  1. I never had this mail, don't forget labels are often more people... Also, running a label besides a day-time job, dj-ing, organising parties, running a forum, having babies,... is something which takes every last minute of our spare time... Which means more work is not always possible, even if we really want it... I always though there were enough people that were active to keep the site alive. This website is great, whatever the future brings, and brought a lot of new people into the trance scene, I'm sure about that! So I hope you manage to find the strength and energy to renew the site often...
  2. I hope the great site you are behind, will stay alive? Sad news anyaway... :s
  3. Great track, but I don't have a clue at all...?
  4. Well, Christer is not the type of guy that works with deadlines. He wants the music to be good enough before it can be released. Simple as that Because of that it is hard to tell when albums will be ready from Ra, but one thing is sure... It will be ready sooner or later and you'll be blown away Except trancy tracks like in 9th and more powerfull tracks as well... (the acid track he played in Belgium, wauw!) And yes, he is working on ambient too
  5. Dark new goa-trance is indeed inexistant. Simply because nobody makes it (there are more labels willing to release it for sure) There was an interesting ep a few days ago though: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/61557-kuro-zombie-family-ep/page__pid__977456#entry977456 I said my point before... With Suntrip I/We are simply looking for goa-trance we like... old/new, we don't care, we just want to pick quality music. I know some of the releases after 2000 were simply breathtaking (at least for me) which are as good as the "old" releases... I would even think some of the releases released after 2000 would be top hits if they were released in 1995... But ok, conclusion: don't place music into categories, just listen to it and like it or not... And don't listen with a not objective mind to music (aah, this is new goa-trance, this must be bad) because you will like the cd 20% less... For me there is no "new" or "old" goa-trance... There is simply goa-trance. A kind of 4/4 dance music that exists out of melodies and psychedelic effects! ps: Neo linking with nazis is too crazy for words, I am half German, and even I link neo with architecture! You have neo-gothic, neo-renaissance, neo-romanesque,... Ah well
  6. Hello As most of you know, Suntrip was started almost 6 years ago. At that time we made a website, and that website is still active. But we have a problem...The website looks old in the mean time. The website-design behind the graphics is perfectly up to date, but we just want to refresh the graphic looks. We hope there is someone reading this who is willing to make some nice graphics for the site… In other words we're not looking for a new website, rather for a new look & feel. As we aren't rich money-wise, you will be rewared with CDs, Shirts, free entrance tickets and fame If you are willing to help us or contribute: webmaster@suntriprecords.com

  9. I saw her this weekend in Be, and I have to say it was pretty dissapointing. The first half an hour was great, Phenomena stryle, but after that it became worse and drier and she ended with some really boring tracks... So I wouldn't call her really "back" No new music or melodies whatsoever... She did enjoy the set alot though, which was cool to see Hopefully these kinds of sets will remotivate her to make new music

    V/A - Erta Alé

I think Cronomi isn't experimental either, if you listen to experimental old school stuff, you'll be surprised what comes out... Cronomi concentrates more on mechanic goa-trance with a psy-trance edge imo, while for instance Suntrip focuses more on melodic goa trance with sometimes excursions in all other kinds of goa/ambient-stuff (E-Mantra, Electrypnose, Ka-Sol,...) I think this is a good thing, several labels covering different territories (which, of course, are connected) within the modern goa-trance movement. About the compilation, I like most of the tracks, favourites for me are E-Mantra and New Born. The weaker ones for me are the first and M-Run, good cd nevertheless and worth having this in your collection!
  12. The winner T shirts are available now on our site Have a look http://www.suntriprecords.com/news/
  13. It won't be there... Sorry Actually the tracklist is ready, and we are finalising the artwork now so mid may it should be available
  14. Interesting discussion... And my views are sometimes the same as others, sometimes different... First of all, I do not agree to the saying that all best trance was from before 2000... Actually I think it has alot to do with the amount of released music. If you for instance love "old school" sound, you had 200-300 cds a year before 2000... Today you have maximum 20-30 cds in that style. Which means 10 times less... It would be logical that 10 times less "killer" albums are released! Which means maybe 5-10 a year? So I think it has a lot to do with quantity instead of quality... Second thing: people saying the best trance was made before 2000 are people that "only" dig old school goa-trance. I am one of those lovers as well, but after 2000 I was so fulfilled with love for music because of fantastic ambient and great super psychedelic organic forest trance... Which means some types of trance had their height for sure after 2000... And I am happy about it In the end I can only say it IS true we had a black time for trance around 2003-2004, but things are really becoming better! I said it to a friend yesterday, it is the first time in many many years I wanted to buy 6 new-released psychedelic cds in 1 month So what did destroy the trance-scene? Evolution I guess... It's a logical thing, as otherwise things will stay the same... But in evolution the bad things die, and the good things will survive, so I am sure we are going back to the good things Last but not least... The dj-ing thing... I agree with Elysium! Beat mixing is essentiel for a trance-feeling... and not doing that these days is rubbish. My 0.02€
  15. Haha, well, actually the movie was made on Old is Gold 7 last year... We invited MOS/NDMA there for an old school goa-set, and it was awesome. At that time the guys were not making any new music, but they were restyling their old tracks. They said at that time they would make new stuff soon though, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear more of them in the future. Probably more technoid/electro like, as that was their sound last 10 years...
  16. +1, and actually he played 6 months ago in Belgium aan insane old school goa-set, with lots of live synth stuff added (and yes, it sounded in tune), so my respect is high for this guy This album is not really my tatste though, but you can hear his ability for good melodies for sure
  17. I am waiting for many of the ones that have been mentioned... Goa-trance: Crossing Mind! and many others, but I'm not in the position to say names here Forest Trance: Derango Purosurpo Oneiromanix (!!) Makadam Donkey Shot Hallucinogenic Horses (it was ready I was told 1 year ago?) Ambient: Distant System Asura soundscape album Hol Bauman Ra ambient album
  18. This are some parts of the dj set of Anoebis & Ziggy in the morning of the Lost in the Light Party in Elewijt - Belgium. In the night Ra, Antarex and Vox played live, in the morning from 6.30 till 9.00 Anoebis vs Psytoad played a dj-set Get ready for euphoric madness!
  19. Simply fantastic Can't wait to hear you again this summer!
  20. Thanks for the review! First of all, my personal favourites... For me nr 2 (Mysticism), 4 (into the 4th Dimension) en 7 (Astral Plane) are my absolute favourites Second, his Daimon project, well, he is working on it slowly now, and will be ready in 1-2 years we guess And if that ever happens you probably know where to find it, héhé And last but not least... Ka-Sol was my idea... i'm in love with forest trance as well, and what is better as melodic forest trance? Not much imo! so that explains (and yes, that is about taste) Anyway, keep the reviews comming
