Well, the same as most old school labels do: they just put old school stuff online without any rights. They just try, catch a lot of money untill an artists really makes problems...
-
To make things clear. Most goa labels work via beatspace or Arabesque, and they put their music at Psyshop "for us". But well, its still shitty for the labels and distributors as there are big stocks left at Psyshop and at once all is "gone" for now. Lets wait and see what happens. The same happened with Saiksounds. We never saw our backstock back... I hope the Deutsche Grundlichkheit will prove better!
-
If you still want to buy cds in a shop, Beatspace is the biggest now I guess? https://www.beatspace.com/
-
Sad for sure but yeah... bandcamp took over. I hope they will send all the stocks back, as they have 1000s of cds left. When Saikosounds shut down all was lost

The new Afgin is finally out (on bandcamp friday)! If you are looking for warm, positive emotional old styles goa-trance that will beam you immediately to a tropical beach? Search no longer: Elad Afgins second album on Suntrip is exactly what you need! The cd (and digital files) are now exclusively available on Suntrip's bandcamp! There is an amazing coincidence with the title by the way. In Belgium, facemasks are no more obligated since... today! So yes, we will go for "Eternal Freedom" for sure! Tracks that you don't understand why they are big classics?
Anoebis replied to Prana4ever's topic in General Psytrance
Another one (prepared to accept the tomatoes people will throw at me) but Shamanix of Hallucinogen is probably his weakest track on both albums and for sure his most well known. Its cheesy and just... meh, while more or less ALL other ones are superb (probably thats why people love it... easy to digest) -

I think his remixes are by far his best output. He made a lot of great ones, not only Bony Incus... For the trance lovers... The Orange Theme Remix is wonderful, Greece 2000, Quietman, Dream Universe,... -
You love 90s old school goa-trance and you love SUN Project? Great news! We can give you both in a unique release! Suntrip's sublabel Classic Goa Trax presents a full album with previously unreleased versions and mixes of classic 90s output by the legendary German band SUN Project! When Matthias Rumoeller revived his old DAT player a few months ago he started to check his old DAT recordings and found these forgotten wonderful melodic, full power acidic and more groovy mixes of his best known Goatrance tracks. During the 1990s Matt produced all tracks on this album and now he mastered them carefully. The result? 1 hour of crisp and clear trippy psytrance and euphoric goa-trance! For the people that want their music on cd or wax as well, 3 of the tracks will be released on a special compilation on Suntrip later on! 1. Casio-Paya (1998 Unreleased Mix) 2. I feel (1998 Unreleased Mix) 3. The Awakening (1996 Unreleased Mix) 4. Space Dwarfs (1997 Unreleased Mix) 5. Crazy Stories (1996 Unreleased Mix) 6. At The Edge of Time (1996 Unreleased Mix) 7. Subsonic Overdrive (1999 Unreleased Mix) 8. That’s A Trap (2000 Unreleased Mix) 9. Computer Breath (2000 Unreleased Mix) 10. Energia Magica (1997 Unreleased Mix) 11. Going With the Flow (1996 Unreleased Mix) https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/secret-original-mixes-1996-2000

Tracks that you don't understand why they are big classics?
Anoebis replied to Prana4ever's topic in General Psytrance
Haha, I agree so much with the E-Rection track! I am a HUGE Astral Projection lover, but never understood why Mahadeva became so big, while so many other tracks of them were SO much better -
I hope he is ready by then! Else, we are working on a "Best of" Filteria on 2xLP Please, vote your favourites! https://www.facebook.com/groups/44610463274/posts/10161222603448275/ Ps: Dog Days Bliss was already released on vinyl (on Global Aura) and Lunar Civilization is not possible due to copyright issues... Sorry!

And after Bypass Unit, another release on Classic Goa Trax! Tim Schuldt is known, but his old school aliases are maybe even more known! For many years he made old styled acid-trance & goa-trance under so many names. Mama Indica, Talking Souls & Mono Substance are probably the most known, but there are more. In this single collection we focus on his 'hidden' alter egos only! You can both discover his more pure acid-goa crossover style he used to produce in the mid 90s and his more intense and heavy music he will start to produce in the later 90s. The tracks are lightly remastered by Kobi Harosh. You may have noticed some tracks are not included... Well, thats because in 2022 Suntrip Records will release a cd & LP of Tim Schuldt with never before released tracks of him, different versions and remasters he did from his old DATs. Follow Suntrip to know more about this. https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/single-collection-6

