  5. well, i found getting from intro to mainparts always very easy some examples: whatever fading in pads kick/fade in beat kicks/fades in bassline kicks/fades in tempo changes cutoff modulation filter modulation harmonic thingies reverse drumsample.... ---> something of the above dunno, no sleep yet for me, thats all i can think of so far..
  6. sorry i mistook you for someone else then id say try albeton live. cubase is really complex, the manual is like 1000 pages or something you can rewire reason with ableton
  7. start with fruity. its a great program to start with. i recommend it to everyone who wants to start producing electronic music. ableton live doesnt have a step sequencer. you will go nuts without one. use fruity til you think you have understood the basics of producing. then switch to ableton live good luck.
  8. if i had to decide on it, i think id be a golden retriever or a labrador puppy
  9. lolo, no relation to the cougar im a puppy with lotsa noize

  11. well, thats the standart trance gate. if youre using any synths like vanguard, it features an onboard gate. if not you´ll need to download a gate effect. check out neon gate vst, Download you could of course aswell just automate the volume... hope that helps.
  12. thx postunder i unearthed a vst called the modulater. this thing consists of three sections, one audio input, one lfo and a sample player. each of the sections can be used as carrier or modulator, it offers ringmod and AM/FM. it let me do my thing, so the results were not that amazing. but im gonna experiment more today. the fm 7 only lets me input one audio source, is that right? so i´ll have to use its own oscs as modulator?
  13. why not? 1500 BPM Breakcore FullOn
  14. Ableton Live ok one word: workflow ive worked with cubase and fruity before i switched to live. in live, you write new leads while beat, pads bassline are playing, record automation/vocals while you playback the whole track, everything can be moved/altered while you hear the track or just a looped scene. you can record a whole track live as an arrangement, everything triggered/played live becomes your arrangement. like you have a garageband. and you can hear it in the track. this is actually music making. then later you draw/change automation in arrangement view fit mixing levels etc. or you can start your track in arrangement, like on normal sequencers. i cant say much more to compare it to other hosts as im woking for a year now with live only. the sound is decent for sure.
  15. tell your mums, charles, that i will be visiting next week.

  16. here are two things i heard that sound pretty cool, actually sounds very cool, would like to hear the results. is this possible to do with any of the better vst filters (filterscape, fabfilter volcano etc..) ? or do i need to buy a sherman filterbank to try that? im pretty much a filer noob, so thx in advance for any help
  17. if you want to start producing music seriously, you need to buy a decent soundcard. indeed you´ll have problems connecting you desktop speakers, but maybe you have a stereo you could connect? anyway, for the first tries in production you can use rubbish speakers or headphones, its not important what sound comes out, but you need to understand/learn how production works, you know?
  18. Someone told me you've broken up with your uncle, reger. Is this true? What are you doing for sex now?

  19. spdif is a digital output, coaxial or optical. (depends on soundcard, some have both) to your question, it depends what you want to do with that soundcard. i assume you have desktop speakers with 3.5mm jack connector? with such you wont come far in producing... but you can use them as long as you want to, your headphones, too, you just need an adaptor. (3.5mm to 6.3mm). what do you plan to do with your soundcard?
