  1. This actually came up again when I was browsing for tracks for an upcoming set... There are tracks that are either misnamed or misspelled (lots of them I reckon), but a few that have been puzzling me for some time. Feel free to add your own too So which ones are correct? Psychaos - Soundbeams / Sound Beams Voodoo People - Quadstep / Quadsep Mindfield - Superstion (is this supposed to be "Superstition"?) Cosmosis - Sanyacid / San Yacid (actually, this was confirmed some time ago in a Facebook PM to Billy Cosmosis, Sanyacid is correct, just FYI) Erm, there were a few others but I can't for the life of me remember them right now.
  2. No. I don't have the California Sunshine track on any of my CDs. That's why this puzzles me. Or then my memory is just a bit wonky (not impossible at all).
  3. No. And I can't remember that anyone I know would have (had) it either.
  4. Ha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ACFjuF9r4E The weird thing is, I don't have this album, and I can't say for sure I'd remember having ever heard this track either...
  5. I swear I've heard that melody right at the beginning in some other track too (or then not). It just sounds so familiar.

  7. Well, at least there's Nebula Meltdown I'm going, my first Boom ever.
  8. The party was on January 31st, when we finally got some proper snowfall over here. Now it's back to +5 again, this "winter" has been a joke :/
  9. Not downloadable directly from Mixcloud (they don't do that).
  10. Yeah, it's not exactly bad, but could have been a bit better here and there. Well, at least I learned a few things, again (which is never a bad thing at all)
  11. My first gig of the year, and my first recorded mix of the year. The gig went well, but this mix I re-recorded at home isn't exactly one I'm particularly satisfied with. Some weird track changes and a few tracks are either too quiet or too loud. This is actually the second recording of this set, as I fucked up the first recording quite royally and I don't really feel like going for a third round. Anyway, take it with its flaws and all (I'm not a robot you know) . OK so mostly it flows quite well, but...ah whatever, take a listen and stop listening to the perfectionist in me whining Tracklist: Trinodia - Astral Clouds Shakta - Of The Essence Pleiadians - Modulation Slinky Nuns - Caught In The Zipper X-Dream - Freak 100th Monkey - Spiritus (Unreleased Mix) Hallucinogen - Gamma Goblins Part 2 Merr0w - Aquarius Liquid Flow - Land Of Time Laughing Skull - Alek Wonderland
  12. Add to that at least Alan Watts and Tim Leary But I seriously LOLed at that entire post, bravo!
  13. This. Festivals are somewhat special cases, and mostly the answer is "no" concerning them also. And concerning alcohol, that's been in a steady decline in recent years. I drink a few every now and then, depends on the occasion.
  14. Well I just put them into Reaper, aligned them to be sample exactly in sync, and phase flipped one track. There is at least one additional synth on the Resonance Mix Compare for example @ 1:20. And some subtle extra FX on the percussion @ 5:22. The song structure is the same, that's why they look deceptively the same.
  15. Aren't there some additional synth lines (and perhaps something else that at the moment escapes my mind) on the Resonance Mix?
  16. Psychedelic? Well, sure. Interesting? Not so much.
  17. And Amygdala! How could I forget that. Spooky and dirty (but perhaps some nitpickers would say it's not entirely goa, but I don't care, he kicks some serious ass).
  18. Sandrine Gryson aka Mahiane (Subgardens, some Aes Dana tracks)
  19. Well, out of pure interest, I just happened to download Nano Records' newest compilation UK Psychedelic the other day, and...well let's say there are artists on it that I respect (Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Dick Trevor) but really, I find this type of psy rather unappealing to me. No melodies, lots of noises, and the same recycled tricks we've heard a million times before. Not implying that for example goa these days wouldn't rely on tricks we've heard a million times before But as said, the lack of melodies is mainly what puts me off.
