  1. The Come to Daddy mini album and the Ventolin EP are the only things that really grabbed me by Aphex (in the case of the latter, the B-sides are way better than the A-side). Though I haven't heard 26 mixes for cash which people here evidently think is good.
  2. In the time since I wrote my earlier reply, the CD has become in stock at Saikosounds. Doubt you'll be able to get it this week though, unless you live near Hong Kong.
  3. I haven't heard it yet (my copy is in the mail) but this might be the kind of thing you're looking for.
  4. Suntrip website and Arabesque website both say 17th. Saikosounds says 15th.
  5. Why? If someone ripped me off I'd consider it a service to let others know about it.
  6. If you like the older-style darkpsy you should probably check out this (read my review here).
  7. Actually it's a sign of the fact that paintings are 2D representation of 3D objects. Same reason why everyone in the cinema wearing 3D glasses thinks the axe was heading right for their face.
  8. I would disagree And imo, that's exactly why he's comming back. Cos he's got all that rage trapped inside him and has to output it somewhere.. Hehehe.. IM watch out!! Actually, IIRC he originally closed the site with the words "We will return if the music ever gets really good again". So I'm expecting the first bunch of reviews to be fairly positive.
  9. I actually think the first two tracks off Tales of the Inexpressible are my favourite bit of Shpongle's work.
  10. Good news indeed. Seemed like he quit at a bad time, I think most would agree that the last year has been a good one for psytrance.
  11. I don't have The Isness - I went into a shop with the intention of buying it and ended up buying The Otherness by mistake. I actually really like it. I'd like to hear from someone who's heard both how the two albums compare.
  12. What's psychedelic is evidently pretty subjective. For example, I find high-BPM darkpsy like Kindzadza or The Nommos way more psychedelic than the likes of Shpongle or FSOL, but I know most people here would disagree.
  13. Looks to me more like Super Hans: "You should drop acid at the funeral… make it more intense, that’s what I did at me old man's, it was fucking mental. I was crying and laughing… didn’t know who was dead and who was alive."
  14. Not easy, but I think I'm going to have to go with FSOL. But that's probably largely because I associate them more with my formative years listening to electronic music.
  15. You're alive! Any chance of a psyreviews comeback sometime soon?
