I think there are 3 real killers on this album!! Number 1 because of that rhytm-section, number 4 because it's so spacy morning-Trance and number 9 which is also nice morning-trance!! The other songs are nothing special!! I agree with Dano that he has some Brilliant singles out there (Sandal Wood, La Scream)!! The secret of this CD is listening to it during sunrise, it's fantastic!! I've seen Human Blue LIVE here in belgium a few months ago and everybody was flying... It was the best morning-set ever!! But he didn't play 1 song of this CD, and maybe it has a reason... Anyway, 7/10 from me!! Bom Shankar

I really like this album!! GMS changed their style really hard since their last album, this sound much more professional!! Good points about this album... It makes people crazy!! On the dancefloor and also at home... Also cool is the fact that there are still many melodies, but mostly very disorted and "scratched"!!! Bad points are that most of the songs sound the same and they always use the same bassline... Anyway, I would give it an 8/10!! Best songs are 1,3,4,6&9!! Bom Shankar

It's a mediocre CD imo!! It's hard, dark but too repetitive!! But ChrisACID is right about song 1, it's really cool!! I also like the song with the guitars... (6 or 7) but I must admit I don't listen very much to this CD, it's party-music and NO home-listening music!! And Daan is right, they kicked ass at VOOV!!!!! 6/10 Bom Shankar

This CD is really psycho for sure... But too many songs go absolutely wrong... But 2 songs are very good on this CD imo!!! Beauty and the Beast is a killer!! I played it on a party and everybody went crazy!!! The other good song is the last one which is downtempo and not really Trance. I would give it 6/10. Bom Shankar

GMS And Amigos - Tri-Ball University Artist: GMS And Amigos Title: Tri-Ball University Label: TIP World Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'33" GMS Feat Chicago : On A Mission From God 02. 06'57" Soundaholics : Beast Guy 03. 07'59" CRMB : We're Having A Party 04. 06'31" GMS : Bubble And Squeak 05. 08'14" GMS : Medievil Times 06. 06'50" Soundaholics : Doberman 07. 06'43" GMS Feat Chicago : The Gimp 08. 05'57" GMS : The Burp 09. 06'43" Frequency Surfers : Ride The Wave Review: Once again a new CD from GMS...!! It's a good one but I like this CD not as much as "the GMS vs Systembusters" one...! There are some true killers on it, but some songs leave me completely cold... The whole CD is in typical GMS-style and véry psychedelic!! Song 1 isn't my cup of tea, to bass-orientated... Luckely song 2 is much better... Specially that break-part at minut 3!! )) Then we have the 2 Soundaholics songs, and I must say, I don't really like them... i'm sure they would work on a party, but they don't work on my stereo!! (( Anyway, the CD start to begin good at song 5... good fast rhytm and many psychedelic layers!! Song 6 is too slow and noisy in my opinion... It shouldn't be on that place on the CD... Medievil times (7) is véry good... Typical GMS style...!! Song 8 is probably a good party-track, but once again not my stereo's cup of tea... And then... When you almost finished the CD you have a FANTASTIC killer!! Fast, psychedelic and an insane killer end!! Yes, this is how I like GMS!!! )) Anyway, all together mediocre CD, and probably not good to listen in it's whole!! But a few songs (2,5,7,9(!!)) make worth this CD!!! 7/10 Bom Shankar

