but on juli@ the 3/4 output is also digital. but it has toslink, and you only need a minidisk with monitoring for 10€ and a toslink cable. to buy an DAC would be too expensive. you understand me right? it will take its time until everything works for cue, but lot easier than with audiophile. otherwise go for an card with enough analog outputs. so the card is pretty much the same league like audiophile, but it is number one.
-
no, i dont think maya is better. it has Microphone Preamp with + 48V Phantom Power, 1 HeadphoneOut. but no midi in/out, it is optional to buy. hmm, probaply you can use the headphoneout as ch 3/4? thats what you need to find out. i dont know, you better ask your dealer or esi. its also nice, but for my purpose, juli@ is much better. without midi interface? and juli is only a few bucks more
-
this card you can also turn around, on one side are unbalanced and on the other balanced analog output. the white cables are midi and koaxial, but it has also an optical output. every common output this card has, and of course 24bit/192kHz . where you live? im sure theres a shop that ships to you
-
on 2469 and 192 you have 4 channels, 1/2 and 3/4, but the 3/4 is digital output, and if you want to use for cue you need a digital analog converter DAC, i have the same here, im using an old minidiskdeck i bought from ebay for 10 euro. but i can be difficult to setup because i dont see a toslink output on those cards. i suggest you to buy this card, not expensive at all. take a look http://www.thomann.de/thoiw2_esi_juliat_prodinfo.html or you have to find a card with enough analog output channels
-
it doesnt have enough outputs, only different connectors. in your sequencer you will see its always ch 1/2, but you also need a 3/4. but those cards are not made for that, its no surprise. which chip you have there onboard?
-
usually that doesnt work, cause of drivers..dunno, you surprise me. i have a card with enough outputs, for cue and master and... thats what you need. teh onboard ac97 suxx you wont achieve proper latancy with it, but its not made for that so... better buy that m-audio and use the digital output for cue, you will need a dac of course. anyway good to hear your pc works.

it might be the one you expect the less

you can also use any other compressors and eq and stuff, waves just sounds the best. and i forgot to say, that you will need to route both the bass and the kick to one channel with a comp with very low attack and release, (if waves is with you, use l2 ultramaximizer and rcomp), the rest you better tweak yourself, but then it sounds pretty nice
-
sorry to hear that, hope it will all work then. its murphys law, you know

at least one is laughing, it was a good one, wasnt it? i suggest you go to http://www.kvraudio.com/bank.php, there you can download banks/patches for many synth, then search for one bass patch that comes close, and look at the synth. how is the sound beeing created. but most important is to understand how a synth works, to achieve a killargh sound you need to tweak the knobs yourself. i think the links provide useful info, just take a read. also take a look here, this thread is not about bass, but watch out for the posts stalker wrote about vanguard, it is also about synths in general, then you can take your synth and play with it. vanguard is also capable of good bass... i know you want quick results but, just take your time -

lol no, but we had lots of thread about bassline here, you might want to use the forum search, im sure you find usefull info. or check out here http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...=0entry599350 why you want to use z3ta? aint it a bit confusing for the beginning, better start with a synth more simple. try vb-1 which sequencer you using? -

oh man, its always the same, if you buy new parts for your pc then the old ones want to quit duty. murphys law. anyway it sounds like The bearing on the drive is worn out enough that the motor no longer has enough torque to overcome the coefficient of static friction. what model is it? you can ask support. if you still have warranty, better send to repair. try to clean first, few days ago my power supply only produced noises and no power, i opened and found a broken screw insinde now it works. and you could try to lube the motor parts after cleaning. now the design of drives has changed, years ago the design had the bearings exposed and you could jam a ballpoint pen into the bearings and give it a nudge. The motor would take over and get the drive up to speed. theres not much you can do i think hope it will resurrect somehow the repair dude is waiting for your visit

first of all, it is not important which synth you use but the knowledge of the synth you have. synths you should try are muon tau pro and vb-1, cause they are very easy but sound good. just go with help of manual or some tutorial through every knob on the synth and learn what it is doing. what i use to achieve a decent bass is: first i use waves rbass at around 60 to 80 hertz (try out) i boost. then i use waves rvox, gate to inf and comp around 15 to 30 (try out) then comes my kjaerhus audio classic master limiter (get yourself those plugins, its free!), treshold around 6. then my classic compressor with a usual bass compression. http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php here is about compression: http://www.thewhippinpost.co.uk/mixing-mus...udio-mixing.htm then i eq it, i cut the highs and very low freqs and leave a little space for the mids too.

you want me to teach you how to become a Pirat? -
alright then forget phaser/flanger, the rest will do it. play a bit around til it fits there is also some prog calles voiceFX its freeware i think, it has such already as presets. you could look for it, this way its easier but better would be to make it on your own, of course
-
i dont know what you understand as demonic. any example? but try to add of course a reverb, and a delay if you like, i think some long delay. then you could add a filterbank, but also phaser and flanger would work. also eq it til it fits, cut high frequences i would say and boost lower. then compress. hope that helps
