Some very interesting things were said here! Lets start with the start... The "limited" editions-idea. The Suntrip limited editions were explained well in the interview... So I guess that is clear. The aim is not to fuck people who are too slow... In our case it is just music which is certain to sell only "limited" I'm sure we won't sell out easily our Limited prints, so don't think you have to buy immediate or you are "too late" All other Suntrip cds are not limited. And this means, if there is a lot of demand for "out of stock" cds, we reprint them! Like this we reprinted almost all 10 first Suntrip cds. I, personally, don't like the "limited" idea when you have a release that will sell A LOT. For instance, Mind Rewind, you should print enough copies. Many people pay now 100€ and more for a cd, which could be easily reprinted... But thats personal of course The download vs cd topic... As Federico explained clearly above, downloads are only a small income for labels... For sure in the goa scene! Which means, ordering CD's - downloads directly from the label, or Suntrip shop, is much better as the profit factor is indeed bigger. Without our Suntrip shop, Suntrip was probably a corpse now! As for bancamp, we are thinking of entering it too, but indeed, weird enough Beatspace is offering D5 there, weird, we will investigate!

I am listening to loads of "normal" ambient too lately... And my favourites are indeed Matthias Grassow (some of his releases are extremely good), Steve Roach and Databloem releases. I do listen to some psy-ambient, but only the deep stuff, which isn't that much released... Like Ultimae latest releases (Connect.Ohm was REALLY nice, I was dissapointed by Aes Dana though) and a BIG surprise, the new E-Mantra - Hermit Sanctuary is super good, deep and darkish ambient

Stylewise, this must be a Hypnagogia track 99% sure (so obviously unreleased)

I would have voted D5 as well... But because they were not in the list: the gods of typical, great... lovely goa trance must be Astral Projection imo, I can still listen their albums, 15 years later, and still love every melody!

I agree with procyon. The future is very simple: You'll have a few labels releasing limited print cds, maybe 300 or so, for the real freaks, and the rest will become digital. Will it be enough to pay the artists? Hardly... Music-releases will become PURE promotional! Once you had enough promotion, you'll be booked on parties (which still go strong) and THAT is their income then. Not the music itself, but the parties, because artists prices are NOT low at all to be booked these days...

How can you ever discover new music with this attitude? Lol... I think this is plain trolling... no talent? Artists like Ra, Crossing Mind, E-Mantra,... no talent? Yeah, of course And I agree with Iron Sun here, place Crossing Mind, Arcana, Ra, Artifact303 and Filteria next to eachother, and you'll see the big difference... I agree though that many many promos we get, are same same but different... but you'll see as well on the new compilation that will be released in a few weeks, more and more new artists are trying to experiment! And that's a good evolution for sure Can you imagine we are still waiting, after 9 years of releasing goa, for an artists giving us great acidic promos? Weird enough, the upcoming Filteria album will be more twisted and psychedelic as ever before... (like his track on Temple of Chaos) Ah well, the future looks bright indeed, it just needs time and evolution