V/A - Goa Head 11 Artist: Various Title: Goa Head 11 Label: Nova Tekk Date: 2000 Track listing: CD 1 01. 08'16" Element : Wilkommen 02. 08'42" D Fundation : Chicadelly Circus 03. 07'35" Disco Slickers : Hit It Right 04. 08'08" SUN Project : That's A Trap 05. 09'40" Chi-ad : Pathfinder 2000 AD 06. 09'34" Massimo Vivona : Secret 07. 07'35" Deep : Gong Song 08. 10'07" Bitmonx : Pipemode 09. 05'56" Jack Black Meets The Gab : At The End Of The Century CD 2 01. 09'51" The Delta : Supercell 02. 06'51" Tarsis : Pure Energy 03. 08'47" Johann Bley : Dream 04. 08'10" Masun : Brain Burn 05. 08'56" Psychonaut : Mind's Eye 06. 07'31" DJ Nitrogen : Killer Animals 07. 09'06" Biodegradable : El Nagual 08. 09'21" Koxbox : A Major Problem In Australia (Massimo Vivona Rmx) 09. 06'29" Deep Dive Corporation : Summertime Review: Shit... this one is BAD!!! I Never expected something bad like this from Goa-Head... Too many minimalistic songs without any spirit, without any ideas, without cool psychedelic noise... I think half of the songs are licensed from Liquid Audio Soundz, and I don't know what they are doing in the Goa-scene, they make really boring minimalistic Trance!! If you wanne buy minimalistic stuff try MDMA Records, Iboga or Flow Records, cuz that's much better... On this double CD we have 4 ok-songs... nr 2 on CD 1 has a cool bassline, and the chi-a.d. song is also ok... Than we have to wait till the 5th song on CD 2 before we have something good... Nice song by Psychonaut!! And I don't think it's a coincedence the best song of the CD is a Free Form, Downtempo-song from Deep Dice Corp.!! And here's a message to Tarsis... You guys call your own track pure energy?? héhé, you should listen to S-Range for powerfull minimalistic music... Cuz that Tarsis track sucks big time!! Maybe worth to mention too are the cool psychedelic effects on the Disco Slickers-track... But nothing more to say about this comp!! It gets an 3/10 from me, and I hope they'll recover fast, cuz otherwise this was my last Goa-Head!!!! Bom Shankar

Klangstrahler Projekt - Sinnestäuschung Artist: Klangstrahler Projekt Title: Sinnestäuschung Label: Free Form Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 10'05" Things Can Change 02. 06'56" Deep Thought 03. 10'47" Extremely Well 04. 05'49" Marantha 05. 06'47" Take A Breath 06. 06'20" Savoy 07. 07'55" Multidifferent 08. 04'57" Nexxus Review: I like this CD alot... Gero Bode makes very pure music here... It all sounds rather chilled, dreamy and tribal... There are some downtempo songs on it (1,8) but most of the songs are rather slow (morning-)trance songs!! )) Best song on this CD must be 2 for sure... Very groovy & tribal, really a must!! Other songs are also really good (4,5&7). Klangstrahler often use guitars in their songs(4,7,8), but it's more as a melodic instrument, and not for dark/Power like all the other groups those days... I must also say I simply LOVE the sample in "multidifferent"!! First you have guitars and some acid sounds and after that suddently that great German sample meaning "how many people know that you're living?? How many people know that you're REALLY living??" )) Anyway, I give this album a 8/10 and that mark is growing because there is not much stuff like this out there anymore... (( But Thanks Free Form... And Keep up the spirit!! Bom Shankar

Cybersnack - Rebels From The Source Artist: Cybersnack Title: Rebels From The Source Label: Free Form Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'03" Salambiente 02. 06'41" Bumbadrum 03. 06'13" Clubcloud 04. 07'56" Live At Tao 05. 08'19" Tribalalien 06. 11'37" Earthskin 07. 17'35" The Edge of Harmonix 08. 05'22" Fish Review: Once again a good Free Form-CD... It became one of my favourite labels now because of their strong, tribal and NOT minimalistic releases... Anyway, about this cd now! )) It's a calm CD with alot of Downtempo songs (1,2,8) and the others are also not fast at all! The style of Cybersnack reminds me of a mix between Klangstrahler en Moksha... Every song is a journey and every song tries to put you in a state of trance... And it works for sure!! Best song for me are 4,5&7!! Live at Tao (also on Goa-Head 9) is really fantastic... Super-Trancy and dreamy!! Number 5 has some strange melodies (sounds like from China) and is the only song here that is pretty fast. It has some good percussion too!! Song 7 is another story!! It's a 17 minutes during journey... Just like Moksha very Psychedelic, groovy & mature but it's a little more "sunny" than Moksha!! I give this CD an 8,5/10 because it's fantastic for listening while reading or sitting in the garden or making homework... ) Bom Shankar

