  1. NHJO hasn't been on a long hiatus, he's been posting every few months.
  2. Not really, no. Plenty of bwhale/Mike D drama still. Radi posts occasionally but is usually on hiatus. I think you already know where NHJO is
  3. Nice track. Not sure what to suggest - I hear a lot of this kind of thing at British festivals but don't actually own any of it. Have you tried Dickster's album?
  4. I was finding it boring until that great melody came in just before the 2 minute mark, then the rest of the track was awesome. Nice work.
  5. I just found out that Ed Nelson is dead
  6. The video description on YouTube is also enlightening.
  7. Congrats, Pavel. How's it going?
  8. Jon, are you aware that the forum supports spoiler tags?
  9. OK, let me know if you want it changed.
  10. Yep, I see what you mean. I'll look into it. e: In the meantime, if there's anything specific you want to change (e.g. avatar or sig) let me know and I can do it for you.
  11. I spent a bit of time reading audiophile hardware reviews today, and saw two different reviewers list IM among handful of CDs they used to test stuff. Make of that what you will.
  12. Thanks. Do you know whether any of the models mentioned at he link are likely to be incompatible with USB 3.0 ports? One of the reviews I saw for the Arcam rPAC seemed to suggest this could be a problem.
  13. Thanks for the link. I'm using KRK KNS 8400's at home, and RHA MA750i's elsewhere.
  14. I recently bought myself a laptop for making music on the go. It's a Razer Blade 14" and it's great, but the on-board sound card is predictably crap - for example, when played through my headphones (which sound fine when plugged into my desktop), a 50Hz sine wave sounds more like a triangle wave. I'm thinking about getting an external USB sound card and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I won't be using any additional hardware so I don't need a proper audio interface with a bunch of different ins and outs, nor do I need anything particularly high-end. I'm considering one of these two. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? I'm running Windows 8 (likely to be upgraded to 10 in the near future).
