  1. It is the track on the Old is Gold video I filmed with your camera as well, right? If yes... Great news! bring it on!
  2. Nice piece of work!!! You managed to capture the essence more or less... of course people can discuss about details, but this is valuable information for newcomers for sure!
  3. True, that's why the release: "Boyd in the void" was made on Flying Rhino
  4. In the last 20 years, psychedelic music was alive like crazy, but not everyone keeps living forever of course... So, I was wondering, who didn't make it untill today of our beloved musicians? Today I heard Morphem died a few months ago, unfortunatel, as he was one of my favourite old school musicians! others that are known (at least to me) - Cosma - Alienated Buddha - Abnormal/Twisted/Nello who else?
  5. I think this is a highly personal opinion... Chasing our youth? Well, to some extend if you are 30+ there is some form of nostalgia in your mind... but don't let that nostalgia close your mind! This will result in the typical blatant complaining about the good old times... I try to stay as open minded as possible and I am enjoying the music last 3 years much more as the 10 years before that! What sound dull or copying for you, can sound blisfull and original for others... I think lots of modern musicians managed to capture the vibe of the 90s and brought it to another level! Which was my dream when I was stuck in 2003 with progressive/Full On on EVERY party. I started partying in the 90s, and still, my best party/music experience ever was Samothraki of course and also Goa Balkan Fanatics last year... I felt 20, and had the shivers the whole time, danced untill I couldn't walk anymore! So I disagree, but hey, that's just my opinion
  6. I agree, too much trolling and commenting (personal issues?) and too little music discussing and good old fun-topics! There should be some new blood... not sure how to do that tho... Maybe everyone can invite friends from fb?,

For music this is a total different thing... The owner of a label: The person who choses & makes certain cds, runs the label, makes the artists happy etc. He has not a financial benefit of it per sé... Mostly out of love. (at least in goa-trance) A manager: someone who takes care of an artist, makes sure he gets booked and he gets money for that, so it's a financial thing to earn money...

    There are several...
  9. True, what sais much about the sales of the other cds! (of course, in the case of Asia 2001 it was only available on the Suntrip shop, so that boosts the personal sales) Now, lets go back on topic
  10. For sure, not a doubt about that! Cd sales... Which cd sales?
  11. lol, the new psynews fashion... Ah well, we'll master it like with the Prana release More dynamics, less loud, everybody happy As for the date: probably around the beginning of june
  12. Things go too fast here, we only asked the barcode yesterday... but ok, what the heck Here is the tracklist! The usual mix of newcomers, and of "known" names For what it is worth, some info from my side: we start with an acid groover, in the old Emmanuel Top style, just faster... Followed by 3 acid-madness tracks! E-Mantras remix is super powerfull and Crossing Mind starts the morning spiral bliss... Both Mindsphere and Celestial Intelligene are morning stomers The ender is a pure "normal" trance track from good old POF artists! Active again, and ready for their album on Suntrip Note, the Celestial Intelligence is well known in Belgium as the "new Transwave", What an amazing ride! I will put samples one by one soon 1. Skizologic - Retrospective 2. Nebula meltdown - Deep Space Introspection 3. Dragon Twins - The Third Wave 4. Morphic Resonance - Altered perception 5. Artifact303 - In Your Mind (E-Mantra Rmx) 6. Crossing Mind - Xtatic Confusion 7. Mindsphere - Fly High 8. Celestial Intelligence - inevitable feelings 9. Denshi Danshi ft. Amtinaous - World in between Rmx
  13. There was a group called Noforix around 2000, making only this kind of goa... 160 bpm goa, pure madness! It was on mp3.com but never on cd, although there were some good tracks, anybody knows about this?
  14. If you were out of the loop, just check this 3 cds for the price of 1.5... it's among the best we released and showcases clearly today's goa revival and there is a pure ambient cd included as well From there, you can search further http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/sut/sut3cd032.html
  15. Because of some other threads, and also, because this was discussed on my fb not long ago... The hippie paradox! What is so terrible about the so called goa hippies! (and don't take this thread too serious ) Time to laugh with ourselves -They love nature but want to do parties in it (and destroy it like that), -They are against society but are on fb and have mobile phones, -They are against kapitalism but often have a monthly welfare, -Love nature and drive old, high fuel consumption and very polluting vans and buses (check the entrance at Boom Festival lol, gasmask advised) -Love nature and have car engine running to listen to their own music on the parkings of parties -They are against multinational corporations because of ethical issues, but they have no problem supporting organized crime by buying drugs. -The love to stand out in a crowd , so they plan a summer full of events with people looking, dancing and thinking exactly the same as them -They say they love music, but only pay money for festivals, and not for music... -Against any kind of mega, polluting, cheap-labor-employing corps, while going at festivals featuring equipment & soundsystems & electronics made by said corps! -Affraid of gmo and chemicals in food. Take drugs from strangers -Some are lucky enough not to have suffered oxigen deprivation during birth, then as "adults" indulge in balloons of nitrous oxide? -They try to escape "normality" because they can't stand "normal" people's judgemental attitudes but if you don't dress like a hippie or if you don't have rastas you're judged and label by hippies as a disordered person. -Loves animals, but keeps them imprisoned -calling everybody that doesn 't agree with your view a fascist -Say they are animal loving vegans, whilst walking round looking like lost extras from a B movie production of Robin Hood wearing leather boots and all sorts of suede clothing. Oh and looking awfully superior. -We share everything! I've got nothing, what have you got?
  16. The usual hippie paradox... Let's start a topic about that
  17. We have another deal, don't worry Which is better as Arabesque for instance, but for Federico it is always the best to sell via its own shop... But of course, on the Suntrip shop, there is a lot of young goa-freaks from Belgium for instance, who don't really know about other labels, so seeing them in the Suntrip shop means more sales for Federico... This is an interesting topic by the way, how to make the best of your sales as a label. it's hard to manage all yourself but distributors don't pay the total deal...
  18. Thanks by the way for your support, we never had such a succesfull launch of an album before! whaaa, I think I have to make packs all evening and night...! Amazing
  19. Here available on bandcamp as well... http://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/ Discogs will follow as well...
  20. Of course, I don't look at goa-trance as "dance-music" only, but as a dj & party-organier, one of the factors is also how it workd on the dancefloor. Not the main factor of course, as that is the musicality... So to end my input here. I heard very good comments, here some bad comments too. Ah well, that is possible with a release. We tried something different here, with this collaboration with Maturi Digital. A pitty it didnt work for some. Our next release will be "new" music only of course, like usual... Lets hope this will make all happy again. We just finished the new compilation, it will be more psychedelic and crazy the first part as usual... Experiments identify Change, isn't it?
  21. Because goa-trance is dance-music as well?
  22. This was done 1 year ago already, and explained back then... We have 11€ for richer countries, and 10€ for poorer countries (balkan, India, Brasil,...) to make it possible for people in poorer countries to buy cds as well... The main "problem" with Suntrip is that we are an official company, so pay 21% on every sold cd, while most labels are not, and really "earn" 10€ for every sold cd... Ah well
