  1. @Muerto: at the top right hand corner of the thread there is a box that says "Options". Click on it, then select "Standard" under "Display Modes" in the drop-down menu.
  2. There never was any "Off Topic section". The price of butter has decreased. We were always at war with Eurasia.
  3. Two new oCeLoT albums: link link The first will be downtempo, the second sounds like it will be in a very similar vein to 9 Lives, complete with similar cover (I bagsie posting it here when a high res image turns up somewhere): Some samples of his recent stuff can be heard on his myspace page.
  4. I've still not got Da Budet, but with regard to being the first darkspy album made for relaxing, I felt that Durdom and Multiple Personalities 3 served this purpose pretty well.
  5. If you like this style of darkpsy you should probably check out Parvati's back catalogue, especially the albums by Kindzadza, GoW & Meteloids, Naked Tourist and Para Halu. Though none of them have the melodic influences that are present in Wonderwise.
  6. I'm no fan of Enichkin's sound but you've gotta love that cover.
  7. The end is the best bit (well, the last two tracks anyway).
  8. Probably not. Since I personally can only name a handful of artists from any given country, simple statistics would explain the non-uniformity I can see. But some people (like you) can evidently think of a lot more acts than I, so you would be in a much better position to say whether some countries really have a lot more artists than others.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK8p6xZyMq4 It doesn't get much more depressing than this.
  10. Arsenic To be honest, for first-world countries I'm inclined to put the variation down to simple statistics. Apart from the handful of countries that have a disproportionately large scene for whatever reason (e.g. Israel, UK), I can only name at most a few artists from any given country. Why can I think of three psytrance acts from Macedonia but none from Kosovo? Probably because that's exactly the kind of thing one would expect when the number of artists I know divided by the number of countries I know is of the order 1. Frankly it would be more surprising if the number of artists in each country were "too uniform"; there's some actual maths about this kind of thing which I either don't know or have long since forgotten, but the upshot is that a small sample size leads to a large variation from expected values.
  11. There's a fair few US record labels too, off the top of my head I can think of Geomagnetic, Kagdila and Psybertribe - you can probably come up with more examples of American artists by looking at their back catalogues. Mr. Rogers is another example.
  12. Mubali, Androcell, Quasar spring to mind. I think Alien Mental is based in America though he's originally from India. And Goa Gil (other way round). There's also Billy and Per of course.
  13. As you can see, I've chosen to go with the classic "Raja Ram is old" joke. (I know it's crap and all, but can I have extra credit for having done it in MSPaint?)
  14. +1. I also like to read detailed reviews of albums I've ordered while I wait for them to arrive.
  15. @ Ormion & pifpafpof. Here's my attempt:
  16. Furious - Uncanny Beats I've tried and tried, but I just don't get why everybody seems to love this album.
  17. Whether you want 10 minutes more of the same.
  18. By listening to the four minute samples on Saikosounds. Or by going to artists' myspace pages where they frequently have complete tracks available for listening.