V/A - Psionic Sounds Artist: Various Title: Psionic Sounds Label: Digital Psionics Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 08'25" Man On Earth : Bemanad 02. 10'21" Morphem : Degi Wah 03. 08'20" Dogma : Sundance 04. 08'08" In Sect : Offsure 05. 08'06" Space Tribe : Loopy Loo 06. 08'13" Fripic Bounce : Inflated Troll 07. 09'24" Harmonic 33 : Zombie Shuffle 08. 09'06" Orbit Constructions : Urd Buddha Review: This was my biggest (positive) surprise last few months!! There are 3 absolute KILLERS on this comp and the other songs are also good... Song 1 & 2 are the first 2 killers... Song 1 is minimalistic and véry hypnotising! That's why I like it that much... Morphem gives us a FANTASTIC song here (probably the best on this comp)! Véry fast rhytm, also very hypnotising and a fantastic building up!! And it becomes completely fantastic when some kinda distorted guitars (?) enter the kicking bassline... This song is really a must have!! Nr3 is not good, not bad, a song you hear once every 5 months... The song of In Sect is rather techno-ish, so not really my style! Olli Wisdon gives us some more old-school acid-drenched Trance but after that we have the 3th killer of this comp... Fripic Bounce (half of Subcouds) gives us a frightning night-track!! Completely in typical Scando-style (a la BotFb, Ka Sol,...)! And really marching malodies!! )) To end this comp Luke Psywalker chose a weird, typical Australian track (7) and the last song is a very chilly ambient-song!! I would give this comp 8,5/10!! (Specially because of the killers!!)Bom Shankar

BLT - Alchemic Anecdote Artist: BLT Title: Alchemic Anecdote Label: Krembo Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 09'01" Alchemic Anecdote 02. 08'14" Gravy For The Brain 03. 08'07" Crop Circles 04. 09'33" Fog 05. 05'52" Many Years From Now 06. 07'43" Elven Race 07. 07'41" Sweet Dreams 08. 09'00" Music 09. 08'01" Inhalation Review: A friend of me told me this CD was a MUST, that's why I bought it... And I must say It's a rather good album, but if you are in the new Israeli (more minimalistic) style I'm sure you will like it alot more than me!! First of all this is a great ALBUM, it is not all the same style and the same bpm!! It starts rather calm, it ends calm, but in the middle it's really fast!! )) The first 3 songs are not my piece of cake... A little too techno-ish and too boring, but after that you get spoiled(Song4,5,6&7)!! )) Full on, kicking Psy-songs that won't leave you for a long time!! )) Specially song 6!! It must be one of the best party-songs EVER!! Song 8 is very freestyle, and not my type of music... Finally the CD ends with a very magic Ambient song!! Yuli!! Good album, but beware... Don't start to make too minimalistic And techno-ish trance... Rating: 8/10!! Bom Shankar

VTOL kikcs ass!! Really great song!! The others are mediocre... 6/10!! Bom Shankar

