Upcoming GOA releases on Arabesque
Anoebis replied to Penzoline's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
And we can add Antares - Exodus there too... it's 90% ready now -
It would be a pitty to see that nobody wants to take the site over...! it has the biggest goa-trance review databse of the whole world! The people that say "I have some time left", really, running a forum is not that hard and Fabien is able to "teach" you how to upgrade servers in a relatively short time. So it's rather a matter of willing instead of knowing... So, raise your hands, and let psynews revive! (and if you find lots of moderators you may be able to start off topic again for all the people that miss it so much )

If I had a scanner I would do it... So I hope someone else can do it fast Here for instance the new cover for Opus Iridium: http://www.suntriprecords.com/shop/item/SUNCD10M/ also, if you click on the Apsara and Khetzal links, you can see how the new cd itself looks http://www.suntriprecords.com/news/

Dear photoshop and other drawing-program lovers! Because our Suntrip Records (male) T shirts have been sold out for a long time now, we deceided to make new ones! And instead of using only our own designs, we thought it would be a nice idea to add a design of someone else (or even more designs if we have many good ones)! The rules are pretty simple. Make a design of a T shirt. Of course there should be written "Suntrip Records". But that's about all Except of that you have total freedom. But there are some important things. The design can't be too complicated (meaning... No very thin lines... As it is too hard to print them). And also, the design should excist out of 2 colors maximum. No Space Tribe fluoro designs... (sorry) Like that we can print the design on a red T shirt for instance while your design is yellow or white or... To give you an idea; these are designs of the past: http://www.suntriprecords.com/product/item/TSFMDLWHT/ http://www.suntriprecords.com/product/item/TSFDBSTUR/ What if your design gets chosen? Well, you will get lots of fame from us and of course a shirt, free Suntrip cds and free entrance on parties etc Good lukc!

He played on a party where I and Filteria played last night and I can only say his set was utterly boring generic night full on... BLEH, terrible imo

Too hard to vote... It depends on my mood, but in the end Asia 2001 or Transwave would win...
-
item you paid most and the one you paid less (but that values)
Anoebis replied to draeke's topic in General Psytrance
For me: Most: Transwave - Hypnorhythm (50€) for a mint one Asia 2001 - Psykedelia (45€) Least: Paradise Connection - Paradise Connection - 1€ (7 years ago, when discogs was still unknown and ebay still filled with goodies ) Blue Planet Corporation - Blue Planet - for a salami (haha, I made that deal with Afgin who found a copy in a second hand store ) -
haha, well my house-mate said it sounded partly as ambient with a beat... So well... it is linked somehow

This time another mix as usual! No banging goa-trance here... but pure deep floating soft trance, goa-trance, progressive trance... Whatever you want to call it For sure it is music to listen to and dream and float away! (the title says enough I guess) The BPM's are all between 129 and 139! The groups you'll here are very mixed... You'll hear Blue Planet Corporation, Noma, Human Blue, Third Eye (Psy Harmonics), HUVA Network,... etc Enjoy! (just right click and "save as" http://www.suntriprecords.com/media/mix/Anoebis_-_Warm_Blanket.mp3

Well, it takes some time to fix everything again, all of the cds will have a little updated artwork (address changed, typos corrected, sometimes some other stuff changed) and because of that it will take some more time, but they will be available before Christmas for sure... We keep you all informed

In search for the most psychedelic track ever...
Anoebis replied to Djuna's topic in General Psytrance
For me the most psychedelic tracks are...: Hux Flux Degauss or Logarhythmic and the Derango and Tamlin tracks on Schizm... -
TIP Records - Goa Classics...
Anoebis replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
This is 100% a tip release! (I would have chosen very different songs...) I doubt TIP has ever heard of Suntrip anyway -
TIP Records - Goa Classics...

Mister Wake Up Call... You still have some free spots in your car for the party tonight with Saikopod and Technossomy? -
WHAT DO YOU HAVE HERE? Wow this was fun to compile. After suddenly getting backcat license requests for the next Paul Oakenfold Goa mix cd and also old school Goa Trance comps on Sony, Ministry of Sound and others we realised we weren´t on our own in appreciation for the early sounds. Our DJ´s are getting booked to play retro Goa sets. Up on chats on facebook etc we discovered that there is a bit of a revival in the early sounds that defined a genre and a lifestyle for hundreds of thousands of people from around the world. And almost no one can compile an album of these early Goa Trance party classics like Tip Records can. These 10 tunes are the real deal. Genre defining classics and great musical nuggets of history. The hard part was keeping it to 10….we already have a part 2 lined up. We then dug deep to find some old screen printed sleeves, posters, limited edition single art and white labels to use in the artwork. All packaged up with sleeve notes about the tracks. Highlights are impossible…its 10 highlights. 01 The Law - The Infinity Project 02 Sundown (Ionizer Remix) - The Overlords 03 Drop The Bomb - Voodoo People 04 Thru - Voodoof 05 Feeling Very Weird - The Infinity Project 06 Waiting For A New Life - Total Eclipse 07 Mars Needs Women - Doof 08 Out Here We're Stoned (X-Dream Remix) - E-Rection 09 Conflict - Green Nuns of the Revolution 10 Panic In Paradise - X Dream http://www.arabesquedistribution.com//index.php?option=com_artistavenue&task=singleCd&id=2348&Itemid=99999999

Well, it's hard to point at a starting point... As Anubis said, there was a period some "old artists" Like Miranda, Yahel, EU,... were making their last goa tunes, while new ones popped up... (Tranceform Records) The rise of Tranceform was for me the beginning of new school goa trance. So I would say all post 2000 releases could be declared "new school" (except for the few releases in 2001-2002 that were still made by "old school" artists who released alot in the 90s)

conclusion: the future looks bright for goa trance! Some of the names you talked about are simply amazing, so we can be sure the next years more great goodies will see the daylight! Great! and you move to London? Interesting for getting you to Belgian parties...
