 to 5:17 and again around 5:57 forward and again around 8:17 forward) are exciting! I can name two to three other tracks which impress me just as much if not more! 6. The album ends with a solid, Chill, Down-Tempo, Ambient song. It's refreshing to hear, floating, dreamy, and sometimes beautiful. This is a good if not great way to end the album. CONS 1.There were more memorable leading melodies in the debut. 2. Maybe it's time to introduce a wider range of sounds (new sounds as well) to a future Filteria album. Imagine how much deeper and imaginative, emotional (without being cheesy or fluffy obviously) things can get. Oh the possibilities. 3. Someone commented on key-changes or lack of. When the entire sound changes during songs like REFLECTED and the second half of ROTATE to VIBRATE, it's top stuff. More key changes and leading melodies, (as on UNFILTERED or PYROGEN) would have been awesome. It’s interesting how such a little thing can enhance a song. I wish there were more of these elements and I'm greatful for the ones that exist. They're fresh and exciting and fun to hear. I simply wish more than two tracks involved these dynamic alterations with the music. In Conclusion, Heliopolis improves upon its debut with better production and a good amount of new, well done, high-octane, melody-filled, psychedelic Goa-Trance songs. Several are excellent. The style and mixing in tracks like REFLECTED and ROTATE TO VIBRATE is superb. The drums have improved too. I love when the drums change up as more layers return. I also found very interesting the strong, deeper melodies and feel of UNFILTERED and PYROGEN followed by CLOUD KINGDOM. Few songs however such as SPEECH MODULE and LUNAR CIVILIZATION (RMX) appear to involve less substance, greatness, or originality. Nevertheless, Sky Input was the first Goa album in some time to be released so it had much more anticipation and mystery behind it than Heliopolis. This shouldn't discourage people from checking it out. The follow up also proves that the first was no fluke. This artist is very talented. He has creativity, determination, and ambition. He creates some excellent tracks with powerful leading and supporting melodies, sounds, and monster climaxes and rhythms. Atmosphere may be one of the few weaker aspects to work on and develop. It would be awesome if this artist continues to branch out, improves, and make quality Goa/Psy-Trance songs and albums. These updated songs arrive like missiles. They’re less dependent on climax and come equipped with improved flow, melody structure, and story telling at times, or so it seems. Tracks like UNFILTERED, REFLECTED, PYROGEN, and ROTATE TO VIBRATE are clear examples of excellent and improved work. Filteria's style has matured and become more interesting and dynamic. Filteria hasn't lost his energy. He's refined it. He's modified it. He hasn’t abandoned the hurricane of melodies, intensity, and layers either. Tracks like UNFILTERED start the album off with a bang! It's as if Filteria took notes from Pleiadian’s famous Head Spin song. In this sense the opening track is powerful, storming, energetic, layered, and exciting. Cloud Kingdom ends the sequel on a very chill and peaceful note. As you can see I think Heliopolis is a great album and I was more impressed with the debut for its time. With the first, no one was there to complain or say it was too intense, too maximal, or whatever. The artist seemed to know no limits before past those of the programming software without losing flow and correlation of the plethora of sounds generated. He went all out and capitalized on something to the point of sheer amazement and exhaustion. I loved it but the shock and awe has done its job. Sky Input in my honest opinion broke more ground for what it was. However I return to Heliopolis more often than Sky Input because I find its technical improvements and diversified tracks (comparable to the debut) more arresting and attractive to my updated ears. In short, if you liked Sky Input I'd be surprised if you don't like Heliopolis. Favorite tracks: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8. B+ Samples: Suntrip Records: http://www.suntriprecords.com Psyshop: http://tinyurl.com/pnp3s Saiko: http://tinyurl.com/rg3su THE COVER: I like the cover and I feel it's important to better accentuate the artist and album name in contrast to the busy background for future reference. Otherwise the cover reflects some sweet, nostalgic artwork from those classic Goatrance cover designs. It's very cool and pretty looking no doubt. Simply make sure people can see your name so they can better associate this cool cover to you and so your name is better accessible to the mind for numorous reasons.
  24. It's coming... http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hom/hom1cd047.html
  25. I agree! Well, I agree that they were one of the [few] best goa acts there ever was. Unfortunately it's too late for seeming to care with what they create/attach their name too. They've already tainted their image with all their disappointing, TYPICAL-sounding, full-on, dance trance/psytrance singles on comps over the last handful of years. Since Pleiadians split, it's been downhill since and I don't see it changing on some third titled album. I hear their new stuff and think, Jeeez...the other two guys in the group must have BEEN the WHOLE group because this NEW Pleiadians stuff sounds NOTHING one-tenth like Pleiadians best work. Think about it! People are hanging onto the name as if the evidence of boring, uninteresting singles wasn't obvious enough. Thats fine and all, but it's no excuse for them to release some full-on, general psytrance sounding album.... and general sounding psytrance, meaning AVERAGE (unimpressive) have been the only thing they've released since the group split up. If a cows front or back legs are broken, let it die. Don't watch it hobble around forever. That's how I feel about Pleiadians anyway. People would love to see them innovate and be masterful, intricate, imaginative, melodic, layered, interesting, ambitious, and super catchy once again, in and for our time now.
