1. Slug Bending Space 2. Lion Breathing Fire 3. Flying Monkeys 4. Frog Pond 5. Purple Aura (Remix) Tyler Smiths alter ego Androcell returns with a little 5-tracker. 4 new offerings and a remix of one of his earlier tunes. The output here is slightly different compared to usual Androcell. Of course he brings the dubby chillout atmo. But a lil more twist, more bass and glitch. Creatures as such is entertaining, a breath of spliffy grooves, organic fauna feeling and diverse bass drivery. You won't find too much sameness through the tracks – but also no candidates for the sexiest tune 2016. A solid release with no surprises... Link

this. and to the people of the flow i also count the trancedancers. i'm frequently amazed and like to watch their style i for myself am no aerobical sportsman, more the drinknchatntripsome guy, only occasionally i fall in trance and manage to hang loose for a longer dance. last time is a few years, a small dancefloor, almost alone and Silicon Sound - that was ROCKET!

a lot to love inside the Freaks' Forest very consistent in its flow of mossy-atmospheric-wooden-trance i especially like the whole Schizoid Bears EP - melodious with groove and wacky moments you might also find likeables from the Rising Sun Crew - i totally dig vol.1 ...and check out Manuser's reco

so many great tracks here! thanks for compiling so far beware, long intro into this one

yesss, i like this also sooooo much. this is robotic metallic atmospheric futuristic star-wars-sci-fi trance with themes and twists. i don't care how their previous output sounded, this is a strong release with lots of ideas in typical eat-static-manner. one word about the utter shite: In All Worlds is The Best Psypop hymn that psynews (and me) has seen the last years, trust me. this is a melodramedy around the schizophrenic culture of ourselves. surrounded by brooming slow beats and a madmaxian soundscenery Smith's voice creates a image of a tortured soul on Dead Planet. this is AWESOMEEEE. my favourite track of the year from all genres!!!

very nice one this. interesting combination of sound patterns to create groove and atmosphere. dubby, organic, mystic. the last minute i don't like. the shift into sth clubby is waste imo 7/10 next:

atm we're at 4 reviews in a month or so. not bad, i would say. and if IronSun and Shpongly247 follow it looks good... the other side: i see hard future for this game and the mission to bring more diverse music discussion to life. so i decided to tell u the whole plan.. a quick look through the review sections showed that there's a decline in reviews. through the years we fell from more than 300 to a 140 reviews in 2015 up to 20 reviews this year. quite frustrating if you ask me. not to mention that there are several styles which are simply underrepresented. hence, the game: let's start 2015. there are lots of personal favourites mentioned through the threads, but in the review section you hardly find sth written about the so-called classics or favourite releases of the year (except goatrance ofc). 2015 is still fresh, lots of relevant releases and we know that a lot of u listened to sth in the list (btw we used to be friendly here so u can suggest whatever u want to review). round 1 of the game: the list of reviews to choose from tries to cover relevant missing psy/prog/forest/hiteck/dark/bright/other-than-goa - trance release from 2015 round 2: the best-rated or most-dls releases from ektoplazm's 2015 in relevant genres round 3: ambient/downtempo/breaks/suomi whatever from 2015 round 4: let's get 2016 started.... and as a reminder, nothing from the lists in all rounds has to be bought. it's either free or streamable from known sources at the end of the year, the one who has written the most of the reviews within this game may choose a random title from a known music distributor and i will send him/her his release for christmas. word! allright? oh,... and i heard the suntrip guys will also send sth to the winner... maybe someday labels and artists come back to realise that sending free promos to known reviewers might bring more cash anyhow, let's go on with the mission. this goes out especially to all you young people, take advantage of serious listening experience, of structuring your thoughts and feelings into written communication, practice creative writing, ur english skills. don't let the grumpy oldies and everything-above-150bpm-is-shit-haters disattract you. take part and help to expand the musical background of this site (the only relevant psymusic-related discussion forum in the net it seems). this means work i know, but think a minute that the best interaction between beings surround taking and giving. hence, take part, and give critic. ...for those interested, i finished my first job here. my next pick is Aegolius' Moments of Wonder. i hope that the music can compete with the cover...

-
dear fellow reviewers, time is approaching us, review threads are open... Abasio and Jaza, thanks for your participation, u don't care to follow the game? the 2015 section still is sparse, so there will be at least two more rounds. btw, did i mention that there will be a prize for the one with the most reviews within this game?

