  1. ah well, maybe the reason why I dislike it is because I have a total Hare Krishna trauma... A HUGE one, if I even hear those chanting vocals I put it off... But I just tried again, and it's just not my cup of tea... Nataraja 1 playing now, 100 times better
  2. It's Athena, one of the 2 first track in the Goa Vibes 3 compilation, it's Miranda's different name anyway, Radi, with that kind of attitude you DESTROY melodic trance, people hate that kind of comments and start to hate melodic trance too because of that, so please keep it positive from now on or go to Isratrance instead
  3. well, this is only 1 place away from number 3 http://www.discogs.com/release/40940 and of course, also with 59 wants... http://www.discogs.com/release/9388
  4. To be honest, I don't like them one bit... i had them in a pile of cds I won, and I hardly ever listened to that one, it's typical Hare Krishna Shanti Shanti ohm stuff, more concentrated on the Krishna samples instead of the music... it would deserve only a 1/5 on my scale of music :s
  5. that's what I was thinking... chance is 99% it is him indeed
  6. lol, I know, it was rather a message to Space Monkey... But good suomi sets are indeed impossible to find it seems...
  7. I had a forest mix online, but it's gone at the moment, I will upload it soon again if you want Otherwise, maybe some people downloaded it and are willing to share it?
  8. Yes, I think the should have to option to vote anonymous and NOT anonymous, why? I understand that, if a famous artists talks shit about a big festival, he will have less gigs, if he can vote anonymous this problem is solved... But if he wants to do it openly, even better of course... Otherwise I think a page like this for labels is maybe more necessary, I hear more shit about labels then about parties... Also party organisers shift ALL the time, I organised parties with at least 10-15 different people in my life already while a label has mostly a "fixed" crew
  9. ok, fair enough, if you ask black and white questions there will be no problem @ Nemo, if you would do something like that it would be a good idea indeed, and it's pretty easy indeed if you allow the artists to vote anonymous if they like... I can help you with Belgian organisations if you want
  10. What about organisers that don't even CAN answer on these questions because they actually did everything you said they don't? I'm sure many organisers are actually taking their responsability... so I would say send this to organisers you know they are NOT paying artists, not to everyone... It would be pretty aggressive/offending to send this to someone that works hard to organise fair parties where everyone is getting paid... It's like sending a mail to all artists "why are you making such shitty music, and why did you sell your soul to money?" Just my 0.02...

cool, if everyone would use the mp3 like you do it, it would be GREAT, really, thanks for still buying music! But the fact is that, before mp3 was there, a label sold 10-12 more cds then today... (but ok, let's stop this discussion here as otherwise we are going too far off topic)

well, the thing is that scene is fallen apart, you have so many styles that concentrate on "their" public... Detox is 100% right about all he said except for 1 thing, certain 300cd releases are not bad at all, and I rather buy them then the "top hits" from this moment... most very fresh and original ideas are made by unknown artists that sell not much... (so the 300 cds-category) I don't think cd sales are a good thing to measure the quality of a release... For instance it's clear that our label sells less then latest Alien Project or Deedrah or bla bla bla, but that doesn't mean per sé our music is worse... Anyway, if the situation is really so bad there may be a possibilitie of starting some kind of trade unions between artists? Like that they can fight for their rights! And also, we should create an atmosphere of buying cds again... There must be some tricks so people buy more and download less... (worms in mp3's that destroy all mp3's on computers? héhé)
  13. now that I think of it, sometimes people can by several items from online shops as well... I bought several Nataraja 2's from Psyshop like 6 months ago because they were available, i was totally shocked and bought almost all of them And last week I found a brand new copy, still in plastic, in a second hand shop in Paris as well, so sometimes it's just about being lucky
  14. Ah well, sometimes people can buy like 5 or 10 cds from one guy at a very good price... Simply because the guy found an old stock in his basement, and he sells it very cheap... (the guy is happy he can still sell that old weird music)... And if you are lucky you can buy like 10 Asia 2001's like that... and you'll become rich, héhé Edit: or like that you can trade like hell! Been there, done that
  15. ah well, it was a secret But let's hope I will sell your album as well one day
  16. Buy the above albums you mean! I have them all for sale at the moment

yeah possible, the scene is always shifting, there is clearly a raise of progressive house trance/crossover and dark trance, it's not a bad thing, as long the music becomes NOT like a formula and boring...

