  1. I'm thinking the modern goa trance is partly going into more melodic directions to be honest, if you see how many euphoric, sometimes of the edge of Nitzhonot is being produced these days, it is more then "back in the days"
  2. And this is the English version of the Greek Freeze Magazine (to be clear: made by us, the original one is in Greek) http://www.suntriprecords.com/media/misc/S...cember_2008.pdf All info about the Mix-cd included is now ok as well on discogs: http://www.discogs.com/release/1596640
  3. These are the ones that are left: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pS_...qh-DnZlLGy5fPHg
  4. +1 Actually for me it is all goa... I know new school tracks that sound like pure old school and the other way around... So making a definition is not really possible except for this one: melodic goa trance made in the new millenium... But I would prefer the word goa instead of new school anytime
  5. well, I and Fabien only designed the compilations of course... The others are decieded by the artists mostly, but I think most of them look good (altough I agree Ra is maybe not the best )
  6. Miranda of course Other question: The sample out of Atmos - Klein Aber Doctor: from what kind of movie is it?
  7. I agee with most of the people here: Lots and lots of mediocre stuff, but there are some hidden pearls like Space Dwarfs and I Feel I love them both, among the best goa trance tracks ever I think
  8. the artwork of the cds simple? I think it is one of the very few covers today of an artists that worked for 1 month on a single cover! The painting for Opus iridium for example is 2 by 2 meters or something in real, and it actually is super detailed... Maybe it is not your style, ok, but certainly not simple.
  9. @ Ormion: I WAS wearing one I probably met you on the right day, where it was filthy already, haha
  10. you mean the size of the T Shirts? S-M-L-XL and XXL, I will ask Fabien to mail me the exact cm if needed (they are at his home at the moment)
  11. The pollution part of the discussion I can go deeper in, but I won't, let's write my conclusion in 1 sentence: we all polute anyway, simple as that... All the rest is probably off topic But then... Woow, I can not believe what you wrote here...: Let's see, that must be music for a music label It sells less, I know some of the sales of individual releases ONLY released for download via payment. Lets have an example. Carbon Based Lifeforms single or the E-Mantra one, how many you think were sold? Those groups have a fan base, but sold 10 times less, or even more, then cd. First of all: hiring people? With what money? The profit of a label? of course... Second: many people thought about the collective, but it is harder then you think (what explains why NOBODY did this untill now), why is clear: both financial as on the human side third: lazy asses? You don't know what you are talking about. We are doing nothing right? I have NO reason to go 100% digital (see above) and I am very happy with Arabesque, they do their job and they pay. So why chance what is good? If your sales drop dramatically (1 out of 15? maybe 1 out of 10 cds) artists will earn LESS. And we have the money to make more records. We just need enough quality music, what takes time.
  12. So, you have a car and eat meat etc...? The fact that you live a warm place has nothing to do with the fact that you pollute I think. (as even in Spain you will have to warm you house) And well, everyone in the west is a pollutor, but I do know I pollute much less then the "average" guy, I do all by bike, take the train allways, etc etc, but ok, that's just my choice of living. Some plastic boxes won't make the difference, when the boxes are broken I put them in the plastic recycle bin anyway (and the paper booklet at the paper recycle bin, so not SO much junk is left), just the cd itself. Well, enlighten me? Both I and Fabien had our moments that we said "now it is really becoming TOO much", we are doing both 2 jobs you know... And what does THIS have to do with cds? If tomorrow cd stops to exist, I would release as .WAV or whatever, that has nothing to do with running a music label. I will keep running it, even when the cd is gone... if I have the time on a personal note I LOVE cd, and that's my personal feeling, even if I am the last one on earth i would buy them if possible.
  13. Selling online is in the making About the use of Distribution... It depends on how much of a life you have next to a label I guess... We really can't deal with even more work... The day Suntrip stops is probably because we are too busy to run it , instead of a financial crisis to be honest (in other words, let's hope we don't have children soon) The argument of "nature" is bull shit imo when it comes to cd... UNLESS you warm your house with wood, you have NO car and you eat only non-manipulared food and no flesh
  14. well, compared with 10 years ago sales are bad, and when you have an English distribution company who pays you in Pound (which is now worth 30% less then 1 year ago due the economic crisis) many more goa/psy/ambient labels will go bankrupt soon... Watch my words...
  15. Some article about digital vs CD... At this very moment... For every 16 cds that is sold, 1-CD download is sold, also vinyl is coming back (because people like to have something in their hands?) ccording to Nielsen, consumers purchased more than 1.51 billion music products (albums, singles, music videos and digital tracks), which is a 10.5% increase over 2007. Physical media sales were down by 14%, while digital single sales climbed by 27% to 1.07 billion and digital album sales were up by 32% to 65.8 million, the market research firm estimates. The three most downloaded tracks were Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis, 3.42 million units), Lollipop (Lil Wayne Feat. Static Major, 3.16 million) and Low (Flo Rida Feat. T-Pain, 2.98 million). The artists that sold the most digital music in 2008 were Rihanna (9.9 million units), Taylor Swift (8.79 million) and Kanye West (6.88 million). The most successful Internet albums were Metallica’s Death Magnetic (144,000 units), Little Bit Longer (Jonas Brothers, 119,000) and Viva La Vida (Coldplay, 112,000). Surprisingly, vinyl albums made a comeback in 2008 and an 89% increase in sales from 990,000 to 1.88 million. The top albums were In Rainbows (Radiohead, 25,800 units), Abbey Road (Beatles, 16,500) and Chinese Democracy (Guns ‘n Roses, 13,600).
  16. He is making very good music, definately We will keep an eye on him! Ashram was fantastic! ps: beware with terms like "a god", an artist is only a god when he manages to create 2-3 fantastic albums imo (or if you take it literally, when you have a name of a God like Ra, haha)

  19. Chilling out with the more then fantastic Biosphere - Substrata album
  20. Crop Circles (the limited edition) K90 album Imago - The Spirit Dance
  21. It's like minidisc I think, some tests, but it won't take over the market... Digital vs CD will be the future I think, I think there will be enough collectors to keep CD alive, and another part will choose for digital files only (wav's of course, as with todays prices for a terrabite there is no use for other formats any more)
  22. Don't forget we are 2 guys Also I think every music has it's moment and time... Filteria on a dancefloor = madness Crop Circles as well, but for listening it is a different story...
  23. Can you believe I heard nothing else then Trance/ambient during a whole year? Is there someone who can recommand some good "normal" trance of dreamtrance of 2008?
