  1. just had it in the mailbox, it's freakin superb, it has an all time classic feel to it, a timeless elegance feeling, like goa trance was reinvented again into something more stylish with less boundaries and cliches(though there are some big cliches in it, but they're good ) 8.3/10!!
  2. ok for the love of god, i'll try to do my part for me the whole psytrance thing started with their 'the gathering' back in 1998 (i discovered it myself in 2001, wich got me eventually into dj'ing and producing that same year) still today i consider the gathering to be my 'holy bible' of psytrance and genres alike, like the hard core i followed it very closely untill bp empire but with converting veggies i had to rethink it, still after some time i really digged it, mostly the other side and most of the track on the trance side. I guess mainly because i loved them so much for making the three previous albums, my subconscious self still wanted to adapt Im the supervisor was like the deathstab for me since their old style had completely morphed into something more weirder and more commercial(seems the only word for it) than anything before. still again after a while i really got into tracks like meduzz and even im the supervisor, but still disliking some elements as duvdev's singing (though sometimes it works quirkishly intruiging). now with this album i sensed small elements coming back from past lore. for instance the vicious delicious track i like very much as wel as eat it raw, i like it very mad and ravy and made me think for an instant of certain elements of the gathering tracks. in a way its not bad they have kept on evolving to what style they have today, a style which is broader and weirder than anything else on the market today, which i am certain of that that was their key to succes in the first place. they said it themselves 'we wanted to keep evolving our style to be able to play music for an ever expanding crowd' be it commercial or not, they live in hollywood, they can write music for movies and things alike, they just did what they wanted to do in the first place, make big money with the things they liked to do. and they did it. my quote : 6/10 TG 9.5/10 CM 9/10 BPE 9.3/10 CV 7/10 IMTS 6/10 edit: i also agree on the plot issue, this album has no plot, not that its needed, none of their albums had a clear plot i think (maybe the gathering and bp empire a bit) its indeed quite a mix bag as usual and only adds up to its intruiging factor edit2: and, all said and done, after making TG CM and BPE, they could even start making poptrance GMS-style with fluffy barbies singing in it, they would still be the kings of psytrance for me
  3. hey good mix man, good skill, i'd love to hear you at a party somewhere cuz here in belgium a dj who combines styles is almost unexisting and it's really hard to get in the music when you're mixing it yourself... =( =D
  4. stryder - a dark conversation with nature(right click, save target as...) mix specifics: 82,3 Mb | 1h | 192 Kbps | 145 bpm dark/newskool 01.Shpongle - Divine Moments Of Truth(Hallucinogen rmx) 02.Tristan vs Laughing Buddha - Levels of Truth 03. 04.Xenomorph - Apocalyptic Ritual 05.Horror Place - Hantram Santram Katambram 06.Chromatone & Random - Acid Burn 07.Dino vs Dado - The Ring Shifter 08.Tristan vs Prometheus - Grow More Pot 09.Hallucinogen & Lucas - Pipeworm 10.Protoculture & Tristan - Pusher I made this mix as a promo for the organiser of 'A Dark Conversation With Nature', a darkpsy-fest taking place in a big forest between antwerp and ghent, belgium... so I tried to demonstrate my skills to the max as wel as my broad taste in psy... in overall I prefer twisted records and suntrip records (the only ones worth buying(double) hehe ) but i also have a crush on very melodic/uplifting/emo trance (protoculture!!!), i also play chill-out music a la interchill, chillcode etc etc, also i get a great deal of music from belgian producers (mostly idm-ish) and have very talented producers amongst my friends. and i don't seem to recall the third track in the mix, i'm quite sure it's a twisted rec artist in collab with some other(still there's a protoculture feeling in there), but my brain refuses to nail it down so if anyone has a good shot go ahead and shoot! i'm afraid searching my cds and music folders is a lost cause hope you enjoy the mix! love, stryder artwork courtesy of Jussi Löf image courtesy of Stryder

  8. zzz...
  9. i always play using cds but i've got friends who play via pc program, and i really don't care, because they master it better than i master my decks, and they've got twice the possibilities+ loops, which are damn handy for mixing songs+effects who beat the effects of pioneer's...and so on and on... pc has better possibilities.. but prerecord NO! i once prerecorded cause i didn't have any time left and i really felt bad when playing it, felt like a thief, so started spinning 'live' again, which cracked me up spinning with vinyl is the only way of 'mastering' the dj-essence, since you're in real contact with the material...

  12. there just isn't one, posting some would be an insult to other songs and artists, so i'm not going to post any, hallucinogen's Solstice is one of my biggest favs, jep really comes close to one of the best actually greez
  13. "Smurfs on Shrooms" is really good, good prod+master really psychedelic and "mushroomy" feel to it, like old times, love the rather slow bpm. I listened on simple multimedia speakers and it came through rather nice! when I check out the other ones I'll be sure to leave a feedback wow! just listened to all of them and i'm impressed by your skills and melodies, it really kept me going. in the 2nd track watch out with the guit riff, but that's all I have to say, really motivating psy with emo touch <3 greez
  14. My Muzik ...all my tracks and projects Jamroom ...psychedelic music Live Space ...picturespace MySpace ...videospace love, stryder ~psydance~ peace out...
  15. yea it's kinda cool good production! q-base i guess right? greeezz
  16. this could be an instant g.m.s. classic if you carefully add and structurize your riffs and builds. mastering is equalizing and compressing of all sounds separate and in whole, be sure not to eat out of your sounds' dynamics with compressor and try to limit your master channel so really nothing exceeds your monitor(distortion, gain over, you don't want that :s) you got the g.m.s. synth going good! i like it! but it needs more work and layers. greezzz
  17. Lost Buddha mmmmm taste like marmelade cake to me <3 greez
  18. shit! now I know what i forgot @ nova in the ardens my copy of this album!
  19. IFO all the way...
  20. actually this kinda nagging and shit we have also on the belgian psyforum, though less feminism ^^ i miss it so much
  21. LIVE: EYE : Ioannis Boulouhouris(GREECE) and Candide Libaers(BELGIUM) produce since longtime ambient and chill together, it will be the first time for them to perform live with their midi keyboards, synth and laptops. MANTAR VISION : Well-known chill-out performers, they will come with all their instruments and equipment to play live didge, percussion, flute and various other smaller instruments... time to relax... DJ DIGITALYS : Will play a beautiful spacy intro as wel as shifts in beats and bpm. SIDDHARTA : Plays a varied downtempo psytrance as wel as uptempo prog-set added with some scarce full-on drifting about to bring you in the complete spirit of siddharta QUINSLONN vs. YUME They have broad chill and psy-chill set in mind along with IDM and other nu-break beauty... siddharta's lounge greets and love
  22. and foreground! shit this stuff is nice!!! for me, it can never be too sunny or too lucid enough. the problem is that it needs to be done with style! like s>range hasn't got a style. and the samples used in this album have truly no style also, which is the only let down here and there. Just drive in the hot evening sun by the beach on the 'In My Dream' track! those samples fuck it up big time though... but i'm totally down with this poppy clubby style to it cuz it's done quite good in this album...definitely a road to take in my producing...
