  1. I must say I agree more with athakos. I find this to be very good, especially song number one. The break after about 4 minutes is just so great! Though I can understand that some may find this abit too minimal! But for me it's just lovely. The second track is ok aswell but I don't think it's that speciall. But never the less, if you enjoy minimal you should look into this release and especially Brontophon.

    Noma - Navigator

This must be one of my favorite minimalistic albums. Noma is a master when it comes to building up the tracks, in the end you'll go absolutely crazy. My favorite track on this album is Boese but I like all track very much. After reading above I saw that some people think this album should be more variated. I don't really agree since I can actually play this album over and over again without getting tired of it. My conclusion: Superiour album from Noma!! I'm also looking forward to the upcoming Prex (S-Range + Noma) album.
  3. I agree, very nice "techno-trance" mix album . Reminds me of Spirallianz/Midi Miliz which I like very much. I think Beach Party is the best track on the album.

    Ra - To Sirius

What more is there to say really? This is indeed a great oldschool sounding album. I think it's great that some people still are producing great melodic music like this when more and more artists are making minimal/progressive trance music. There's no bad track here, but Initiated really stands out. Awesome melody after about 5:50! I think the intro is very nice aswell. Easily the best melodic album released in a long time.
  5. This is good stuff! Both tracks are good, but typhoid is the better one imo. I can understand that for some people the "melody" you hear in typhoid can be quite annoying, but to me it's the opposite. There's something there driving you mad on the dancefloor (and at home aswell, everytime I hear it I'd like to dance ). Disorder is a bit more psychedelic with a nice melody. I guess you can call it a little more uplifting than Typhoid atleast. Good track aswell! But to me, Typhoid is a killer!
  6. I agree, RFN definitely sounds more like a Noma track. His typical baseline is used here. But RFN is a very nice track. Great for the dance floor, builds up slowly, just like a typical Noma track with some S-Range influences. Actually I think RFN is the better track on this EP.. Listening to Mandrake however you can still hear the Noma baseline, but not quite as "typical" as in RFN, but you can easily tell Noma has a finger in the track. Here you'll find a little more melodies and I guess a little more S-Range influences than in RFN, especially close to the end. Still to me it sounds like Noma is dominating with his sounds. This is a great EP. I'd love to hear more from Prex. I also read somewhere that they were about releasing an album, can't wait to get it.

    MOS - Meter

I agree with all of you!! Great minimalstic trance with heavy beats. Not as much subtile melodies as Atmos, Noma and such bring us but the heavy bass will make you move. My favorite tracks are _Kommdas_, Timing and Clouds but all tracks are good. Excellent album!
  8. This must be one of the best EP's out there at the moment. Noma is damn good. The way he builds up the tracks is so amazing. Listening to a whole song will drive you crazy, it's almost impossible to stay still if you're into this kind of music. Both tracks on this EP are "killers". Goons is the better one though but Vacuum is still very very good. As Mahoney said, Vacuum does remind one of Atmos, its sensitive build up and nice layers match perfectly. Goons also has a great build up and you will find it very hard to stay still. It can't get much better than nice. I can't wait to see Noma at a party.

    V/A - Goa Head 11

This CD is quite average. There isn't what I believe a killer track but there are some nice ones. The Disco Slickers track is good as usually and I also like the Sun Project and Bitmonx track. Since I hadn't heard the new (?) mix of Chi-A.D.'s pathfinder track I was looking forward to hear it since Chi-A.D. has been one of my favorite artists awhile ago, but to my dissapointment I didn't like it much. There's nothing really fancy about cd #2 either, but don't get me wrong, it's not really bad, it just lacks that little extra. In short I think this CD compilation have its moments but it's not as good as it could have been. There's lots of great music being released nowadays and I don't think Goa Head has managed to bring us "the best in goa trance and psychedelic techno" this time..
  10. Great EP! I agree with evzene that trance troopers is the better track here and it's also one of my favorite minimalstic tracks. Black Lotus is more average. Highly recommend EP.
  11. This is, as mentioned above, a really good trance cd if you're into dark psychedelic trance. It's actually one of the best "minimalistic" compilations I've heard. I totally agree with Scott that people who're into the old goa sounds won't like CD1 at all. But for me this cd is something extraordinary even though I can enjoy listening to some melodic goa/trance just as much. Cd2 also contains nice chillout tunes but not quite as good as those on Return to the source - the chakra journey. I strongly suggest you to get this CD.
  12. I think this is a good album with lots of nice melodies and pretty fine atmosphere. I think it's well worth the buy.
  13. This is the best compilation ever! There's not a bad tune on this cd. If you like old melodic goa this is the one cd you should buy. I think this was the first goa cd I bought and it's still one of my favorites. Many people that I know discovered the world of goa using this Cd. If you don't have this one, I suggest you go buy it right away. 10/10!

    Chi-ad - Anno Domini

This album is very good. Try listening to for example Anno Domini, Pathfinder, The Flame of Eternal Life, just to mention a few, while trying to releax or sleep. Hopefully you'll discover the deep peacefull mood created by all the diffrent layers. I agree that this album is a little more tribal than the previous Chi-Ad releases. It's so filled with life and soul due to all the diffrent sounds and layers. I think you really have to _listen_ to this album to fully understand and appreciate the tunes. I hope you try since it's a wonderfull experience.

    SUN Project - Macrophage

Pretty good cd but I don't quite like all the guitar sounds. The best song is with no doubt Space Dwarfs which is absolutly lovely. The other tunes are good or ok aswell but nothing compared to space dwarfs. Since most of the tunes isn't exactly my style I can't give this album more than 6/10.
