  1. There's one in the OP of this thread.
  2. Have a recent, and very flattering, photo of me:
  3. There's PsyMusic UK, though it's more UK-centric than here. I gather that there are some foreign-language ones too (such as psychedelic.be) but I wouldn't know much about those.
  4. I'm a nerd and I do get colds. I'm on antibiotics for a chest infection, and they've given me a rash. It sucks.
  5. Here's the link: link In your post the track appears in a Flash player on my PC (but not on my iPod, since it doesn't have flash). The forum does that automatically for mp3 links. You can work around it like this: [url=http://website.com/mp3.mp3]put the name of your link here [/url] (except without the final space before the closing[/url] tag, which the forum puts there BECAUSE INVISION POWER SERVICES HATE THEIR CUSTOMERS.)
  6. Like this: [media]http://youtube.com/watch?v=CEVZeIOFcuU [/media] Note that you need to remove the "m." from before "youtube.com" in the URL for it to work.
  7. I just finished Second Philosophy: a Naturalistic Method by Penelope Maddy. It was quite good; the first half was an explanation of the author's version of naturalism and a defence of the same against various challenges by other philosophers, which I didn't find terribly convincing. The second half was an application of her methods to a couple of problems, which was much better. It included discussions of many interesting experiments about infant perception.
  8. I'm no connoisseur of fullon but it sounds pretty good to me. Reminds me of Braincell.
  9. Oh, then I misunderstood you're question. I have no idea about that, sorry. I've been lucky with money (I received some inheritance a few years back) so the cost of living isn't a problem for me, but I have had more difficulty finding a job than I anticipated. I like to think the economy has something to do with that, but it could just be that I'm useless and unemployable.
  10. AAUI, a strong dollar is good for Americans buying things abroad, but bad for American companies trying to export. It means that the amount of foreign currency you get in exchange for a dollar is high when compared to how much things cost in the two currencies.
  11. Thanks to RTP, the Deviant3 skin should now be working properly again. You can find it under the name "Deviant 3 (updated)" by clicking the "Change Theme" button.
  12. Please answer my questions so I can try to figure out why the forum is behaving differently for you.
  13. Check out the work of radi6404. [runs and hides]
  14. Yes, I know. You already said that. Please copy and paste one of the thread links you're getting so I can see what it looks like. You can get the link by holding the "What are you doing?" link for a second instead of tapping it, then when the menu pops up choosing "Copy". When you're in the "What are you doing?" topic, the address bar should contain the URL of the thread, possibly with a page number or post ID at the end of it; I just tried going there on my iPod and my address bar contains the URL http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/61212-what-are-you-doing-right-now/page-19&do=findComment&comment=1007259 Does your browser's address bar have something similar? If so then you can get to the last page by deleting everything after "right-now/" and replacing it with "page-19" or whatever page you wish to go to. If not, what does it have?
  15. Huh? That shouldn't make any difference. Whenever you tap the name of an individual thread, your iPhone will open the thread in question by going to its URL (or you can hold the thread name for a second and you'll be given a menu that includes an option to copy the URL). When you're reading the actual thread, its URL should be visible in Safari's address bar.
  16. ^ On my mobile device thread links automatically take me to the last page of a thread, unless there are unread posts on an earlier page. Please copy and paste one of the thread links you're getting so I can see what it looks like. Anyway, you can get to a specific page more quickly by manually appending "/page-<number>" to the end of the thread URL, e.g. http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/53032-site-questions-requests/page-34
  17. It's a good job that the program I wrote to count votes is actually a sentient AI who can understand English sentences and make informed decisions about how to assign scores when somebody gives the same rank to two albums. Because otherwise it would have stopped working after only two people had voted.
  18. It's time to vote for your favourite psytrance/psychill albums of 2012. So please vote for up to ten of your favourite releases in each of the following two categories: Best psy uptempo album Best psy downtempo album To vote, simply reply in this thread with ordered lists of your top 10's. When counting up the votes, your number one album will be given 10 points, your number two album will be given 9 points, and so on. The voting period will last until the 1st of March; until then you can edit your post as many times as you like, so there's no need to post a new reply if you change your mind - we won't start counting the votes until voting is closed. I'll be attempting to count votes automatically by copying and pasting all the text from the thread into a program I wrote. It would therefore help me immensely if you could write your votes in the following format: Uptempo 1: Artist name - Album name (label name if you can be bothered) 2: Artist name - Album name (label name if you can be bothered) etc. Downtempo 1: Artist name - Album name (label name if you can be bothered) 2: Artist name - Album name (label name if you can be bothered) etc. Because the program will only be dealing with plain text, formatting such as bold, italics, text colours, hyperlinks etc. won't make any difference, so knock yourself out. It also won't cause any problems if you can't think of 10 releases for each category; in that case just put as many in your list as you want (you can even list more than 10 in each category, but only the first 10 votes will be counted). Don't worry too much about spelling, the program should recognise a misspelled album or artist if it's close enough. Also, please refrain from quoting another poster's list in your replies - if your quote includes e.g. the word "Uptempo" followed by someone else's votes, my program will attempt to count those votes twice.

    Revolver (2005)

I liked Revolver too, never understood why it got so much hate from the critics.
  20. Yes, I know. Insulting people isn't arguing either. Arguing involves using actual arguments to advance one's position, which is much harder than stating opinions as if they were facts and making personal attacks on anyone whose opinions differ. So it's not surprising that you're not here to argue.
