nah, the notes as melody are protected

both illegal i think. using voice samples from movies, im sure, it is illegal. and melodies are protected by copyright, for hundred years after the artists death. (i think)

now my beats have improved and i have a good piano lead, suits nice. also violine works good, both with synths. but i guess for trip hop its best to work with samples, just sample every little noise that might suit your track. only with synths you will have a hard time. for pads they work good, but the little extra thingie for that trip feeling are the samples. hmm, i have very little experience with sampling, always used synths, so its time for something new i could need a good vowel synth aswell, for a little vowel like pad or something, which one you use? which is good?

even with eq you can have the same prob, if the freqs of background and speech are too near together. but you can try if they overlay themselves you have no chance

unfortunately most of the time the freqs such tools cut out are also part of the voice just my experience you can google for your problem, there also are tutorials for wavelab and sound forge involving some mirror technique, but i forgot how that worked.. it will take long time, prepare yourself

you will need to search and eq it out. open the file in a prog like wavelab or soundforge. look for the frequencies that disturb with a parametric eq and eq it out. there are also other techniques announced to work like magic, but infact this is the only way i know that works. good luck
