Shakta aka Seb Taylor needs no introduction. Since 1995 he has been taking this scene by force with his powerful, rhythmic, acidic old school goa-trance & ambient under different names… Shakta, Somaton, Digitalis, Kaya Project, Hibernation,…! Many of his fabulous 90s tracks were released only on vinyl or rare compilations, and some never saw the light on a regular release. Goa is over 20 years old in the mean time. Time to have a retrodelic look! For this I dug in my huge cd & vinyl collection and decided to make a mix for every year for the period 1994-2014 to show the "new" generation of goa people how goa-trance evolved, and never really died This second mix is about 1995, mixed with 2 CDJ1000s and Pioneer djm300. he has some bookings coming up on Suntrip events (6th of december in Serbia, 13th of december in Norway) so I guess this will wake him up for new music for sure

he is still active... Tried some progressive... but at the moment he is working on some goa again Global Sect offered to release his next album, but I don't know what will happen with that... if not, we want him too

If he would have used: Original names (instead of Sphinx & Joking or Avi Missim), used mastering instead of the terrible he sound he had, he could have been a name indeed Musically he made fine tunes!

Chi-ad - Astral Warrior Rmx is better compared to the original for me... Same with Spiritual Healing remix, it is MUCH better! Ra's Silver Remix of Time Current I like more as well... Same for many MWNN remixes... Specially the remix of Bony Incus & The Orange Theme
