@Padmapani's post - Very well put. I kinda intended to say the same but I strayed and completely missed the point. Lack of sleep! Which reminds me , For peak performance of your body , along with good food , good sleep and exercises are a must. They all complement each other.

I am from South! (Karnataka) North Indian food is a little heavy on hmm everything ha ha, they go big on ghee, curry, paneer, meat and potato.. @only north Indian food - That's bad. Good south Indian is faar more tastier and healthier. I love Dosa's too. My favourite breakfast! Especially Light Crispy crunchy ones'. So did you make them.? How were they? If you are into cooking , I can definitely share some Dosa recipes, my mum is a master dosa maker! Trust me when I say this. I have had dosa at thousand different places but the crispy paper dosa's she makes beats the crap out of everything else. Not saying as she is my mum, seriously! Sadly she her idli sambar is not the best :/ its my 2nd favourite breakfast. I think she makes around 10 different dosa's and are like very very easy and instant. Worth trying. I have had my fair share of "instant dosa mix' when I used to live in bangalore. Add curd and off you go ha ha. They are not bad but not the best. Also, there is a similar thing from Ethiopia. They have their own "wonder cereal" which is fermented and then made into dosa like stuff. Cant recall the name. Seen it on - Tales From Bush Lader by Kiran Jethwa (very nice show! check out if you are a foodie, there's also a cultural angle to it)

"Some days I'm completely prepared. But there's other days when I'm like, oh my God, I can't bear the thought of it." But whenever and wherever it happens, he'll be with her. It's part of the job of being best buds with a dog. This is exactly what I'm going through right now. A month ago I took her to my cousins farm and my god the old girl who used to have trouble walking just for her loo, wouldn't stop running around. For a good hour or two she ran the entire length and breadth of the farm. She would just disappear into the horizon and return someplace else. She slept like a baby for a couple of days after that trip

@Padmapani - I'll try to answer in brief From what I can recall , Islam was introduced in India around 6-7 century A.D by arab merchants who settled down on the west coast (first mosque is in kerala - cheraman Juma Masjid, Our PM gifted a gold replica of this to the saudi king last week) but being traders and only confined to coastal areas, the outreach was not great. And then came the Ghazni & Ghouri who repeatedly raided India , slave dynasty's rule began and after that Mughals. **Before all that we have had many great ruler who were tolerant towards all religions and even encouraged religions other than own. **Temples , apart from being a symbol of religion where also a symbol of wealth and power, so it was common for a king to raid the temples of other rulers even if it belonged to his own religion. **Buddhism and Jainism attracted a large number of Vaishyas and shudras (3 & 4th strata of hindu's) so they were not invasive as the upper 2 stratas were usually safe. And due to their constructive work and ideology. Many kings built Stupas, Viharas and Chaityas and so on.. Huge impact on architecture! **The new religion on the block, Islam. Propagated/represented by Slave dynasty. Dark period for art and architecture. Temples were converted to Mosques. Note, previously they were just raided and may be a name change or a deity change but it was ok as its still a Hindu temple. So this was changing. **Mughals! There were good rulers , there were great rulers and then there were utter shitty rulers from this dynasty. There were shitty policies of conversion and taxing the pilgrims and religious bigotry and hatred towards other rulers and subjects. And there were rulers like Akbar - liberal and all encompassing. All the while during this period- Muslim rulers had ministers and talented Hindus in their court and Hindu rulers had talented Muslim commanders in their court too. But the point is, the poor subjects couldnt care less. Their life was no different, they had to toil and lead a petty life. So there was no communal hatred among the masses. Enter East Fucking India company! The good old carrot and stick policy. *1857 - 1st war of Indian Independence. All fought together, Hindus and Muslims with a Muslim general and laws like banning cow slaughter to respect the sentiments of fellow Hindu soldiers and stuff. These soldiers who mutinied declared the old Mughal ruler as the king and then the revolt spread like wild fire. *Company took note of this and followed a policy of suppressing Muslims and during the same time , it was a period of cultural Renaissance for Hindu. Educated and enlightened intellectuals took it upon themselves to rid the religion of its outdated illogical superstitious stuff. And so the "middle class" Hindu's emerged as an educated class occupying all the jobs in the kingdom. *This educated Middle class starts questioning British policies and Indian National Congress(INC) is formed. Now, what do the british do.??? Simple, stick to the Hindus and carrot to the Muslims. Bengal is divided on the basis of language and religion, Communal representation is introduced, Pro muslim policy, reservation in jobs, schools etc and ultimately a dream to have an independent state of their own. And of course few weak people from both sides succumbed to this lure of power and wealth which resulted into India and Pakistan. Fast Forward to present - Apart from China , the only country which we have had constant trouble from beginning is Pakistan and which is the majority religion there? Islam. There has been penetration and cross border terrorism, fringe elements raising Pakistan flags inside India. Result - Anger, suspicion , eventually hatred. But in spite of this there is a very healthy relationship between the communities at the grass root level and even at the urban level. The real problem kicks in when politicians try to use all this history (mostly the bad part) and incite hatred among the masses. That's it, if people act smart there is no doubt that we can happily co-exist like we always have. Unity in Diversity! #FuckHatred #FuckCheapPolitics #FuckCommunalism P.S - I like to believe that we can even co-exist happily with Pakistan someday. This makes me smile

