Tracklist for DJ sets should be mandatory....
Paul Eye replied to trancedigital's topic in General Psytrance
If someone comes and asks me after/during my set what that one track was that I played, of course I'll give an honest answer. Maybe my philosophy leans a bit towards "if you're interested, you'll find out". -

Paul Eye replied to trancedigital's topic in General Psytrance
I don't reveal my tracklists on Soundcloud (my downtempo mixes) for the simple reason that I find that looking at a tracklist you can more easily opt not to listen if there's for example too many (to the listener) unknown artists, or if there's too much of artists you'd rather not hear. The good thing about Soundcloud of course is that you can always PM me for track details. People have done that and I always reply. -
Honest opinion after a first listen: some hits, some misses, and there's something weird about track 7 (Katedra - Eidos), the dynamics sound completely fucked up or something...

cd playback problems most often on the very last track?
Paul Eye replied to trancenonZENsedance's topic in General Psytrance
Yes, I've noticed this when ripping CDs. Most of the cases where a track gets read errors in EAC it happens on the last track, be it brand new releases or CDs from 15+ years back. I have no idea what causes this though... -
Got the new album a few days ago. Yeah, it sounds nice and all but I can't get rid of the feeling that all the tracks are more like short sketches based around one idea, or then just some random synth tinkering that's going nowhere. Maybe it's that we as psychill/goa/psytrance listeners are used to longer tracks, usually with a myriad of things going on.

Zion 604 | VA - Phoenix ( 2013 ) Pre - Sale
Paul Eye replied to ZIon604's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I got that too. Just rip it in one of the non-secure modes (assuming you use EAC). I did that and can hear no glitches in the audio. -
Tomb raider soundtrack has the goa trance melody ?
Paul Eye replied to darkill's topic in General Psytrance
Yeah I also noticed it back in the days The skidoo chase music in TR2 was perhaps the first one I noticed to have some similarities with goa/psy (I still have the game). The Last Revelation IIRC was full of interesting melodies (although the game itself was straight out irritating at various points...). Also, TR Legend has some rather well known vocals in the Himalaya levels Edit: all in all, the TR games have always had gorgeous music <3 -
Well I guess I'll just have to go around asking every person matching that description if it's you

Well, come say hi if you see a guy who looks like my avatar pic And I'm kinda interested in seeing how they execute Ovnimoon's "message through space" as I've heard that he has a fear of flying and thus can't personally be present.

Well, unfortunately you seem to have stumbled upon what modern psy trance parties are like. A monotonous combination of a kick, a bassline and some random noises and/or percussion which is not really psychedelic at all, as you've noticed. Here's a slightly tongue-in-cheek, but still rather truthful view on the whole thing: http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/a-big-night-out-ata-psy-trance-party

Mine arrived yesterday. Haven't had time to listen yet, will soon. -
Psy-H Project: goa trance with darkpsy basslines, or darkpsy with goa melodies? I can't decide Good nevertheless.

I never really liked either of those albums. Well, Release Me is still a good track for letting off some steam (it's like the definition of ripping screaming in-your-face synth leads, and kickdrums, and heavy metal guitars), and Return Of The Shadows is good too, and Mush Mushi to some extent. The rest is a bit too messy and all over the place and there are some things I can't really explain about those 2 albums that simply annoy me. I'm selling those albums on Discogs, anyone wanna buy them ;D

Finally some artist that sounds like Astral Projection

Umm yeah, kinda. Since I didn't realize that there actually are two rather different versions of this track (until just a few days ago...) Fixed now.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my desktop, just because I happen to be used to Windows, and I still want to play games (try doing that on Linux). Also, no Linux versions of the audio and DJing software I use. Windows XP SP3 on my DJing laptop.

Weird. Usually Italian post sucks big time. Last time I bought something via Discogs from an Italian guy the REGISTERED package spent over a week in some local post office before even leaving to be shipped out of the country... I WANT MY CROP CIRCLES NOW- 102 replies

Well known tracks for one person can be completely unknown to someone else. In my round 3 I was surprised to see that people didn't recognize some tracks I though were dead easy. Go figure.