V/A - Goa Tel Aviv Artist: Various Title: Goa Tel Aviv Label: NMC Date: 1997 Track listing: CD 1 01. In Trance : Over Seas 02. Indoor : Vertigo 03. Oforia : Dimensional Exploration 04. Adrenalinndrum : Desert Fly 05. In Trance : Kashmir 06. Indoor : Camel 07. Adrenalinndrum : God Mountain CD 2 01. Indoor : The Key 02. Adrenalinndrum : Behind The Hills 03. Indoor : Shiva 04. In Trance : Sorceress Fete 05. P Cok : J.P 06. Amir Dagan : Silver Angel 07. Guy Sebbag : Reality Values Review: A véry classic but still very good CD... This were those first unforgetable Trance-songs from Israel!! And because it's really hard to get the Indoor, In Trance and Adrenalinndrum-album this CD is a complete MUST!! It sounds sometimes old, but I don't care, those beautiful melodies are still there... Almost every song is great on this CD!!! But the standouts for me are CD1, 1,2,5&7 and CD2 1,3,5&7! I would give this compilation a 8,5/10!! And everybody who loves old-school and melodieus Trance, BUY this!! (if you still find it...)!! Very nice artwork too by the way... )) Bom Shankar
-
I agree here!! Good release for sure... Better as many other Krembo-stuff!! It's hard and dark, but NOT really minimalistic!! And Implant, I know for sure that Fungus of Light is from Holland, and Bonky sounds Dutch too... dunno for sure though... Best songs are nr.1,3,4,7,8&9! In the beginning you have to get used to the atmosphere, but specially the end of the CD is véry good!! )) So this one deserves 8/10 for sure!! Bom Shankar

OOOD - Breathing Space Artist: OOOD Title: Breathing Space Label: OOOD Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 10'25" Heliopause 02. 09'58" Ciderspace 03. 09'55" Find Your Mind 04. 09'37" Spangled 05. 08'41" Sandoz 06. 06'58" The Unwinding Mind 07. 07'25" Jot Bodom 08. 08'33" Hartley's Ambient Jam Review: This is a mediocre CD... The first song is fast but ok with many 303-sounds... After that you have 4 songs that are all the same fast style! But I mut say song 4 stands out for me (really very fast with some cool melodies...!! Number 6-7 And 8 are different... Some more experimental stuff and not dancefloor-orientated! I don't like song 6 And 7 much, but I think song 8 is really fantastic Ambient!! So best songs 1,5&8. I would give this CD about 7/10, so it could have been better!! Bom Shankar

Shakti Twins - Psychedelic Family Artist: Shakti Twins Title: Psychedelic Family Label: ??? Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 09'05" Psychedelic Family 02. 08'39" A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu (The Dream) 03. 07'34" Upward Bound 04. 08'38" Timezone (Heal Terrance Live Mix) 05. 09'15" Periodic Circles (Here Or There) 06. 08'20" Re Evolution 07. 09'31" Zorosufidobbsasgodians 08. 06'33" Ruby Merkaba Review: Some good Psychedelic music here made by an Belgian/Dutch group... All the music is véry psychedelic and contains some really cool and dark melodies!! The first 4 songs are ok, but nothing more, but after that the CD becomes really good, some good dance-floor songs with many twisted sounds... I would give this CD a 7,5/10 but I'm sure the CD could have been a killer if they would have worked a little more on it!! Bom Shankar

Concentrix - Skidzow / HiFi Idiot Artist: Concentrix Title: Skidzow / HiFi Idiot Label: Subsoniq Productions Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 09'49" Skidzow 02. 07'00" HiFi_Idiot Review: A good debut EP of a new Belgian Psychedelic Trance-group!! The first song starts rather dark and minimalistic with a véry deep bassline... But after a few minutes you have some fantastic Israeli melodies in it, and those melodies keep going till the end of the song... It's really cool because the song often changes direction and style and it keeps his dancing-ability!! The second song starts véry psychedelic and with alot twisted sounds, that continues till some guitars come in... I think they didn't had to use guitars for it!! But who am I?? I've seen in the Isratrance Top-10 that some members have this song in their top 5 so I guess it's good!! But I like the first song more!! Song 1: 8,5/10, song 2: 7,5/10!! Bom Shankar

