i posted a certain track from midi miliz! if this track sounds to you like just bass and kick, then i conclude that there is lots of variation (between listeners), even in the objective perception of musical composition!

sounds like this: excuse me guys, don't won't to insult, not to create any controversies. i can't appreciate this music. psy music is about layers and textures and atmospheres. this thing is just bass, kick and modulated noise. i hate words...let the music speak, of what i call dark psychedelic music...

+1000 to radi!!!!! music is an expression. whether you follow some widespread formulas, in a track must be added the producer's own touch. and this touch has to do with what the producer is feeling, with his tamperament, with his interpretation of the mental musical landscape. and all of the above, definitely are connected with the culture, the environment, the education, the flowing mentality. this link can't be measured, can't be strictly defined, but certainly exists!!! it is clear in the extremes: listen to battle of future buddha, it is raw, twisted, quite dark. listen to jaia or bpc, it is more smiley, sunny and beachy

thing is quite simple for me (a few other things also make a difference, but let's skip long posts) : personally, in the 80percent of psy/goa tracks that i really like, there is a memorable melody! neo goa has shrinked this percentage to a total of 5-10percent. change that, and i'll be a hardcore listener!!!