Hello Anu Wonderful topic. You are absolutely right, what you feed your body reflects how good/bad it is. Its known to everyone but to realise and act on it is a challenge. more often the compulsion to eat more (be it junk or not) causes trouble and its very tough to control that urge (at least to me, with all that good food around ) I'll leave that hi-tech stuff to you guys. Over here , if you are not in the cities and if you are with around family. No need to plan any diet. It'll be taken care of by our mothers - who are mostly vegetarian. So meat is gone. Swapped colas, beers and other drinks with coconut water. Amazing stuff this one! So they are also gone. Not a fan of chocolates and pastries but there are a lot more sweets which I love to counter it I started eating karela , fuck! Bitter as fuck! but over the years I have started liking the taste So sweets too are kicked out. Only thing I got to look out for is the rice and oily foods like Puri's and Wada's. hi hi.. Our diet is usually very high proteins with legumes forming a part of our everyday meal. These are what I have completely stopped like (99.99% ) NO - soft drinks, outside food, deep fried food, rice, meat, cheese, junk This is my everyday's intake Yes - A glass of milk (cow milk), an egg , breakfast is usually a multi grain dosa or ragi dosa, afternoon meal 1 veggie made out of legumes + 1 veggie made out of roots or other veggies + flat bread made out of Jowar or wheat + curd (no meal without curd) + a ton of tropical fruits when in season. Previously it was CRAP! Every single meal I used to outside, street side food + cafeteria crap food + take outs. The changes that I have observed - I have ultra sensitive oily skin, which hates oil+junk. My digestion is at its best now. Waaaay more energetic and also I'm slightly more focused, sleeping time has reduced to 6-7 hours/day (except during the onset of monsoons, I got to enjoy the cold breeze after crazy summers ) You can always grow it yourself or find a substitute no.? Bitterest thing I've ever tasted - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Momordica_charantia(check out the Indian variety, looks like alien fruit!) Something that I really like these days - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleusine_coracana And then there is heavy usage of turmeric , ginger , garlic and other spices which have immense health benefits inherent in our cooking. So all I got to do is eat at home (You can check out the pic from the other topic where me and padmapani are conversing regarding the same)

Chi-A.D - Earth Crossing (Amakusa Records)
Starkraver replied to U.F.Orb's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
It's not out yet. I was waiting for them to announce the date Many of us have noticed & commented I was surprised to see Vince's name in the releases. Has he mastered Goa releases before, if so can any you experts shed some light on his style of mastering? -
First track is nice, 2nd well I can see they are in a festive mood.

History is not my strongest subject to be honest & that too medieval history, I'm quite ok with modern history though. I'll try to put together whatever little bits and pieces of info that I have along with the current ground level scenario in the evening.

Well I asked the mods to delete the old one they are lazy.

01 - Smoke & Mirrors (145 BPM) 02 - Glittering Glow Oscillation Of Delight Dungeon (148 BPM) 03 - Subliminal Upgrade (148 BPM) 04 - Extrapyramidal Twerking On A Pyramid (147 BPM) 05 - Ignotrancer (147 BPM) 06 - The 7th Afterglow Of Son Mikael (150 BPM) 07 - On A Ranch Mission (To Save The Flock) (140 BPM) Mastered by Deimos. Artwork by Alpo Luoto. Oopie is back with his 2nd album and damn its a beast. If first was slow trippy goodness this is banging playful foresty Goa with a native elegant Suomi touch. Right when I almost gave up on searching for albums that are similar to Kiriyama - Reach Escape Velocity, Oopie dropped this bomb! Beautiful blend of elements from different sub-genres executed the way they should be. Gotta love that cover What is it with you Finns, you guys always tripping or what Look at those track names, Extrapyramidal Twerking On A Pyramid , Ignotrancer , The 7th Afterglow Of Son Mikael. I would like to be there Trippy cover art , trippy track names, funny samples which compliment the trippy album perfectly. All in all a great ride. Best part is you get to ask Jim a question.. It's her spot. She has slept on that chair for more than half her lifetime. But last week, I felt it would strain her legs while jumping down. So I got the cushion down and made a bed out of it. I was right, she is no more able to walk properly. Her health has deteriorated rapidly since yesterday. She just wont eat, today evening she had a butterscotch ice cream after 2 days of fasting.

Yes, true. My first pet is so old now, today she couldn't even walk, I had to carry her out for loo and back. It does make me sad and bring tears very often as I we both grew up together. 16years! is a long time. I cant even my room without her sleeping on her chair. Both. Yes, I wouldn't want to be a zombie. Absolutely Almost cried of happiness! (which makes me realise, I've become very emotional these days) Fuck the shell I'm gonna cry, I'm gonna smile & I'm gonna live.
