Strumpling... Sorry... I've been away from the forum for a long time... Can you please forgive me...?? Astral Mike, I have seen Man With No Name at Samothraki, and his style is still very smooth, melodic, emotional goa-trance! And believe me, belgian people would love it MUCH more then new yahel style, just like matt boom said! (ps: Matt, how are you )
-
yes Soulhunter Astronomicks is a Greek guy that stopped with trance in the mean time I also love After Life, specially those dolphin sounds
-
me rating the best liveacts on Samothraki..also very good ne
Anoebis replied to a topic in General Psytrance
musicalwise this festival was just amazing!! for me the best live-acts were: 1.) Zorba => melodic all the way, people going crazy in the Greek sun, and because there was no Dimitiri the GMS guys simply continued with GMS stuff... 1.) Pleiadians => waaauuw, only a pitty it was a bit short 2.) Absolum => véry surprising, véry powerful! 2.) Hallucinogen => he played some fantastic new tracks, very melodic, and véry psychedelic! 3.) Kox Box => the biggest surprise for me! Great stuff 3.) Logic Bomb => you new what to expect, but what you get is amazing stuff 4.) Lotus Omega => they changed their style, and became much better!! TO LUNAR MAN the Guitar track Dino Psaras played was 1 of the 2 tracks of the new Tim Schuldt EP!! -
Old-style Melodieus Bom Shankar!

Sorry Jaimz it was a reply on Lurk, I know he understands flemish! if you want to know some reviews I can translate them Bom!

everything from Bodh Gaya is véry tribal!! Abracadabra has some very tribal tracks too the rest is metioned I guess ah no... Chi-ad - first song of Virtual Spirit (forget the name => with indian chants and drums) bom!
-
well... First of all, allmost no-one went (i've been told a few hundred people) secondly the reviews are not good at all... check: http://www.psygarden.be/forum there is a thread of about 30 reviews! Enlight your head there! Bom Shankar
-
yes, there are several people here that visit parties rugalery, but mostly on the main or off topic forum People like Stamper, Mushi, Janua, Soulhunter (aka Cyrion)! and I will not go to DaD! Bom!

the tracks of Zorba on various compilations/Ep's Electric Universe - Unify

yes, véry bad just copy and past... the "famous" part of people can fly is simply copied, and then faded out till the alien project style comes back!? really 0/10, one of the worst remixes I have ever heard
-
alot but most of them are at the Senseblender or more underground parties tonight & tomorrow Bom Shankar!
-
Sorry, but the last Boom was SOOO bad on music-level that there is no doubt in my mind to go to Samothraki!! It's also finally a chance to hear some melodies on a bigger party as the Belgian ones! Bom!
-
well, i'm listening to Asia 2001 at this moment... and that can NEVER be played live!! You ever heard how FAST the melodies are!? you can not even "type" them that fast!! Anyway... Playing 100% live is a rarity these days (ok, Smooz, you do it, I know )! I think we can already be happy when an artist put some extra live sounds on top! Or takes a guitar and plays some other melodies But what I hate are artists where you can easiliy see of they are playing live or not!! Bom Shankar! Joske