hehe, thanks, but the thing is, if you do it "our" way or the Schlab, Sanaton,... way, you don't earn one penny, altough it takes lots of your time, and I think exactly THAT is the problem... Way too few people dedicate theirselve to the music, but they think running a label = earning money, so = releasing more commercial music = releasing full on But that is what I meant in one of my comments earlier, I have the feeling quiet alot of "new" people have their heart on the right place and they try to make things better, so there is hope
  19. ah well, emotional melodies and good soundquality and some acid Morphem - Out of Focus Dreamweaver - Lord of Illusions Xervana - (I forgot the name of the album, but it has loads of emotional melodies) Luminus - Hypnotica

lol, don't worry, it is NOT chill out, and if you would ever play on a party of me you would never end up in the chill room, lol... In fact your music reminded me on more melodic AND PICTHED UP (héhé) Emmanuel Top, so nice acid trance

I agree that there are not so much groups playing slower music, altough I ended up already on parties and festivals where they were playing like 140-135 BPM progressive... I am not really into progressive, so I have no idea how the evolution is there... About the dark music I agree its mostly véry fast, but it's not the case with many Finnish groups, many of them have lots of funky tracks around 140 bpm, and Loopus in Fabula, which get booked alot, plays alot slower tracks as well... Anyway, in general you are right about Big parties and festival. But within the releases it is a little different luckely enough! About not being booked in Belgium, there are a few reasons (and now i'm speaking for my case) 1. I learned that most artists that made old school in the passed and moved on to another style, don't want to play their old music... And you wrote a few times old school is over for you etc, so well, I'm not willing to be rude, but people would come to hear old schoolish trance and would be very dissapointed when they hear progressive trance/house crossover... 2. We wanted to book you long time ago indeed, so we were planning it back then, but since then alot changed, we started suntrip, and there are loads of "small" artists that had the chance to play on parties here because of that (so, it's not true that only big names play here) 3. I simply didn't organised many big parties anymore, rather smaller ones, because it is more fun, I have the right public, and there is less stress etc... But if you are still willing to play an old school set we may think about that in the future... About Rhakti Dei festival, Dan is totally into dark music, the line up the first year was very melodic indeed, but I helped them alot back then with the line up, so that explains partly, now they don't really want old school acts anymore (they only booked Cosmosis this year because they knew that would bring alot of people).

oh, come on, that is so NOT true, there is tons of good music released lately that is far away from mainstream full on killargh famous artists... Finnish music is being released more and more, Swedish forests sounds and experimental stuff, beautiful ambient, and of course we try to keep the melodic goa trance part alive together with some other labels (like Kagdilia and Tranceform), and believe me, we get more and more good promos, clearly more people try to make something else... I know there is TONS and loads of shitty music lately, but try to see light in the dark, it's the first time in years I managed to find 20 interesting albums in 6 months which I really like! I have the feeling there is some kind of positive evolution, Full On is definately popular, but not total dominating anymore (and it's going more and more commercial anyway, so I'm not sure it will be a part of the psychedelic trance scene for long...), dark trance is much bigger now, and finnish music is rising too... there are some very good goa trance albums planned as well, and the progressive trance/house crossover is doing well too, altough I have the feeling it is splitting from the in your face-dance parties... Maybe I'm just too positive, but I want to see things in perspective, not all is bad... really

In the 6 years I have been dj-ing I have played from Portugal to Sweden, and loads of times in Belgium/Holland, a few weeks back I had my 150'th gig, and in those 150 gigs I only had problems 2 (!!!!) times, that's all... I wasn't paid numorous times, but that was in 98% of the cases because the organiser lost money, and then I don't care about the money, only travel-expenses are fine then... The 2 times I had problems were indeed bad organisers, but I don't think their amount is SO big, a few yes, but only a few, I'm sure you guys had numorous good experiences as well, and I hope MUCH more then negative ones... About labels... Choose people you trust, their are so many rumours about certao, labels that don't do their job properly, well... Where there is smoke, there is fire... In fact it's the same for party organisers... The result of doing some research about labels/party organisations should be huge... ps: If you expect something and you get nothing you are mad and dissapointed... if you don't expect something, you end up getting everything... Maybe naïeve, but in your head this type of thinking makes the negative experiences in live so much better... Anyway, I hope for both Chris and Collinn that you will have loads of bookings in the future and you get in touch with the right people so positive vibes will take over the frustrations!
  24. aha, idem dito, one of my first electronic cds was U96 - Das Boot... Hilarious, but it still has alot of power But before I bough (or my parents at least) bought alot of New beat and gave it to me, most have been around 1990, it was a real hype back then in Belgium
  25. My first goa trance cd I bought, while being aware it was goa trance was Bypass Unit - Green Dreams (98) I had some goa trance from 96-97 already on various compilations (like trancemaster) without realising it was goa trance I just liked that "weird" tracks of the Green Nuns and Transwave very much
