I think there is still a different between 145-150 BPM dark psy and 180-220 Hi Tech... And specially the Hi Tech is now SUPER popular. They are both psychedelic, but the second tempo is simply undanceable for me. Its too fast, I can just wave a leg... not jump or trance on it... That's the reason why I simply can't connect to it at all... But as said here, the young generation is into it. It has funny consequences. The VERY big teknival/hard fast Tekkno/Hardcore scene of France (where goa almost died out) is now changing rapidly towards Hi Tech. So, on Lost Theory for example, they had 10 times more French people this year compared to last year! So, no more Teknivals, lets go to psy-trance shift is there now... Unfortunately it doesn't add much to a nice atmosphere imo... No extravert dancing, no sunlight, no smiles, too much drugs

The masters of weird music were definately Devic Craft Records... I loved them back then, and I still listen to their stuff once in a while... A pitty this kind of psychedelic music died out. It brought diversity! http://www.discogs.com/label/9907-Devic-Craft-Cordings Damn, and stuff like this http://www.discogs.com/Eraser-vs-Y%C3%B6jalka-Sense-Melter/release/75026

Some of the CC tracks can be overloaded and too much imo (sound quality?) so you have to be in the mood, but some of the tracks are simply stellar and amazing... My favourites: Different Species, the original Full Mental Jackpot (pitched up for some reason) and of course Lunar Civilization! They actually played an unreleased track on ZNA, so there is more to come... Federico?

The Remix Jorg played was the Juan, Domi & Jorg version (=> Jörg is him, so he DID remix that track) Pleiadians did not play the Antidote remix, they did play Pentagon & Full Mental Jackpot Remix, but not the Time Dilation & Zeta Reticuli

Wauw, what the hell happened here... What an amazing festival! As for the psynewsers... There were more for the pic, but we never managed to get them all in 1 spot, but others that were there: Robbelaar, Collinn OOOD of course, Elysium, Jannis Filteria... it was probably the biggest Psynews meeting ever? As for the review for me, here we go Back home with a blisfull feeling after this amazing festival! smile-emoticon In my Top 3 ever! smile-emoticon Big kudos to the organisation because so many things were superbly organised! The location was out of this world, the showers the best I ever saw on a festival, the water was available allover the spot, enough toilets and a camping without "boomcars" which made sure we only heard the great goa-trance on the main stage when we took a break! smile-emoticon Another factor that was amazing, was the crowd! I had an amazing connection with so many Belgian & international friends and goa-trance lovers from allover the world! This factor makes the festival even better! smile-emoticon Special thanks for the Belgian tribe... And then... The music! smile-emoticon I tried to cover as much as possible, but I needed to sleep sometimes of course smile-emoticon But, I was very very pleased about most live acts! Many of them did where I could only pray for... The dj's were much more mediocre, some good, but many played regular modern full on as well, dissapointing... But I didn't mind, sometimes you need some rest as well, otherwise I wouldn't be able to walk anymore I guess... Here is my personal rating 5 Stars: the one and only Etnica/Pleiadians! Maurizio Begotti, I saw you play at least 10 times last few years, but this set brought me to another world! The 98 remixes are kick ass, and the dancefloor was pure madness!!!! One of the best musical experiences of my life! 4 Stars: - Shakta: like usual smile-emoticon - Xenomorph: yes, finally, a GREAT old school set of you, and I loved your smiling positive vibe! smile-emoticon - Goblin: best dj set of the festival for me... pure psychedelic madness!! - Technossomy: I saw you several times before, always very dissapointing, but here? HELL YEAH!!! More like this please! - Crop Circles: no words, just madness - Solitaire: second best dj set, great music!!! Lots of unknown tracks smile-emoticon - Blue Planet Corporation: wauw, flying on your beautiful vibes! - Jannis Filteria: Yes, you prove why you are the king of modern goa-trance! smile-emoticon 3 Stars: - Kristian vs Jean Borelli: real old school trance, nice! - Jaia: the first part of your set, finally Jaia old school, loved it! smile-emoticon - Lotus Omega: madness, for sure when you just woke up tongue-emoticon - Slinky Wizard: good, altough some more classics should have been played smile-emoticon - Sun Project: I don't like guitars, but the show was very strong! 0 Stars: Kick in the but... Well, some guys that should learn again what old school is: Antaro... How can you play this music before the Etnica set? I couldn't believe with your background... Shiva Jorg, same message! Playing hard full on before BPC? naaah... you can do better on an old school festival... MFG, playing full on tracks every 2-3 tracks (while in Israel he plays fantastic old school sets every 2-3 weeks?), Manmademan, hard UK full on... no Drama, Athalon or other old school classics? Dissapointing. Bim, Full On from 2015, well...? But all in all: 4.5/5 festival, in my top 3 festivals ever! smile-emoticon (together with Samothraki 2001 and Goa Balkan Fanatics smile-emoticon )

Yes... I will put the samples once I am "really" back early september (as for the festivals... I am now back from the fucking amazing ZNA and Lost Theory, but in 2 days I'm off to Israel again for 2 gigs, then Psyfi... After that I will be in Belgium for 2 weeks so I can finalise all for the new releases on Suntrip)
-
I think it is a little less different (imo of course). The track on this comp is simply the perfect fusion between old and new imo... ah well, tastes... thanks for the reviews anyway

Within 5-6 weeks we present you a new E-Mantra mini album! Different from his last releases, he now created stuff under his slower & darker alter ego Night Hex! Some would say more progressive, I prefer to call it more atmospheric! But one thing is for sure... E-Mantra is a magician and this will be heard again on Suntrip! To make things clear, this will be a 5 track cd-single... like the good old cd singles! (you know, 3mm jewel case boxes like old Etnica - Plastic or Koxbox EPs) and it will be released early october More info here within 1-2 weeks!

Very Brittish? It sounds pretty damn (good) Indian! For me: probably Belgian fries with Stoofvlees (some kind of stew)
-
For sure in my top 10 for all times, i'm looking for unknown/rare or very new stuff only
-
First thing I thought Krev: what do you think about the other tracks? On a personal note, for me, top 3 compilations we ever made, together with Ten Spins and Opus Iridium

haha, I admit, I am a super fan of them, it's by FAR the best psymbient label ever for me...

Self made shelfs mostly and 1 Ikea (open) closet now... I managed to create more space again for more cds/vinyls (but, under my bed there are 2000 more vinyls, but I have no more space for them...) I added my structure... Cds are not random of course (and my drone/beatless ambient cds are in the bedroom)

Well, I would love to give an answer... but Ra is lost, really lost musical-wise... he didn't have any serious output for a long time now... We have half of an album ready, so we will have to make a decision. Or we release the 5 great tracks as a cd-ep, or Ra will do some collaborations to find new inspiration or we wait... But one thing is sure, putting an artist under pressure does not work!
