Well, I have at least 500 cds from 94-99 so I think I have a clear view on the "old school" and modern full on, and there truly is a difference imo... for me there are 4 big differences: -the bassline (that's the most obvious difference, is always the same) -the layers (modern full on acts only use 1 melodic layer... Mfg used 5!! (check we are the machines etc) -the climaxes (you can always EXACTLY say when a climax will come in modern full on, mostly they have a FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIw sound on it to make it even MORE clearly, in older full on they surprised you a lot) -the same sounds are copied exactly all the time! The high hats like GMS and the "fart sounds" like Alien Project But about Astrix, he knows the formula 100% and when you hear his tracks the first time on a party the party goes nuts, but when you listen to them at home... Well... Skipp... I even like his old nitzho tracks more than his modern full on tracks...

well, the first thing Mars is thinking about is putting psynews back up... and well, if you have any good songs you think that would fit on a new school goa compilation... Send me a pee-m (a personal message via this forum) Because I and mars have started our own label concentrating on the more melodic/morning side of trance and a contest is a good idea of course, but the chances of releasing it again are very small... (maybe you know what happened with the second contest)

one of the Transdriver tracks has a violin, slowly fading away... maybe it's that one (but I forgot the name :s)

After my trip to Finland and some forest parties, I can only say WOOW to this, and so many other Finish albums... crazy music with some nice humour Sometimes cheesy, sometimes dark... but always weird (and sometimes even an old skool feeling )

héhé, Tio Mate is GREAT... And people can still hear it sometimes on goa parties here, just as Orange Acid... => check out the tracks of tim schuldt made under the name of Talking Souls & Ushuaya... In fact there are so many songs/compilations that are gone in the fog of time... And one of the best ones for me at least are all the songs of Power Source - Cosmic Waves!!!! Superb album... or songs like Cosmosis - Dans Ta Figure Biot - Radiation Moonweed - Telepath Rhytmystec - Cathexis Quartermass - Beyond Sunrise Laughing Buddha - Tapu and I can go on forever like this

brilliant album for sure and Ra released an ambient song not so long ago (a few months) on a compilation called Energetic if I remember... And what I've been told is that he is still making music, but only ambient... which is ok for me (altough some more D5 would please the whole world )

I have heard other songs of Synsun that were amazing (Quazar, fight fire...) but probably too much goa trance to become releases... So they have talent for sure! but indeed, the album is just ok, makes me think of Misted Muppets album

Full On Astral Projection Remixes? Oh yeah! That was exactly what we are missing! WE WANT MORE PEOPLE CAN FLY REMIXES OF ALIEN PROJECT!!!! *feel the sarcasm* But ok, I'll hear first before I judge (and the John 00 fleming Rmx of Mahadeva is not full on, it's nice clubby morning trance)

I have a compilation called "Trance 7" on Kickin records with Cycles of Live unmixed on it, the comp is from 2000 so not that old... Other groups on the cd are prana, miranda, gnotr, doof,...

the vocals are TERRIBLE, really but I've seen them live 3 months ago and the non vocal tracks sounded really nice! Melodic acid trance style
