  1. People that like their old school goa-trance more sinister and acidic will drool now! Suntrip and Matsuri digital decided to do something unique! The first collaboration ever between an old school legend label and a modern goa-label! We will release Matsuri's best digital only releases on a CD, spice them up with some never released acidic "Suntrip" remixes with Matsuri artwork and fresh mastering (yes yes, this time we made sure to have it with more dynamics)! 1. Prana - Boundless (Nervasystem Remix) 2. Prana - Boundless (Skizologic Remix) 3. Prana - Boundless (Jagoa Remix) 4. Prana - Alien Pets (Imba Remix) 5. Prana - Alien Pets (Filteria Remix) 6. Prana - Alien pets (Trinodia Remix) 7. Prana - Mugen (Astral Projection 2015 Remix) 8. Prana - Boundless (Funkygong Remix) And even if it seems like the remixes are all the same tracks... They sound very different from eachother! Soon samples and more info on this one! Release date around early april
  2. One of the best ambient albums EVER! Bam & the title tracks are pure atmospheric dark ambient... wonderful!
  3. Well, imo its one of the very few artists that managed to become better and better after every release... Something SUPER rare! Most artists (95% actually) release a stellar album, often a very good second one and then... they go down. He managed to have thé perfect up to date goa sound imo... Ever saw him at a festival last 2 years? Whoaaaaaa
  4. For the facebookers, here are the pictures https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.904991216212204.1073741835.205061476205185&type=1
  5. Moeha!!! New Suntrip Records T shirts available! Both hand painted as printed ones!! Now, available here: https://www.suntriprecords.com/products/type/5/
  6. I am entitled to have my own opinion I hope... The main "problem" for me is that I saw all the acts on this festival except for 2-3 already several times, and I know all their music out of my head, so I won't have any surprises... I prefer festivals with lots and lots of new music, so I discover new stuff... Simple as that This won't mean ZNA won't be any good, it just means I don't expect too much
  7. +1 Man With No Name - Interstate Highway: dull & boring compared to his old masterpieces!! California Sunshine - Flying Eye Land: after the amazing Nasha this was a HUGE
  8. Koxbox - U Turn Transwave - Fronfire (damn, what a BIG dissapointment that was) Etnica - Chrome (probably the worst) Asia 2001 - Abduction (such crap after so many wonderful albums!) And I remember Artha was indeed a huge dissapointment for me too, his "old" music which was freely available here on psynews was among the best tracks I heard in years... Totally psychedelic, twisted and old school...
  9. For sure: ZNA (although I was doubting a lot, I don't have so high hopes for it for some reason) Lost Theory (top line up for all genres...) Connection (the best goa-line up of this summer, you'll see)
  10. The tensity (??) of "El Orfanato" was huge... Scary and cool at the same time! I wasn't involved in a movie like that for at least a couple of years
  11. Passion & love for the music is the most important, all the rest you can learn if you have a logic & sober mind!
  12. In Belgium they are starting... i'm serious... I already saw a discussion: "yes, but Apsara & Khetzal are good new school, they are more old school... you can hear it" so here we go
  13. I'll start with it soon as well... Rip all in FLAC and put the back up at my parents place, in case the house burns down...
  14. For the ones interested in the history of the new school movement... I wrote an article about it, in the original Opus Iridium booklet (not in the reprint!) Of course there is a thin line between the new wave and the old wave... it never really died afterall. And well, the problem with names such as "old school" is indeed that cds of 5 years old now, are "old school" as well, although they are new school... Conclusion: we are all nerds, focussing on details normal people even won't hear, héhé Maybe we can just call it goa-trance again?
  15. Cicero: No one dances sober, unless he is insane. This means I am crazy like hell probably he WAS right afterall
  16. Its a Romanian guy who dissapeared completely... I rememember we wanted to release stuff of him in the very eary days of Suntrip but we couldn't find him at al... As for the music, AWESOME stuff! Altough Imposions is better for me... Species is darker and more acidic, sometimes more technoid
  17. Experiments is one of the best tracks of the year!
  18. We will release the best of the three remix-digital only EPs soon as a CD (with also some other Suntrip remixes)! More info about this soon
  19. I can bring whatever you want Just pm me if you want more, otherwise I just bring this one for you
  20. Today is the day! The release of... CELESTIAL INTELLIGENCE!! Celestial Intelligence is a new upcoming old school Goa-trance storming tandem from Macedonia! The group exists out of Branislav Dimkovski & Dalibor Anastasovski creating Goa-trance in their purest form, like the old masters! These days melodic old/new school goa-trance is offering a constant stream of new talented artists. One of them is Celestial Intelligence without a doubt. They already released their powerful vibes on Ovnimoon, Timewarp, Hado and Suntrip before, and they also come from the same city as Cosmic Dimension and Sirius (is there anything special in their drinking water?) Their music manages to perfectly capture the old vibe in a modern way! It has long floating background atmospheres, powerful basslines and snares, uplifting melodies and trippy spiralling small effects all over the place. On Psynews someone described it as a crossover Cosmic Dimension, E-Mantra & Mindsphere. That sums it all up, we guess! Also, keep an eye on the last track, as it has an extra floating and emotional touch! This cd is now only available on the Suntrip shop & bandcamp. Within a few days discogs and all the other shops such as psyshop will follow! https://www.suntriprecords.com/shop/ https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/perpetual-energy
  21. Woow, this sounds good, I didn't even hear it untill I read this review! (so yes, reviewing works!!)
  22. Ok, I have a final list. Ambient, I limited to 5 releases as I had only 20, and they were clearly standouts! Uptempo 1. Shakta - Retroscape (Suntrip Records) 2. VA - Ten Spins Around the Sun (Suntrip Records) 3. Astral Projection - Goa Classics Remixed 4. E-Mantra - Nemesis (Suntrip Records) 5. VA - Moon Ritual (Amakusa Records) 6. Goch - Sphere of Influence (Hypnotica Records) 7. VA - Epoch of the Terrans (Suntrip/Neogoa) 8. Ephedra - Journey Through My head (Goa Madness Records) 9. VA - Three Om Three (Anjuna Records) 10. VA - Analog Dreams (DAT Records) Downtempo/Ambient 1. Sinepearl - Cycles Within Cycles Within (Interchill Records) 2. Om - Viaje Al Interior (Ovnimoon Records) 3. E-Mantra - Echoes From the Void (Altar Records) 4. Circular - Moon pool (Ultimae Records) 5. Asura - Radio Universe (Ultimae Records)
  23. It depends... I remember we opened Apsara with a downtempo track of Aes Dana, and it got good feedback... in the Artifact303 album the downtempo track is in the middle... but I agree, it fits MOSTLY the best in the final part, so you "land" again imho... (but I prefer an intro as well, like that you have some nice storytelling!)