http://goatrance.free.fr/reviews/brainsho.htm here are the reviews, and personally I don't like it, very funky, unpsychedelic Sun project style...
-
hmm... typical Alien project style... I just wanted to say that the People Can Fly Remix is a shame, a disaster! he just cut and pasted some melodies and made the same break!! 0/10 for that one! the rest, well... i will not give it a rating, you just like it or not!
-
KS yes, I was already thinking of that, but when you have a 4/4 full on song that is not easy you know!! And the tracks I am looking for are clearly not created by the dj that was mixing them! and you should check out some Bodh Gaya & Elysium KS, you may like some tracks of them too!! Bom Shankar
-
haha, I was wondering exactly the same! Also I'm looking for the guitar-track they have played at least 4 times on the VooV... I can sing the melody... but argh... I can not write it
-
hmm, yes... But I mean some more voices, and more spiritual...
-
I need some suggestions at the VooV there was a German dj around 18.00 on the second stage sunday afternoon playing wonderful music... Slightly melodic but with alot of female-voices! Which was very hypnotic for dancing (cuz it was 140-142 bpm music) Please, give me some names of full on music with female chants/voices!! Thaaanks!
-
Wooowwww just came back... And still enjoying it! This was fantastic, it was my 3d VooV-Experience, but musical-wise by far the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Full on Music 80% of the time, and that on a German festival!! This is the start of the full on revival! Gms Rocked our world SOOOOOO hard, people went crazy on the dancefloor!! But not only GMS was awesome, also Antaro, Anti, Stella Nuttella, Sabai Sabai and the Brazilian dj's played GREAAAAATTT full on music! I have even heard Shakta - Lepton Head (Deedrah RMX) on the massive sound-system... And what about 4 Zorba songs to finish main stage!? Also the atmosphere was massive, people were enjoying the full on revival, they screamed during every climax and hands in the air was as common as sunshine! )) I will write a decent review for the review section when I have my pictures (will take a week)! ) Bom Shankar! (haha, we have hear the song 4 times this weekend )

V/A - Digital Tribe Artist: Various Title: Digital Tribe Label: Alchemy Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 7'37" Shift : Impervious to Poison 02. 7'04" Sesto Sento : Boobla Cartoons 03. 5'54" GMS : Cheeseballs Rmx 04. 7'19" Miraculix : Stop Them 05. 6'32" Soundaholix : Drug Frenzy 06. 6'31" Mino : Capsulated Alchemix 07. 8'01" Dark Soho : The 14th 08. 7'16" Groundzero : Digital Plane 09. 7'02" Onyx & Sundance : Burn & Transform Review: Here is the 3d release from Alchemy Records, and I think it's the best so far! It's all modern psychedelic full on music, not really "happy melodic" but with lots of sounds and effects... Sometimes like 3D-vision, sometimes darker... The cd starts with Shift, the first 3 minutes are rather minimal, but then a Gms-like melody comes in which continues the rest of the song (with a long break in it). Number 2 is made by one of the newcomers from Israel, it starts with a terrible sample, but after that we get a powerful song with a somehow commercial sounding melody, not really my cup of tea. The cd continues with a very good gms-song, there is much going on in the Cheeseball remix, much more as in the original... Then Miraculix kicks ass again... I'm really waiting on an album of them, it's typical Miraculix style, many cool effects and some always repeating melodies untill you have a big climax of sound in the end. Soundaholix' (3/4 of GMS) track is rather funky and has typical Zorba-elements, but less melodic. I don't like the Mino track, to linear, not enough changes I think... But no problem... After that we get blown away by Darksoho! They make killer stuff again... in the beggining it's sounds very new wave/electro like, very dark with fat bassline and shhhhhhh-sounds, After 4 minutes we get a break with a gothic-sounding melody, and after that BOOOM, we get those typical Darksoho/Tim Schuldt Industrial sounds and haunting melodies and some violin to make the atmosphere even more gothic! Magnificent song and imo the best they have make (exept the fusion)! After that another song by Darksoho, but tjis time in collaboration with DJ Shane Gobi, it's in the same style but this songs doesn't have the climaxes as "The 14th"... But still is the dark/gothic/electro/new wave atmosphere very much present! The cd ends with a rather melodic track, nice for in the morning. All together this deserves 8/10 with a 10/10 for song 7!! Bom Shankar

Why is évery label those days releasing their "best of"! Because it sells good, and what is on those cd's!? Melodic music!!! BUT WHY BUYING the 8th compilation with People Can fly!?? I don't get the labels/artists enymore, they still sell ALOT of the old-style music, but nobody still makes it, old songs get recycled & recycled & recycled! I'm tired of that!!! Pleaseeeeeeee, release some good melodic stuff again!! the label that would release more stuff like Fractal Glider etc will be popular & big in a véry short time!!!! Bom!
