Your favourite parties and why :) (a top 3?)
Anoebis replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
I remember I was thinking of going to Psilosiva - Genesis Festival in 2011... but at that I was uncertain if the event would really happen so I didn't do it in the end... Wrong choice it seems! -
Alien Hitmen & Saturnalia are amazing, I still play them often in my nightish acidic sets! I can't believe he started to make such rubbish soon after...

Your favourite parties and why :) (a top 3?)
Anoebis replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
Musically, hell yeah! Carbon Based Lifeforms, Asura, Aes Dana, HUVA Network and all the others, at the highpoint of their productions, playing for 30-50 people maximum everyone dancing or chilling at the beach... BUT, the overal experience of those festivals were not as good as some others for me (although the best for sure around 2010!!) hehe, I organised it with Gonzo... I remember hearing Flamycogire there the first time... and yes, everyone was sober, and dancing like crazy... Only that picture, it is following me too long now -
Antic, the mastering was redone 2 times... The samples were the first version... Let's see of the final version is ok for you... The artist and we liked it at least Else... Today, the great website goatrance.hu published an interview with our fellow Shakta.... he goes into details why he releases Retroscape with us etc... http://goatrance.hu/en/interview-shakta/ Enjoy reading and feel free to share it!

So, this is already years ago I saw this question pass! The question is simple, what were your 3 best party experiences of your life, and also... Why? For me, after around 700 parties in my life, these must be my top 3 of all time - Samothraki 2001! Why? This was the first festival where I could say almost ALL my favourites on this crazy amazing location... Man With No Name, Slinky Wizard, Kox Box, Hallucinogen, Electric Universe, Jaia, Zorba,... you name it! Lots of old school goa-trance, lots of "beginning" full on which was still great music and happening on the beach with a CRAZY atmosphere! If you want to know what I mean, watch this movie at 10.30 (!!!!) I still remember that moment, what a frenzy!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Cvj-k-bmuo - Goa Balkan Fanatics 2014! Well... After 10 years of psy trance festivals with 1-10 hours of goa-trance and being bored most of the rest of the time, I had high expectations for this one... And my god, it was even better as expected! Pure underground 300 people festival, between the trees, with only the best old and new goa-trance! Lots of music I didn't hear before (I was getting bored of hearing the old stuff over and over again) and well... The best dancing moments I had in so many years! And what a line up! The whole Suntrip crew with the best of the rest as well! Here again, this movie proves how the crowd and the energy was! And well, on the third spot probably a Belgian party (Fractal Gate) with Etnica playing his first old school set in around 10 years... I was blown into the universe like NEVER before, since that moment Maurizzio is my god... No movies No movies, as EVERYONE, all 1200 people were with their hands in the air!

He is growing and growing musical wise... he started working on an album now with his own tracks (no remixes) for Suntrip It will take more time of course, but indeed... i am expecting A LOT from him! This track has SO much power... Whoaaa!

I am total for a liberal system with a social backup for the weaker in the community... Liberalism is the best way imo because it guarantees freedom in what you do... If I want to party untill 10.00, I must be able to do that, I don't need any people telling me "this club closes at 4". I want to be free and responsible for my own deeds! Although I am not socialist in the European way at all (politically) I think there must be a back up for people that really need it (handicapped people, people that can't work anymore and partly people without a job, but only for a period of time) That is the only reason why I like to pay taxes... but at the moment I pay 45% taxes, and i'm not sure where it all goes, but not where it belongs!

Happy B-Day! Turning 33 by the way... This is the old geezers forum

Ormion, no Goch? I was sure it would be in your list, at the moment it is on place 6 on mine... Still some cds of 2014 to go tho
-
Musically mediocre imo, but good to see one of the big guys back, after TIP and Matsuri
-
For goa, the most live I have ever seen was Inner Space, he had TONS of hardware on stage and not even a lap top in anyway... impressive For psychedelic music, I have to add Eat Static for sure, when he plays live, it is madness as well

Goa is over 20 years old in the mean time. Time to have a retrodelic look! For this I dug in my huge cd & vinyl collection and decided to make a mix for every year for the period 1994-2014 to show the "new" generation of goa people how goa-trance evolved, and never really died This third mix is about 1996, mixed with 2 CDJ1000s and Pioneer djm300 (no lap top mixing involved!). It was a big treat, as many of the tracks are SUPER hard to mix. But I chose the tracks for their musical value, not for their mixing abilities. I hope I managed decently anyway :)This is the first of 2 mixes from 1996. This is the morning/sunrise mix, later on I will also make a "night" - more acidic old school goa trance mix! So, have a look, a listen and make sure to buy the music if you like it! If you want to hear the mix of 1994, please download and listen on my soundcloud! Finally, here is the tracklist! 1. Athena - Croctopus - Matsuri Productions 2. Koxbox - Fuel On - Blue Moon Productions 3. Astral Projection ft MFG - Radial Blur - Trust in Trance Records 4. Asia 2001 - Kalimba - Trans'pact Records 5. Etnica - Vimana (1996 live in Athens remix) - DAT Records 6. Blue Planet Corporation - Antidote (Pleiadians Remix) - Completely Cabbaged Records 7. Witchcraft - Whale - Matsuri Productions 8. Dimension 5 - Psychic Influence - Intastella Records 9. MFG - Maya Moon - Symbiosis Records 10. Charm - Psycho-Active - Tokyo Tekno Tribe 11. Psychonauts - Shadows of the Moon - Echidna Records 12. Power Source - Goaway - Matsuri Productions 13. Cosmosis - Deus (Benedictine Mix) - Transient Records 14. Underhead - Shubata - Koyote Records 15. Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom - The Wave Inside - High Society

Nothing Technoid there... For other examples, track 3 and 4 of Evan Bartholomew - Secret Entries into Darkness... SUPERB!
-
Fraktophon

Every time I listen to Aes Dana - Leylines, I fall in love again with this album! It is monotone, for others boring, but somehow it has a tribal, trancy feeling... I LOVE it! Who can tell me more names of technoid 'powerful' ambient I know Biosphere has some releases like that as well, and Evan Bartholomew - Secret Entries into Darkness I LOVE as well (same vibe)
-
What kind of help would you need?
-
I remember that one, mind blowing indeed
-
Lets go for another 15years
-
Count on me We'll try to have some in the Suntrip shop as well
-
Well, you didn't. We simply didn't had the time for it... Sorry, we hope to do it one day or another tho We have even more plans for similar stuff (limited dj mixes, cd & digital EPs like in the old days etc)
-
So, after the Celestial Intelligence album... we'll release a set of Prana remixes on CD together with Masturi. There's the long awaited re-issue of Asia 2001 Psykadelia of course (no, we haven't forgotten about it, we were just too busy in 2014) We had RA on the phone last week and he promised he'd complete his album for 2015! And last but not least, we're going to release a retro album by a fantastic oldschool group: Denshi Danshi. From France, one of the most talented duos of the POF era, the authors of the unforgettable "Feed the Mugwumps" is back! Expect great unreleased tunes and maybe new productions too! There may be more: Mindsphere, Crossing Mind, Ethereal, and others are working on more crazy music for 2015 or 2016.

Function 1, without any doubt, although I heard this weekend in BRasil music EXTREMLY clear on some other speakers, should check them out, but the bass-woofers alone were 24 (!!) ones of 2m*0.5m
