  1. That's not great argumentative skills. That's great trolling skills. Yes. Haha, no.
  2. No he wouldn't. Feathers has the debating skills of a thirteen-year-old. Joseph Atwill is a crank. See, for example, here and here (both of those articles are written by atheists who don't believe that a historical Jesus existed, by the way). Acharya S, Kersey Graves and Gerald Massey are also cranks, in case you were wondering. Nope. But the willingness of people to uncritically spread the work of people like Atwill is pretty conclusive evidence that the religious don't have a monopoly on gullibility.
  3. Thanks. I'll probably watch it tomorrow.
  4. I dunno, it just has a certain je ne sais quoi. I'm sure my love of this album is partly due to when I heard it, but I don't think it's just that (there was a lot of electronic music I got into at the time but most of it hasn't managed to maintain such a special place in my heart). But I think you're doing it a disservice by comparing it to the likes of Solar Fields, Aes Dana or Asura (I'm not too familiar with the other two artists you mention); they make psybient, whereas Amber is much more of a "pure" ambient album. It's not something that can be enjoyed in a tent while sipping chai and discussing the military industrial complex with a man with dreadlocks, it's something that I listen to alone in the dark when I'm in just the right mood, and when I do so it messes with my head in a way that most other music can't. Also DAT COVER
  5. Huh, for some reason I thought you were Austrian. Did you live there or something or did I just make it up completely?
  6. Thanks for the video. Do you know where to find the one about the woman with the shoe? I'd like to see that if possible. I haven't actively researched it. What I said was based on stuff I've read in passing here and there (I doubt I could provide any references). Not in my case, since I do believe in life after death and would love to know of some convincing evidence that it exists. But they wouldn't have to work to explain people seeing light during NDE's, if something is happening in the visual cortex. For example a quick web search turned up this:
  7. Do you know of any evidence that the things those people describe are actually there? I heard people had tried placing images on top of tall objects in operating theatres and asking people who had had out-of-body experiences to identify what was on the pictures, and AIUI none of them did. That doesn't rule out the possibility that the bright light is caused by our visual cortex.

  9. ^ How about a game of "guess how long into the movie Sean Bean dies"? I'm going with 42 minutes.
  10. Please don't imagine that Radi's opinions are representative of Psynews as a whole.
  11. I don't own much neo Goa but of what I know I think my top 5 would go something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x-oLpMm98w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERXJyLJTM00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sacq0vR55OE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlK7y1hhM-A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyZ4dW2cxNg
  12. Maybe you should ask this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXO-jKksQkM
