I got mixed feelings on one hand there are big names coming like Eat Static, but on the other hand the festival made a big name in Europe last year as "thé full on festival" and there's nothing left of that this year! I don't want to start the minimal/maximal discussion, but a little more full on/melodic stuff for a change wouldn't have been bad, surely not in Belgium where 70% of the people still love that kinda sound But well, you can never make everyone 100% happy of course! I play at home and at parties (héhé, check http://anoebis.plur.be ) and I only use cd... Advantages: cheaper as vinyl and you have alot of music on cd you don't have on vinyl!!

héhé, But I already have them all Elysium! ;-)) anyway, let's say 2/3 years ago I could buy a new melodic trance-cd's every week, no it's more like 1 every month, and that's not enough for doing a good, up to date melodic dj-set!! (bu no ptoblem, oldies enough) Bom!

try out second hand stores, you never know!! that's where I found it anyway!!

well first i tell you I don't want to start a new minimal - maximal war... But why is almost nobody making good melodic trance enymore!? We have to live on AP, Electric Universe, Zorba, Yahel, Fractal Glider, battle Buddhas, talamasca & Simon posford! ( haha, and don't forget our Psynews-discovery Agalactica) Anyway, all those artists mentioned above sell alot of cd's!! For example Electric Universe is one of the best selling artists of Spirit Zone! Fractal Glider was the best selling Boom! cd!! That's because of one thing... because there are still many, MANY people that love melodic trance! So, why isn't there some smart label that starts to release réal goa-trance!? I'm sure you will have alot of succes with, much more then with some unknown minimal artist! Why!!!??? Bom Shankar! Anoebis

Germinating Seeds of Doda : Ooh Bitchy Review: 3rd release from one of those already-dead labels. It's a cd with mixed kinds of psychedelic music... some songs are full on, others more D'n'B.Song 1 is one of the full on songs and it sounds very psychedelic with all kind of wizzy noise going through the track together with some acidic melodies. Second song is less good imo, because of 2 breaks in the track where the bassline changes and with an annoying noise. Number 3 is psychedelic Drum and Bass. Not my cup of tea at all, but I don't like D'n'B, so I can't really rate this song. The Manmademan is a beautiful morning track with an acoustic guitar and some tribal chants and fluits... Funkopath is again D'n'B, and so is Digitalis! track 7 has even an housy feeling. Pan's second track is something between D'n'B and Psy-Trance. And the cd ends with a 100% d'n'b track which sounds even commercial. So if you like Digitalus/Funkopath stuff you will probably love this cd. If you only love regular psy-trance and no d'n'b (like me) you will only like a few songs! (Luckely I bought it as a second-hand cd, so it didn't cost much)... It's get a 4/10 from me. Bom!

try your own style, there are already 100's of dj-ing playing boring GMS-sets... One song, ok, but not 10 in a whole set!! Bom Shankar!
