ORCHID-STAR "Birth + Re-Birth" Superemotional :drama:
-
Mmmm. Very tasty album. Just the way i like, progressive sound in its finest form. The other good thing that it sounds very different from the rest and takes a special place in my mind. Already listened to it about 20 times (and i got the possibilty just this summer) and will return any time i want something special.

It's not so good as their previous "Tales of The Inexpressible" but pretty enjoyable. I liked when Simon and Raja were into making long tracks with a great story/ This one was done in a formula of many small pieces mixed together to create a very long sometimes interesting sometimes not journey. So it's just not what it was before, and i think if they wouldn't change that formula we could have heard much more interesting sound structures.

Space Tribe VS Electric Universe - Electric Space Phenomena
yerg replied to Lemmiwinks's topic in 2006
Very inspiring stuff this is. The flow is almost perfect throughout the whole album, ...almost. But it is very rare thing when one album rotates in my player for more than a month and this one did. Excellent job Boris and Olli.- 5 replies

You people had to see what happened to the crowd when i played Spectral Nation/ That was something really beautiful and high/ The melody flowed so well with the beats it somehow created ultimate positive atmosphere and after that i mixed in Prometheus' "Drug Sock" and everybody screamed with pleasure/ Maybe the best moment of my not so long dj career/ Solar Fields rules/

Nice groovy album this is. Mostly 4/4 tracks. Though my favourite are 6 and 7 which are break beat tracks. Others are also very good but those two are very well done. I also like "Commercial Break Munchies" for beautiful jazzy melodies. Surreal Audio

My God... Dark is not my cup of coca-cola but this is something different. It has to be because of that slight sub-suomi feeling, if i could say that. Anyway "Lost in Luxor" needs more listens from my side. Tracks i really liked are: #02 Lost in luxor (07:58)+#05 My mummy is a mummy (06:43)+#07 Jesus vs shitler (07:48)+#08 Nymphomaniac nefertiti (05:50)(absolutely gorgeous deep samples used in this track and fabulous name by the way )+#11 Tutankhamon 10000 (06:42) Others i just can't get into, definately i need more listens.

Label: Surreal Audio Catalog#: SURR 004 CD Format: CD, Album, Digipak Country: Finland Released: 2003 Genre: Electronic Style: Goa Trance, Progressive Trance, Ambient Credits: Producer, Written-By - Graham Wood , Tony Stapleton Notes: All tracks written and produced at the Siren Testing House Tracklisting: 1. Intro (0:59) 2. Cycles (6:56) 3. Active Compound (7:53) 4. Liquid Eyes (7:53) 5. Grey Tone (7:32) 6. Movin' (5:15) 7. Scope (5:46) 8. Fat Controller (5:58) 9. Stoned (7:00) 10. Not The End (5:33) 11. Trumpetfishology (16:07) When i couldn't find review on this album I had to write one). Graham Wood & Tony Stapleton created progressive bless on "Puffed Up". I was amazed by how good this was the first time i heard it. Here are 11 tracks. The first one is Intro which could be easily the beginning of the second track (it's a kind of the mystery why they made it a separate intro - maybe it's just an artistic move). Anyway it sets just the right mood for the rest of the album. Tracks 2, 3, 4, 5 are true progressive diggers (cause they dig DEEP ). All those tracks move like special ops in the jungle - they are invisible and very professional. My favourite is "Liquid Eyes" the groove is so overwhelming in it. It's neither too fast nor too slow and ... the Kick is f*cking awesome. I repeatedly listened to it for several times till i decided to go further. Tracks 6 and 7 are much slower. It's still got 4/4 kick and the grooviness is still in there :posford: They could be played by any prog-house dj for sure. Track 8 - "Fat Controller" steps into progressive break beat territory. Am i listenning to Distinctive Breaks release or what? ... i asked myself when i heard it the first time. Really fat breaks with twisted sounds here and there calling you to spread your legs on the dancefloor Tracks 9 and 10 find peace in downbeat realm with intelligent kinda discussions on "Do You Smoke Pot?" in track Stoned. "Not The End" is perfect for afterhours and chilling with the joint Track 11 "Trumpetfishology" is the last one and the longest. By now i still don't have any shaped thought on this track. It's complex and i should listen to it one more time with a clear mind. But it's defenately in the psy-chill field. I love "Puffed Up". It's brilliant. I am very glad that i could find it because it is this kind of revelation when you find something that was forgotten but still shines in full power. And I don't get what happened to Surreal Audio label. They started so well with "Beats and Beyond" comp. and two albums by KIWA. Pitty they're gone. RESPECT.

Excellent album. Every track has a very groovy atmosphere. From the very beginning Kiwa gives the right beat to start dancing. :posford:

Very cool copmilation from surreal audio. Brings back that funky twisted suomi feeling. Kiwa's track is absolute stormer and yojalka's are favourite of mine. Recommended for the twisted-suomi-heads.