Shiva Chandra - Auricular Artist: Shiva Chandra Title: Auricular Label: Spirit Zone Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 08'25" Shaukelstuhl 02. 08'56" Creator (Rmx) 03. 08'01" Gartenzaum Pforte 04. 08'21" Pir T Diquil 05. 07'44" Microphone 06. 06'48" Psycle Trance (Rmx) 07. 07'51" Ground Control 08. 06'07" Get Whipped On Double Dipped 09. 06'42" Future MB End Review: It's the 4th Shiva Chandra album and I must say I absolutely LOVE this album!!! I normally don't like Minimalistic stuff, but this is different!! He uses véry hypnotising beats in the complete album, and on those fat beats you have many psychedelic sounds that make you fly and don't forget the hidden melodies in this album...!! Beware... you have to listen véry loud to this album on a good soundsystem to understand it!! The songs are all rather slow (135-140 BPM) exept the last one which is Ambient!! But the songs are great for during a morning session or the start of a party (I've seen him in VooV and his live-act kicked ass...)!! And don't forget the fantastic artwork...!! Best songs are 1,2 (!!!!! Specially that melody at the end...), 4,5,8!! But they're all the same style!! I give this album 9/10 and from now on Daniel Vernuft is one of my favourite artists!! Bom Shankar

V/A - Schlabbaduerst ReKkords 2 Artist: Various Title: Schlabbaduerst ReKkords 2 Label: Schlabbaduerst Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 09'35" Vibrasphere : Roadtrain (Battlemix) 02. 09'25" Battle Of The Future Buddhas : Mr fantastic 03. 07'31" AHS : Puke In The Dust 04. 08'34" Battle Of The Future Buddhas : Sly 05. 06'51" Fripic Bounce And Daardavean : Why Did The Cops Chase The Ambulance? 06. 09'20" Signal : Lost It 07. 07'57" Ka-Sol : Stuck 08. 07'55" Phlat Phase : Pearly Gate Crasher 09. 09'31" Ka-Sol : Fairytale Review: In one word... FANTASTIC!! Never heard anything like this... This CD is made by the guys of the Battle Buddha's, Ka-Sol And Subcouds... (the other names are the results of the co-operations between them)! And this CD is much lighter than their last Schlabbaduerst-CD which was extremely hard... This one sounds like the PERFECT morning-Trance... Great basslines, hard rhytms and véry good and hypnotising melodies, and on those melodies you have those mindbending and scratching psychedelic sounds... 2 songs on the CD are more night-music and rather dark (nr 6 And 7)! But I simply can't say what I feel while listening to the others songs!! I fly far, faaar away... ALL the songs are véry good but 4 songs are simply AWESOME... number 3... (David Tingsgard made this CD because of this song), number 8 which has a wonderful melody and many deep psychedelic sounds on it... Number 2 that is fast, sunny and dark at the same time... And number 9 that is full with strange and complete insane melodies... This CD is maybe NOT from Twisted Records or whatever, but this is high-quality Psychedelic Trance and that's all that matters for me... I thought I would never find a CD as good as Twin Sharkfins, but this one is AS good... So I give this one !!!!10/10!!!! Simply a MUST for everyone, go and order it NOW at http://listen.to/Schlab Bom Shankar

V/A - Future Navigators 2 Artist: Various Title: Future Navigators 2 Label: MDMA Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'56" Infected Mushroom : Wider 02. 07'40" Tim Schuldt : 7 03. 06'28" GMS Vs Earthling : Wheese Balls 04. 08'44" Space Cat : Space Cats (Rmx) 05. 07'35" Talamasca : Telepathic Atmospheres (Live Mix) 06. 07'57" Total Eclipse : Alternatif 07. 08'27" Oforia : Impuls 08. 08'13" Future Prophecy : The Second Room (Rmx) 09. 10'54" Etnica : Trip Tonight (Rmx) Review: Good compilation again from MDMA-Records with some real killers!! Let's start with the Infected Mushroom song... it's rather soft and definetely in the "Classical Mushroom-styl" But the final is good as always!! Tim Schuldt has also a rather soft song here with lots of guitar, but I don't like this song very much... (Strange, because normally I like Tim Schuldt stuff...) After that we get more dance-stuff from GMS... This song is really good and véry psychedelic!! It's followed by the remix of Space Cats and this song is a KILLER!! Really great stuff, not really hard but it makes you fly... And then there's the most dance-floor orientated song on this CD... the Live version of the great song Telepathic Atmosphere... It's as good as the original, but the end isn't as explosive as the original!! Song 6 is from Total Eclpise and here they show that they are completely back after their dissapointing album... Many good melodies and a good rhytm!! Song 7 is from Oforia and I really DON'T like that song, it's really too soft and not Oforia-style... (( After that we have the remix of the X-Dream song of Future Prophecy... Well, it sounds good of course, but it's almost the same as the original, altough some melodies are different... And the last song is the bést song of this CD... Etnica released that song already on an EP but now it's also on CD, and I can only say that song is simply pérfect!! In my opinion it's even the bést song the Italians have ever made!! So this CD is certainly worth your money!! In fact it's a crime if you don't have it because of the Etnica song (and partly because of song 3,4,5!) This gets an 8/10 of me (because of 2 And 7, otherwise it would have been more...)! Bom Shankar

