you can just see the difference in the way people are dancing in psy or idm parties.. (broad categories, i know) i ve found it difficult to keep up with the hardcore dancers in the idm parties i ve been to... (ok, i dont do drugs often, nearly at all-especially not at parties!) but still i got no problem keeping the pace in psy parties... hmmm i dont know what my point is really.. maybe its that its a matter of the crowd being used to a certain dancing pattern.. or even a ''tradition thing''. if you got into the scene listening to 4/4 tunes all the time and you become a dj you most likely will play 4/4. and i ve seen cases where the dj tried to play a break tune and the people where shouting: Malaka! ! play some trance ! ! because they re totally musically uneducated !

hehe gnome you re friends with nikos?? anyway there is no more devic craft... just like gnome said the main person behind it is into other stuff as well. the result is the new label ''creative space'', under which there have been some releases (more to come..) notably C.S. released the new rip van hippy album, a collaboration with japanese artist eiji. it s called rip N eiji - tengu moon other stuff are somewhat out of the trance genre but still worth a listen.. like metropol - geometrias de silencio -very nice ambientish idm with dirty industrial influences... or the new: nam shub of enki meets kiki. ill - in the valley of mood. this nam shub guy is twisted as hell!! breaks that kill... anyway, the new label is not going to release something like scozbor (track 2!! i never understood why it never got ''big''). of course noone knows what the future holds.. when the new website is up and running i ll post the link in the forum...

i agree that the magic with goatrance is gone... at least partly any new old school i hear just has a nice beat (not too difficult for someone with a bit of experience eh?) and many melodies/303s . BUT not a story to tell... no originality IMO personally i dont dig hearing such music. its like most full on for me - i can hear it on the background for half an hour and then turn it off. not the music i ll hear as loud as possible and try not to dance in my room but sit down. and its not i ve lost interest in goa or anything. i listen to etnica for example quite often and always dig it - perhaps more and more after 1000000 listening sessions. nothing wrong with supporting a good effort though.. originality will come at some point again i think! thank you for the nice vibes dexter! i dont believe theres any reason to get angry and swear -in general (although we re not gods-cant control it every time we get pissed off)
