Well, a question from my side, anyone heard this cd interely? http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=7729 It sounds like great twisted and very psychedelic forest stuff judging on the samples, is it really that good? is there some storytelling in the tracks?

Ouch, they lost it: All tracks on disc 1 copyright control and licensed from Iono Music All tracks on disc 2 copyright control and licensed from Millennium Records I haven't heard of half of the artists before...

Various - Marc van der Vlugt & Dry Ice - Subsonic Meltdown http://www.discogs.com/Marc-van-der-Vlugt-.../release/366144 Mediocre cd imo, rather noisy and darkish/acidic old school Various - Astronomic Trance http://www.discogs.com/Various-Astronomic-.../release/313187 I would say crappy produced rather unmelodic israeli night trance, totally not noisy and acidic as the one before... But ok, Elias is more into this kind of music, so he can help you more Various - Goa - Tel Aviv http://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Tel-Aviv/release/65786 Fantastic cd, if you like simple old school goa trance tunes with deep golden melodies! Various - Psychédélique Transition - Andromède http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psych%C3%A9.../release/183941 Decent cd, filled with acidic melodic goa trance, all early Asia 2001. Music itself is pretty good (the ideas at least) but the sound and the quality is simply OLD Various - Psychedelic Beer II http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psychedelic...I/release/55485 Early progressive. Pretty minimal boring music imo Various - Psychedelic Family http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psychedelic.../release/313419 Decent acidic pretty amateurish old school goa trance, main focus is certainly not on the melodies, reminds me somehow on early battle buddhas Various - Rabtu Gawa - Paradise Trance http://www.discogs.com/Various-Rabtu-Gawa-.../release/363648 Very good tribal goa trance, hypnotic trancy and acidic at some points, specially the last track is SUPERB Various - Survival Of The Trippest http://www.discogs.com/Various-Survival-Of.../release/362913 Very good cd, partly very acidic/acid trance goa trance Tim Schuldt style, partly more blisfull goa style Electric Universe/Etnice Various - The Forum http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Forum/release/194252 Mediocre cd, the Cybel tracks are really good though, the rest rather harsh and not so musical Various - UO@604 (Unknown Object At: Six Zero Four) http://www.discogs.com/Various-UO604-Unkno.../release/231937 No idea about this one

HUVA NETWORK - [ Ephemeris ] - coming really soon
Anoebis replied to amphiton's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
It will be huge! I heard them live this summer in Greece and this was propably the most surprising live act of the all Their ambient tracks were deep and magical, there were also 1-2 progressive downtempo trancy tracks as well... Now the Carbon Based album and 2009 is already a bomb -
He has an never released album from 97 I think, pure mad acidic old school goa trance...

Suntrip T Shirts (and the Freeze mix-cd) for sale :)
Anoebis replied to Anoebis's topic in For Sale/ Trade
IT would be cool but we never found a company willing to do full prints with full color for a decent price... -
I guess you will hear didgeridoo traditional music then? Some sticks/drums and some didge sounds or singing on it, who knows? That must be true trance
-
Another fantastic one from Israel... It seems like a contest "who can make the worst!" (and for some reason I can not post it here, so here is the link) http://217.160.138.169/pic_b/pho1cd415_b.jpg It seems like he was dumped by his gf 2 minutes before the cover was made

If you want to complain, do it here: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=53032 Also, on page 4-5 all is explained WHY the off topic is gone... And drug talk was always not allowed... If you want to talk about drugs, there are enough drugforums, or visit erowid. We were thinking of adding more forums again (not really off topic but more precise forums) but it seems like the time is not ready for it yet

That's like, what was first: the chicken or the egg? So who was the person that has put melancholic sounds on certain movies and pictures? I think conditioning is part of it, but I don't think it can explain all... Like you said, thé test would be: find a person that never heard music in it's life and ask him... But does that kind of people exist?

What have psychedelics done in your life?
Anoebis replied to Astrognomix's topic in General Psytrance
It is not. The rules are clear. Why? Because the moderators are responsible of what is written on this forum, and it is illegal to take drugs. Simple as that. Ps: and the moderators here are as sober as you can imagine -
Great album indeed! A little less "filled" as most goa trance indeed, but the sounds and melodies that are left are perfect! Favourites: Viral Spiral and title track (so dreamy and deep!)

Cosmosis - Fumbling for the Funky Frequency
Anoebis replied to a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
The cover is great... But I guess that's all the positive I can say about this I say him live 2 months ago, playing his new tracks, and expect guitars everywhere... he even went ON the turning tables to "rock" on the guitar, I was so dissapointed -
This was inspired by a topic on a Belgian forum, but anyway how come that sounds work on your emotion? Why is a melody played "down" more sad, and a melody played "up" more happy? is it just because we link it with things we saw on television? Or is there another reason? What is the (scietific) proof of sound on emotions? Shoot I want to learn about this!

most German progressive around 2001 tend to be more technoid... Stuff like Intact Instinct, Disco Slickers,... you will like Also most of later Atomic Records is pure psychedelic Techno (stuff like Semsis)

Albums that are just "psychedelic" not genre-pigeonholed
Anoebis replied to karan129's topic in General Psytrance
Schizm! Pure psychedelic music that doesn't fit in any category -
Dead Can Dance - Yulunga (yes, I did know a track with cool female vocals!)
-
You are definately an exception (just like me btw )
-
I'm sure it will be hard year for many labels (also for us), and for many people financially globally... I guess the first things you let go when you don't have money is stuff like cds... Let's hope the financial crisis will vanish soon so people buy all their cds "that they wanted but couldn't afford back then"

+1 And track 1 of the myspace sounds not so good imo (why a sample that sais the alphabet?)
-
+1 And if you are sure he is selling bootlegs, you should contact ebay...
-
MWNN - Teleportation Scrambled Heads And well, I will order soon lots of ambient on saikosounds I think
-
Well, some of their albums are nice I think (Blue Vortex, Andromeda, Chromosome, Soul Surfer) but I agree, mostly it is just commercial, and not even good music, promoting the German scene...

What music are you listening to right now?
Anoebis replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Eraser vs Yojalka - Round 1 Still one of the best suomi-albums ever made!
