Nobody said anything of the sort. I'd love for artists to get more money (and I neither pirate music nor have a high opinion of those who do) but that's a separate issue to having every Tom, Dick and Harry listening to pop music that calls itself psytrance because it's the in thing, which is what happens when genres become mainstream.

This. Call me emo if you want, but it's just a fact that 6 months after a genre gets popular it gets drowned by watered-down crap with women singing about teenage lust while men play guitars in front of giant inflatable Pepsi cans. I'd much rather tell people I like psytrance and have them stare at me blankly than tell people I like psytrance and have them assume I like Skazi, and if that makes me a snob then

I've just given it a listen, and I was pleasantly surprised. I agree that they need more progression but otherwise very good.

I just think the girl's back/cello shop is a neat idea. I expect it's been done before, but still.

Dzadzakin Not sure what to make of this. On the one hand Lev's exceptional talent as a producer is apparent in everything he does and this is no exception. But on the other hand I just don't like glitchstep/psyDM/whateverthefuckthisis as much as I like psytrance. Discuss.

It's pretty subjective what counts as psychedelic; the word means different things to different people. Personally I think most full-on is crap (same as almost any genre, though to my ears the crap:good ratio seems higher for full-on than for darkpsy or Goa) but there's some really good stuff too, like this. Either way I think it's silly to suggest that full-on isn't really psytrance, since the word "psytrance" is a well-established name for a genre of music, not just a term for anything that could be described as both "psychedelic" and "trance" - there's plenty of music that I find both psychedelic and trance-inducing that nobody would call psytrance. Full-on developed naturally from the same origin as the other psytrance subgenres like darkpsy, psyprog and neogoa and has as much in common with any of those styles as they have with each other (in fact the boundaries between styles are pretty fuzzy), so it's rather unfair for someone to say it isn't psytrance just because they don't like it.
