Well, it is clearly made by the same guy as the sounds are the same, but You has stronger basslines, no ambient tracks and is very happy/melodic (cheesy), but it makes me feel happy anyway And yes, I like the Green House Effect album too Emuna is also in the same style, and early California Sunshine...

But I love it Not for on parties of course, but blissfull home listening! Maybe this one is véry close to normal trance, so I was wondering if enybody knows normal trance artists which is almost the same? (and no Platipus releases as I have most of them) Thanks

I have the feeling some things were understand wrongly, I don't mean a dj should play full on if the people ask for that, but when you are playing in your style (for me mostly melodic goa trance) and you like certain style of tracks are not working you better play different tracks within "your" genre... You should try to create a story and a flow while crowdreading, it should be influenced both ways, dj vs people... people vs dj... (imo of course) About mixing perfectly Lepton, it is almost impossible with Suomi and/or old school, I consider a mix good when there is a good flow in it and the melodies continue without going "wrong"... But these kinds of psytrance are not the kind of music which can be mixed as perfectly as techno and house, where you have mixes of a few MINUTES sometimes... I also agree there's a big difference between parties and home listening -
We are glad to say we agreed this weekend with Christer about a Full Album on Suntrip records, he will release his more melodic and morning forest tracks probably around april on Suntrip, (and around the same time he will release a harder, more industrial style album on Schlab...) I'm really happy about this as I never understood why such an artist never had the chance to release an album So all people that liked Sraqp on Apsara... This will be even better (one word: Skreno! In a few months you'll understand...) Ka-Bom!

Interesting what you say, but as a dj it should be your "job" to make people warm for more special tracks... So that music that normally 70% hates will be hated afterwards by only 40% because it had the right place in a set... and it all made sense... Also, when you book a dj you know +- what he will play of course But maybe we can start another topic for that as we are spamming Rain's topic -
The 2005 cds that were stuck very often in my oven... euh, cd player lately Solar Fields - Extended Solar Fields - Leaving Home Derango - Tumult Various - Baldly Audio Nystagmus - The Immaculate Perception The Muses Rapt - You Procs - Stuck In The Oven With Me (too early to say if it will end up in my top 10) Various - Albedo Mandalavandalz - Poisonmachine Khetzal - Corolle (altough I released it, I just keep listening to it, I love it!) Conclusion: VERY GOOD AMBIENT YEAR! Except of that not so many memorable releases, but some very nice ones... I'm curious what the future will bring!

lol, there are 4 mixes on the psychedelic site and as far as I remember they are all perfectly beatmixed... no? And there is 1 mix floating around which is terrible indeed (the Dacru one, recorded like 3 years ago when I was really ill :s) And you said I mix random? My mixes are simply made for telling a story, it's the number 1 reason that I'm still dj-ing... I'm busy literally 5 hours a day chosing tracks that fit together, but I would never write down a list before mixing... I did it 1 time in my whole life, and that was the most terrible set in my life... I saw I was going a wrong direction at a certain moment, and I couldn't change it because I had to stick to that fucking paper... never again... Mixing with a list is losing contact with the public... because what do you do when you see a track or a style is not very well accepted...? Which tracks were wrong from your mix? I want to know -

well, as I said I pushed the wrong button, I wanted to reply and pushed edit by accident sorry -
"I know dj's who play all over the world and it takes 4 full days to create a 2 hour perfect mix..." That's the only thing I never understood, how people can MAKE a set before playing... I think a dj should feel what the public wants... And make his set "live", when you prepared one it is impossible to react on the needs of the public... maybe I'm just too old school, don't know... Anyway, about the mix, it has many great tracks, but it is a little too much uppitched, or is it just me? As it are more story telling tracks... And the first track sucks imo But except of that nice! Let's try to see what I recognised immediately 1. Unknown 2. Too Full On For Me (Rain Rmx) 3. I have it, but can't find the title 4. Cydonia (mentioned before) 5. Jaia & Dado - Sillenium 6. forgot the name, it is Brittish :| 7. Cosmosis - Gift of the Gods 8. no idea 9. no idea 10. Deedrah - The Wizard Demo 11. lol, our own Khetzal 12. Avigmaty - Babylone Beach 13. Lost Buddha - Metamorphosis

MFG is far better then AP for me, MFG managed to have superb evolution in their tracks (we are the machines!) also they created both dark ultra psychedelic as melodic goa trance... But I like AP too of course, but MFG is my nr 1 group ever, so well
-
All old Demon Tea releases (Exotic Matter, Nam Shub of Enki as highlights) Some Psy harmonics (Psy Harmonics 4!!!, various songs on compilations from Ollie Olsen) Noughty from Koyote Records Freakstyle from Blue Room, as well as some other blue room releases (which I forgot right now :s) all releases from 21:3 records Total Eclipse - Psychedelic Terrorist Ka Sol - bergatrooper (almost breakcore, but ok)
-
I voted for the best of each genre but For me it should be: I like only melodic old/new school, forest music & ambient there are some releases I love outside of these kinds of music, but it are accidents, but ok

What music are you listening to right now?
Anoebis replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance

V/A - Purple Energy [Unicorn Music]
Anoebis replied to amphiton's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
No no, this is normal Goa Trance, the nitzhonot times are over Can't wait to hear it! -
Makyo is really unique, and I love their style also... Specially the Yakshini album is fantastic... I would you suggest to check out Ambient Meditations 1 and 3 on Return To The Source records, the same style of tribal, eastern influenced soft ambient
-
I thought it was rather dissapointing... Altough Technologic blew me away big time... Among the best albums ever! Nuage D'encens is whaaaaaa
-
You did a great job Rik, great selection of artists! Looks awesome
-
woow... I wish it was, no, it's higher, really... Printing cds is more expensive, registering the songs costs money, mastering, art work, artists, sending the cds allover the world,...
-
Yes it will be available for sure at that party, just ask for it at the entrance Also Filteria and off course Khetzal will be available there
-
lol, ever heard of MFG...? They are pretty damn religious, never took any drugs... And their music... My God (literally )... Not really full on You can understand it and make it even without drugs not everyone has to take drugs to "understand" the music
-
now that's bull shit my friend Otherwise I understood something wrong for 8 years Maybe you just can't imagine some people have a twisted mind even sober...?

Interesting topic in our case (Suntrip), we never started a label to make any profit, we just wanted to give a vibe in the scene that was almost lost (and we didn't want that to happen!) Artist wise we (Me and Fab) have +- the same taste, and we simply choose between the tracks we get from different artists... For instance when we heard Khetzal we were both 100% we wanted to give THAT music to the people, no matter how unknown the guy is/was... Same with Filteria etc So we don't look at "the main stream", we just release what we like and what we think other goa-minded people will love I always said I rather release music that I love and make 100 people happy and lose some money then a full on release that would sell like crazy but not my kind of music... Later more comments, but too many schoolwork lately
