Impossible to name one track because they've made so many excellent ones, like: Panic In Paradise Electromagnetic Psychomachine Fall Out (Dong Edit) Thorazin Universal Chaos And of course of their sideprojects The Delta has many fantastic tracks, the best of which undoubtedly is Standby. Simply a perfect piece of tech trance.

When trying to promote psy trance over there, you have to remember that everywhere where psy trance is established it's a small minority's music (except perhaps in Israel, but they have their nitzhonot (sp?), pop psy and what not). While that might sound depressing, it's a fact. (And even as psy trance has gained popularity in wider circles, it's come at the cost of quality.) So you can't expect to find many people who are going to like it. -
Not necessarily TB-303, but acid anyway: Technossomy - Androids Great playful synthlines.

Thanks for the info. Sad news about their label. Did Battle of the Future Buddhas croak too? I didn't quite like their albums but the Psysurfeur live video from their gig was awesome. BTW there's a 2007 track called 3in1 Nightmerge at his Myspace website which you can download (128 kbps mp3). He seems to be in top form. If the album is like that, I want to have it. But not more twisted please. -
Sound Field - Audio Surfin' Reefer Decree - Point of You Behind Blue Eyes - Behind Blue Eyes Also eagerly expecting the forthcoming Gaudium album. They fortunately seem to have been able to resist the temptation to jump on the electro fad bandwagon.

Most celestial Goa, Psy (or any genre) song ever

Power Source's Granada is possibly the most blissful goa track ever. The harmonies, the voices... aah! -

Moog - Euromotors (What were they thinking when they named it Euromotors?) Power Source - Granada - Gives me goosebumps every time. -
Ah yes! I would indeed like that album! No plans to re-release it Oh crap! I mailed Vincent a few weeks ago and asked if they could re-release it on CD (I don't want those VBR mp3s!), but didn't get a reply.

Astral Projection - Open Society And I'm liking it a bit except for the 9/11 vocal samples. -
There are many very high quality VSTi's (and VST effects to treat them with) out there. It's the people who use them that make those grey generic one dimensional sounds & tracks.

New Astral Projection album set for 2007... (!)
jivamukti replied to Jon Cocco's topic in General Psytrance
I don't have high hopes for their new album. Open Society sounds OK, but OK isn't enough from them. -
+1 The fucker.

What do you want in a special booklet edition of a cd?
jivamukti replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
We had a house party in 1997 where the DJ (well, he wasn't a real DJ) played a couple of goa tunes alongside disco and hardhouse. I feel you should write about that. It was a wicked party. Really. -
You misunderstood me. I didn't mean to attack you and I'm part of any conspiracy to snuff your label. I merely said what I (and many others) think is the truth: you're not going to survive on donations. I didn't mean donations are bad. Why are you so aggressive? Are you perhaps putting a bit too big expectations in your label and your musical career? It has already raised 4 pages' worth of interest. I think it as linked to your label's "survival" as you yourself put it is a topic worth discussing. And by that I don't mean personal insults or flamewars. Yes we are free to discuss it and yes you are free to run your label as you want. Yet now you have chosen to change your label based on this very topic. You two should also think a bit about how you behave in public. You aren't ordinary forum members but producers and label persons, and so you are expected to behave in a more civilized manner than the average poster. I'm not lecturing on you; it's the truth.
-
I didn't say it's wrong to ask for donations. I said you're not going to survive on donations alone. Furthermore I don't belong to any conspiracy that's supposedly out to get you, nor am I trying to do that alone.

Sound Field - Audio Surfin' Sun Control Species - Scienza Nuova Didn't have to hear them many times to decide that they are keepers. Topnotch trance that renewed my faith in the genre's vitality.

As a producer you might want to think a bit more about how you post on public fora and what kind of impression that gives to people. It's in your best interest that people don't think you are a jerk. And you're not going to make a living out of donations, not even album sales. Even with gigs it would be difficult.
