  1. Well, Altar Records discography is filled to the brim with just that. My personal opinion is that it all sounds basically the same, but there are some gems in there. So take your pick
  2. Not exactly being a Filteria fan, I sure hope this will be the best thing Jannis has done. Still my favourite of his tracks by far:
  3. It sure took its time, but this reached 1000 plays today (or perhaps yesterday or so)
  4. So the fine people organizing this cozy gathering called Uunolan Ukotus decided to have a support party to raise funds for this year's event. And as usually, my sets at Uunola always seem to go in strange directions, and this one's no exception Tracklist: Björk - Overture (From "Dancer In The Dark") Karmarama - Ambientium Sephira feat. Mariposa - Call Of The MonKat Lowering Ipnose - Torturer MadHouse Electrypnose - Dramatic Orchestra Argaman - Walk On Your Way Monkey Puzzle - Dirty Sloth Supersillyus - A List Of Instructions For When I'm Human Ultimate Xperience - Radio-Activity (eXtinction 13) Perpetual Loop - Too Long At The Sun
  5. Not really sure if it's too far away, but there's Dance Of Shiva. Quite a bunch of suomisaundi artists in there too
  6. I see what you did there (and no, I didn't listen to the preview, I'll listen to this in full when it's out)
  7. Ha! Found the track I was looking for now that the thread has been resurrected: Starts @ 2:05 For those who can't bother to scroll up, same here @ 0:18
  8. First I was all "meh", but then: Well, now I'm at least a bit interested. FG is okay-ish and The PGC is nice
  9. OK, now seriously. What the fuck did I just read?
  10. The City Of Moons took a well deserved #1. The downtempo section is a sad affair indeed, barely any votes this year, oh well.
  11. It seems that what people are getting at here is that the sounds weren't originally sampled by you. I don't think anyone's accusing you of illegalities*, or denying the amount of work you put into processing the sounds to fit your own productions. The original source of the samples is just left a bit unclear. * edit: as long as the EULA of the original samples doesn't explicitly forbid redistribution and/or reprocessing.
  12. Your guess is surprisingly correct Thanks
  13. Somewhere towards the end of the set, one of the organizers came up to me and said something along the lines of "man, there's some freaky shit going on on the dancefloor, keep it up"
  14. Here's my set from last weekend's party in Jyväskylä, Finland. I was asked to play something a bit darker/edgier, which actually goes quite well with my current mood. Maybe I overstepped the "a bit" part of the request, take a listen and decide for yourself :DD Tracklist: Proxeeus - Fhtagn No More Javi - The Forest Masters Aerosis - Zen Hyperbabble Shakta - Of The Essence Xenomorph - Tzelmavet Kadasarva - Trylon And Perisphere Koxbox - No More Ghosts Slide - Waking Up To Chaos Hallucinogen - Trancespotter MFG - Voices Morphic Resonance - In The Mouth Of Madness The Delta - Thing
  15. Well this certainly was unexpected (or then I'm just too detached from all the social media hubbub these days). Here's to hoping for a pleasant surprise
  16. Seriously being serious in a nhjo topic for once; the best fullon track ever made:
  17. Assuming you invent a time machine first
  18. Has anyone else noticed the striking similarity between the main melodies in Circles and Lepton Head?
  19. Is it just me or do most recent Ultimae releases sound pretty much the same? Feels like it's the same clicky IDM downtempo over and over again. A bit like the majority of Altar records releases that's the same slowed down clinical kbbb prog over and over again no matter what artist you're listening to.
  20. ME and ME2 are in my Steam library, but somehow I haven't had the motivation to actually start playing them yet (got them in some Steam sale for 5€ or so).
  21. Looks like I have the original (unprocessed) samples as part of a huge drum samples package I downloaded some years ago (at least those Roland machines match with the sample folders I have) Maybe I'll get some use of these, probably not...because inspiration: zero :DD