1. Total Eclipse - Supernova 2. Colin OOOD, Outer World Elements - Train Of Thought 3. Pleiadians - Pleione (Morning Mix) 4. Mumbo Jumbo - Holographic Demons (Cosmosis Remix) 5. Arkanoydz - Lothlorien 6. Chromosome - Spirit Molecule (Vimana Remix) 7. Alien Project - One Good (Stryker Remix) 8. Saikopod - Pling Pong (2016 Redeaux) 9. Shakta - Lepton Head (Astro-D Remix) 10. Saafi Brothers - Dub Six Version spiral trax was one of the pioneering labels that brought big acts to the surface – vibrasphere, human blue, atmos, noma, s>range – their history dates back to the glorious 1997. only a few years later i came in touch with them and till now spiral trax owns quite a few of my favourite classics. after times of silence and lowprofiling the label reappeared somehow out of the overcrowded musicmarket not so long ago and says hello again – this time with the galactic trance legends. i think the internationalism compilation series doesn't belong to the strongest outputs, but a look at the tracklist let us expect some nicely-finely-hero-party. let's start with the obvious: one of the strongest tracks here deliver oood and partners. this train moves almost constantly, pushing beat and melody. pleiadians pleione mix is a endless generic trance hymn. on the other side, this is surely great to listen to loud with a ibiza beachparty crowd, sundowning after exhausting tourist-travel-trips. cosmosis brings some psychedelic twist into the room. i like how the track pops around some psy tricks. spiral passages and tonal excursions bring groove and atmosphere into the mumbojumbo. surprises: saikopods redeaux falls a lil bit out of place here but it is a charming stomper. playful, tribalistic, and nonserious. how different to the older version? i don't know, but this funky thing surprised me. and yeah lepton head. astro-d works out the original main theme into a pleasing fullon child. too big is danger to completely ruin a true classic but genre is genre, folks. the rest of the fest is peaceful energytrance: the total eclipse starts smooth into the genre's territory. arkanoydz need a mystic chant intro to get into the track. it is oldfashioned, living from the mystic setting and typical cardriving. vimana's version of spirit molecule is less emotional, less melodic, less cake. it's a reduced version, focusing on strong groove and expected breakdowns, it's less overbording and nice, but be honest, it's middle-fodder. stryker's tribal undertone gives a nice listening experience, although there's really no exceptional specialness. saafi brothers can't make a bad tune, at least not for me. this dubby downtempo ender chills you down, back to beach. nothing spectacular but down-to-earth and humble. lovers of the galactic melodytrance will appreciate this for sure, the veterans show some skills and pills and so. a bit on the surface but never falling into cheesehill-craters. nothing here strikes as hard as only future classics might strike – but for sure this is great on dancefloors not only in ibiza. to me, i can enjoy most of these tunes when i need some lighterbrighterfluff, as a critic i find this only okay. i'm really really curious if spiral trax will come back to its earlier strength, releasing classics and strong debuts, i would love to see some atmos-noma-vibraspheres back in the ring. good luck spiral trax, honest wishes to u people of the label. please don't mind that my expectations are strangely not too high anymore...

Dead planet deserves a review. I wrote one few weeks ago and somehow the system couldn't save my post. It was lost. Abasio, it's still missing in the 2015 section, i'll be pleased if u could write a review, i love it and it is my favourite from last year. But also it isn't a easy task, cause there's so much going on in the music. I added eat static, Abasio, nice to see u back reviewing

lets say june 10. d'accord?

here you go, list edited

what a great review it is Jaza, your descriptions made me feel like i already heard the album the Juno Reactor Collabo is indeed very nice and although the offbeat-show is reaaallllllly thumbsdown in the beginning, the later track progression and overall atmosphere is completely upmyalley the track with Astrix is unbelievably boring, the one with Loud left me totally untouched, and the rest.... hmmm maybe i listen to them another day....
-
we keep the spots for u Rotwang i guess in this forum absolutely nobody likes to write sth for the hitech stuff, right? sadly sadly gone.... we can change some titles of course, if u like to write but u don't like the titles letme know only important thing: we have to manage ten reviews boysngirls, otherwise we can't enter round 2. shame would fall. and nobody wins the prize... btw, Hey Jaza: thanx for the review! u care to further help us on our mission? it doesn't have to be PsykovskyOsomStuff, can also be Gaudium, Sonic Entity, U-Recken, Talamasca, Eat Static, Pulsar...........