Chakra Feat Liquid Metal - Resurrection Artist: Chakra Feat Liquid Metal Title: Resurrection Label: Optimus Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 09'43" Resurrection 02. 09'27" Search Of God Review: I like this EP very much... Chakra made some real party-killers here!! The first song builds up till minut 5... There you have a fucking great and dark melody that won't let you go enymore till the end of the song... The second song is in the same style, altough it's darker and you have to wait longer till you have that great final!! )) I know these song are also released on the Optimus compilation, but I don't have it... So if you don't have those songs, you should really get them asap!! They'll rock every party!! First song 9,5/10 the second song 8,5/10... Bom Shankar

AB Didgeridoo Oblivion - Lucid Dreaming Artist: AB Didgeridoo Oblivion Title: Lucid Dreaming Label: Edgecore Date: 1997 Track listing: 01. 02'14" Parallel Universe 02. 06'32" Liquid 03. 05'39" Overtone Night 04. 06'25" Loopy Goddess 05. 06'28" Vortex 06. 06'53" Anomality 07. 05'38" Portal 08. 07'40" Galactic Guides 09. 05'37" Enter The Nebula Review: This CD is the mix between Psychedelic Trance and Didgeridoo, that gave some wonderful, hypnotising and véry psychedelic chill-out songs and some more danceable but rather chaotic, typical Australian-style, songs!! What sucks is that the CD is too short, about 55 minutes... Anyway, I would give this one 7/10 because of the 3 great chill-songs but I'm sure you can do more with Trance and Didgeridoo, cuz the didg is one of the greatest instruments ever!! Bom Shankar
-
One of my better CD's... The tracks are overall good, but only 1 track stands out for me and that's Colombian Necktie (originally made by FLA.)!! That track is soo dark, twisted and hard, and it still grows on me!! )) Other good songs are 1,5,7&8!! 7,5/10 Bom Shankar
-
I have to agree with the reviews above me... This is really good stuff!!! The best tracks are the 2 tribal tracks for sure... Specially "Xxtatikk Ritual"!! Those singing Indians make you feel like you're dancing around a big fire somewhere on the big plains in America... From the normal Psy-Trance songs are number 5 And 6 the best... really véry hypnotic style and also fast and driving... The other songs are all good but nothing more... Maybe those other songs are a little Techno-ish! But overall véry good album... 8,5/10!! Bom Shankar
-
Good CD by Shiva Chandra!! All songs are véry different from eachother and this album is a nice trip trough all kinds of Psychedelic music... Unfortunately the Ambient songs are too short, but I think that's because he only wanted to use them as break between the normal songs!! Best songs are 1,5,8,9 And 12!! And from the Ambient songs I like SPQR. véry much, I know it's véry short, but I like that sitar in it!! )) This CD gets an 8,5/10 from me!! Bom Shankar
-
NOT good cd!! I knew two songs of it, LSDance And Bionic Bong... And hell yeah, that are also the only good songs on this CD!!! It's really full with really childish, cheesy and simply véry BAD samples... Please STOP THAT!! Song 2 is nice though... But all together a big dissapointment! 4/10 Bom Shankar