I look at this topic as a modern newspaper: a title that sounds very spectacular and accusing. You click it and when you read it you think "oooh, thats only it". Anyway, to give some more detail, Synsun didnt leave any label. An artist is free to give their music to anyone if the contract allows it. So they can be part of many labels in some cases (although rare). In this case we never even wanted to "fight" with Phototropic in any way, as they are clearly the ones doing the cds. I support that 100%. As everyone knows Classic Goa Trax is only about digital goa-trance anyway. There is no suing involved at all either indeed. I think they just send out the basic mail, and see what happens. And well, or we come to an agreement or they go "further" which is kind of extreme of course, but it will never happen, for sure not if you know we are talking about 15€ every 3 months, of which 10€ is for Synsun in our case And yes, as Leo/Resonantearth sais: artists are not really involved in all this. Its companies and copyrights, no more no less, and the basics for this are contracts/deals/agreements. Once signed/agreed, many artists cant do much with their music...
-
I think I can ask them to reclaim (although this was not done via beatspace) but as you say. It are massive companies, I'm not sure how much is human and how much is AI. And even if reclaimed both will stand there next to eachother (which is ok for me, really). As for the music bussiness, thats another topic. And it should be discussed one day. This online world is one of the most mad things you can imagine. Fake labels, people claiming music that isnt theirs etc...
-
Oh Come on, we have a contract and pay the artist, and its the distributor that contacted you. There is no "stealing" whatsoever. - the artist clearly said he wanted to do digital distribution only via us (He wasnt paid for digital distribution in the past and the "contract" allows it) - we made a deal with them and made an official contract. Since Classic Goa Trax they get a large part of the sales (!) - we launch this digitally via another distribution channel - This distribution must have noticed some "inflicted releases" on digital only shops/streamings such as Spotify/Beatport/... - They send their bot to you to bring it down - Its logical this happened. I never checked every shop to see what is online and what is not (there are over 60 shops being distributed!) and I trust the artists in this, because they know what happened with their music. Also, dont underestimate the amount of labels claiming music that isnt theirs anymore contractwise... And as said by mail, we are super flexible, I dont care at all how to solve this. Keep your stuff online, no problem.
-
Classic Goa Trax is not about cds. I dont want you to remove your cds, let that be clear Keep selling them! They are great even! The artist just handed over the digital rights. That is possible obviously. But thats all, and the distributor send out automatic claims when they saw there was a double. Edit: We will solve this, we are now in touch via email
-
Woow, this is interesting. It is done automatically by our distibutor. I can assure you no lawyer or anything is involved in any way What the hell? Basically, Synsun gave us the rights to distribute the music of Synsun digitally online as he said there is no deal about digital with Phototropic. And we spread it, and it was conflicted. Thats all that happened... Just drop me a line Harald: Anoebis@suntriprecords.com and we fix it in no time... People that know us, and we worked with basically everyone in the scene, know we are always respecting agreements, contracts and deals. Its the basis of doing bussiness
-
It does: There was a talk to have a single collection vol. 2 on Spiral Trax, but nothing happened for now. Classic Goa Trax is willing to do the rest, but Miranda is not in a goa mood lately
-
Actually, Trancentral does not have the rights of northern light. They share it as 3rd party. So if they upload it they dont clame the rights. They just do it so more people follow their page... The music they have the rights of is now called: Memo604

The newsletter! Upcoming cds/vinyls etc Dear Suntrippers! You got this mail because you ordered music from Suntrip Records. If you dont want these info mails anymore, just reply with NO and we remove you from the list. For all the others: A short infomail this time! 1.) New VA Compilation! 2.) Upcoming releases (CD & Vinyl) 3.) 90s Classic Goa Trax ----------------------------------------------------------------- 1.) Suntrip is back with a pure goa-trance compilation! Big names such as Filteria, Mindsphere, Triquetra, Afgin & Merr0w are mixed with Suntrip newcomers Innerzone, Mini Spacer & Party Droid! But one thing they all have in common: they create smashing goa-trance! Samples - CD/digital-sales: https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/suntopia Artwork: Bart Van Hertum Mastering: Tim Schuldt Tracklist: 1. Mindsphere - Inside 2. Mini Spacer - The Call Of The Whales 3. InnerZone - Sea Of Tranquility 4. Merr0w - Cephalopod Awareness 5. Triquetra - A Large Cup Of Chaos, Please 6. Party Droid - Into The Night 7. Filteria - Bring Everything But Whistles 8. Afgin - Solar Lights The emotional, sensitive and hypnotic melodic part is covered by a deep trancy track by Mindsphere, a spiralling morning monster by Afgin & a hypnotic floater by Mini Spacer. The acidic part is done, once again, by the Triquetra brothers who probably eat 303 as breakfast! Also Merr0w comes with a hallucinogenic acidic stomper. The euphoric part is taken care of by the allmighty Filteria, and the Swedish newcomer Party Droid, who will surprise with powerful uplifting music, plus the Israeli dragonfly Innerzone, who knows exactly how to build atmospheres! Enjoy! 2.) We are working on a lot of new stuff! Which means, more goa-trance for all of you! The exact release schedule depends a bit on artists being ready, printing times etc, but we can already tell you our next album is the second full album of Afgin on Suntrip! We hope to have it ready by the end of sept/early october. After that will come the Battle Buddhas or Filteria (depending a bit on their production time). After that the Tim Schuldt retrodelic (with unreleased stuff) and a Classic Goa Trax 2CD compilation is planned for sure! And Nebula Meltdown, Triquetra and some others are working hard on new albums as well! The vinyl updates! We managed to make a deal to print Dimension 5 - Transdimensional (with special vinyl mastering) as 2xLP, and also... Ra-9th will get the same treatment! And last but not least, we hope to have a "best of" Filteria as well on 2xLP when he releases the album! The others will need some to release but they will come sooner or later! 3.) We keep releasing & re-releasing 90's Classic goa-trance music on our sublabel Classic Goa Trax!
