haha, I had something weird like that some time ago, I was bidding against my OWN (former) girlfriend, we both didn't know that... And the last second we were bidding and at once the price was 35€, it was like "what the fuck" Argh, I still don't forgive her that I guess the Occidental will reach the 200€ again...? Curious to see... maybe one day people pay only 20 for it, and then... THEN I will buy it! What other cds were extremely expensive on ebay? (+100€), I remember the Indoor, Asia 2001 - Ra once, IFO probably too, Balagan and one of the Trance Mixes... but what else ever reached the 100€? edit: Dimension 5 of COurse! Edit 2: and Transwave Hypnothytm Edit 3: and Infinity hz 1 and 2

haha, naah, I'm too much a workaholic already... It's hard to combine all this with school and work etc... 4 is the absolute maximum for one year, and only if we think there is enough good music to release... and now back to reviewing

Check ebay once in a while, that masterpiece has been gone for 2€ 100 times I think...

for me, the fact there are still parties with that music every 2 weeks here mean there IS a point in making that style... because people want new, and more... it's like saying "don't make Rock anymore, it has been made for years, evoluate", I never understood that idea... if you love 1 particular style there is no reason to say one day "I see the hype has passed, let's listen to other music", once you fall in love with something... it is forever (now I'm talking for myself of course )

I like some dark, when it is psychedelic, creative, has melodies and is intense... I love it the problem is just that too much dark becomes formulatic... But luckely there are exceptions indeed... like the Durdom compilation for example, or Greg on Earth, Scatterbrain,... and I prefer dark above all the other genres you mentioned, but not above old school goa trance... (and luckely we have more old school then dark parties here... Altough the best ones are the ones with dark music at night and old school in the morning)

I had to choose for 2 albums: Battle Buddhas - Twin Sharkfins MFG - Project Genesis Both albums where a serious mental storm... Xenomorph - Cassandra's Nightmare scores high as well but I'm not sure if it is really dark because some tracks has really brightful melodies...

And Sneila! Otto Matta said some interesting things indeed, I nindeed think your surrounding has influence on your music... ka Sol for instance lives next to a real Trollish forests and works in nature all day, Kluster lives in the middle of the forest etc...

Forest trance is just a name, héhé you can call it psytrance with industrial elements if you like There are indeed similarities between Derango and dark trance artists (specially the derango album), and that may be the reason why I don't like all the tracks of his album I like his lose tracks more... Derango is a fusion between forest trance and dark trance imo... For instance Puro - Shut Wide Eyes, that must be the definition of forest trance, and it's made by them... Scando trance then... It's a broader name... I know people that call Ticon Scando sound, simply because it is from Scandinavia... I would say Scando sound is simply music from Scandinavia, while forest trance is dark music, MAINLY (not only) made in Sweden, with typical elements
