1) 2) All tracks on that album have appeared many times on compilations so that's likely the reason the album itself is overlooked.

Will the album be only Goa / only Ambient OR a mixture of both ?
-
What's that on top right ? The Crop Circles CD single ?

Transdimensional vs. I.F.O. : prices of originals
Goa-Head replied to Goa-Head's topic in General Psytrance
This is a joke. This means that you don't advertise it. How can IFO remain on the shelf for 6 months?!?!?!?! I sold the Novatekk version for a 100 Euro ten days ago (no profit done - just what it cost me a month before to get - funny story I will not tell here) You can get something(s) very nice from your wantlist if you are unsure what price to fix. -
Added TRANCE07: Trance Central Volume 7 / Trip To Goa (Return)

Guys, It's a free-market. If he bought it for €0.01 and someone gives hime a €100.00 for it, so what ? If he (really) bought it for €20 or so means that the former seller was happy with that price and admittedely Oopie even more Interesting to know that some time ago this sold for €45 on discogs (see marketprice history) If that is not enough, last December I.F.O. was sold for €5 (yes, five) there. :wank:

The 1st electronic track to be officially released by Posford is The Quickening in 1993. Incredible, but LSD was released as a B-side !

You could have sent me that for the influx album rather than the Matsuri CD. I would have put some cash in the sleeve also

Transdimensional vs. I.F.O. : prices of originals
Goa-Head replied to Goa-Head's topic in General Psytrance
It doesn't cost a €1 and you don't find it regularly. So you can't simply say "buy the original". -
So, there you go, such a title will prop many eyes. Here's my reflections about the prices the originals are being sold at. If you look on Discogs right now you'll see 3 copies of the original TRANSDIMENSIONAL for sale with prices ranging from €75 to €99. One of the sellers (will not mention name) has originally listed it @ €500, an atrocious price that however 1 in a 1000 was prepared to pay. Another seller came along and listed it @ €180. These 2 sellers slowly chopped the price down after a third recent seller came in and was the 1st to put it for sale at below €100. And there you go - you have the chance to grab the original @ a really good price considering its scarcity due to low original quantity pressed. Now look at I.F.O. Between the Dragonfly Original and the Nova Tekk version you have currently 10 for sale. Up to some days ago they were 8 for sale all skimming the €100 price. Recently someone listed it @ €79 and in the last 2 days or so a new seller listed it for €75. Now consider the quantity in which they were originally produced. IFO was surely produced in "commercial" quantities (commercial: in underground terms of course) and was released on 2 labels in the same year. On the other hand however we all know that TRANSDIMENSIONAL was much limited. Anyone remember this being sold in high street stores like Virgin, HMV etc ? Don't think was sold there right ? So why is it that people still continue to list I.F.O. for sale @ no less than €100 generally when it was so much produced in mass quantities and TRANSDIMENSIONAL is suddenly being offered for a "mere" €75 when it is so lowly produced ? Was it the Suntrip reissue last year which pushed back the price of the original ? To me this is something un-conceivable. I.F.O. should be offered for sale for much less. It was produced in mass quantities and we have a handful for sale right now! On the other hand I think that the price of the original Transdimensional has really touched the bottom and if I had lots of spare €€€ I would have already grabbed the lowest selling one for the fun of owning the original infamous edition. A reissue of I.F.O. is the dream of anyone, if anything for a remastering for sure. What are your thoughts when you compare the demand vs. original quantity vs. offered price vs. reissue ? Discuss.

It's impossible that you lose a "lot" of interest in the true Goa spirit. It will haunt you forever, it's surely something that you can't put under a carpet and pretend it's over. Being you, and being the sort of music, it can never happen.

The cover is wonderful, but why the spines are attached 1 to the front cover and one to the back (not both attached to the back-cover as supposed) ? When I print cover I have to crop it from the front cover & and paste it to the back part. Same goes for part II.
-
Hadn't you said you lost a lot of interest for Goa trance :wank: ? Seems impossible anyway
-
It was made straight from the beginning that the mastering is "as it came out from the artists' hands" To me this is the best compilation up to now from the new goa generation. The "bad" sound quality adds charm to its old-school feeling
-
Mind you, I didn't say that this release is bad I was merely surprised that it didn't blow me away immediately upon 1st listening :wank:

Received it yesterday, and TBH I was a bit disappointed. Don't know why but I think isn't as strong as the previous Suntrip releases. To me sounds very formulaic new-school Goa Trance. This doesn't mean it's bad but sounds very much like the ton of recent free digital releases these 2 years or so; but pressed on CD. Again: didn't say that new-school Goa Trance is bad (rather the opposite) but when released on CD the track sele tion has usually something much deeper than what you normally download. Even the sound quality isn't top I think. If I compare to Apsara & Twist Dreams these are much better if you ask me. The Downtempo disc is weak IMO. Only track which immediately struck me is Filteria's which (again) is in line with old Pleiadians but much better produced. Having said that, the booklet with it's history of Trance reminds me of the old Return To The Source releases, which is nice. The artwork is a piece of art, as usual. Am I the only 1 ?

Just listened. It can never beat part II. Didn't like it much actually. There are no deep moments IMO.

My first deal with this Aussie guy went A+ He asked me about the price of a particular CD & promptly sent the payment. Much fun with it, Joseph xxx
