Nice list! I agree with almost all cds from <2000!
-
Healer is indeed fantastic... His progressive was indeed smooth and warm, but some more clear and more melodies are wanted to make it really interesting for me
-
I start to feel sad that I won't come... The point is I was a little dissapointed about London parties last few years because I need 1m² to dance properly and in London it is usually something like 20cm² IF you use your ellbows... But the line up looks damn good anyway!
-
I am happy to hear not only a full on bassline in their tracks... And with my "normal" trance roots I can only say stuff like "Burning Up" I liked alot, so I don't mind a little more "normal" trance made by them... It made me curious for their Open Society album

New school gems that never got the recognition they deserve
Anoebis replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
I will start in 2004... 2004: Luomuhappo - Pog-O-Matic Pogomen 3000000 For me still one of the best suomi cds ever, funky, happy, positive and weird! 2005: Ghreg On Earth - Sigilweaver Great industrial feeling, straighforward and powerfull! 2006: Unstable Elements - Technical Illusions I agree with ormion, very good ambient Zero Cult - Art of Harmony Trance ambient with an emotional and sometimes "normal" trance touch, but I like it alot Electrypnose - Subliminal Melancholies It got some attention, but not what it deserved! It is in my top 3 best ambient albums EVER, period 2007: Sattle Battle - Sounds Cool One of the best suomi cds ever 2008: Goa Times Great selection of classics and the liquid flow track blew me away big time, a pitty about the way too cheesy last track Irezumi - Endurance Fantastic deep cold and emotional ambient Gus Till - Aquana More melodic ambient, but very good for sure -

New Talpa album on Sundance
Anoebis replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
well, I heard early november... We'll see -
I agree with the others here... The artwork and cover are beautifull (like all the other releases of the label) but the music didn't manage to grab me completely, some tracks seem a little too boring or without direction, some nice tracks in between as well of course, but unfortunately forgettable on the long term, the Evan Bartholomew albums were indeed better... (specially the "dark" one)

Very good music, sounds indeed very much like Ultimae, altough a little more concentrated on beats and rhytms then Ultimae... They use the spacy, heavy sounds a little more. Melodies are very similar tho The only negative thing about this album is that it maybe sounds too ultimae (copycat), but well, never enough of such good music so it doesn't matter

Artist: Talpa Album: When Somberness Becomes A Game Label: Sundance Records Catalog: SUNDCD037 Release date: TBA Format: CD Tracklist: 1. Moronic evil rmx 2. When the somberness becomes a game 3. Awakening 4. I feel nothing 5. The world without me 6. No choice 7. Little pink elephants 8. Good city 9. Still dreaming 10. Lullaby for ms ivon 11. Frock Release notes: The long awaited 2nd album from Serbian trance master TALPA is finally here. After many years in the studio, Talpa has finally found his new sound that he wishes to present to the world of trance. Goran, aka Talpa has outdone himself with an amazing new sound that is totally unique to his studio. Never resting on his previous abilities, Goran has shown us once again that there is no one quite like TALPA. Playful fun melodies over hugely fat & funky basslines combined with the tightest percussion guarantees this is a seriously a new direction for psy trance every step of the way and its totally psychedelic. From tear jerkers to crazy fat fun, from peaking trance to ultra chill it's all here in a genre busting masterpiece. If you have been waiting for a new sound in psy-trance, look no further, this is sheer uniqueness.

I will check soon for you

Agneton - Horizon In Your Head
Anoebis replied to Agneton's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
succes with the album Elias -
yes, they tried to remove, but they didn't manage... luckely
-
well, but you do see the problem I guess? Psynews was hacked twice in 1 month, clearly both times connected with off topic and banned members... They tried to erase ALL... I mean, that's not worth it anymore... Maybe next time they succeed and there is no psynews, no reviews no nothing anymore... if you are lucky a part about culture and Science will stay alive tho... In case that interests you...?
-
Yeah, the site was hacked, and they wanted to remove ALL content of: psynews suntrip.com filteria.com Psysurfeur Which is really a BAD thing to do, this happaned 1 day after re-opening off topic, which was a clear signal I do hope the cultural/spiritual section and the Science/Tech section will stay alive tho... but ok, we can be happy it is back here and running!

Why are goa/psy labels participating in the loudness war?
Anoebis replied to Isao's topic in General Psytrance
Actually you should hear the original Khetzal file, it is SO terribly soundquality wise that we were ultra happy that it was almost unnoticable... He made that music long before he was aware of all details of mastering and finishing the sounds... So this is at least an album where you can say that music won far above the soundquality... -
Ask the artists directly, some of the artists simply don't want their real names to be credited... We had it before
-
For me: Khetzal - Avasari Vibrasphere - San Pedro Beach Buddha - Glass Voices Battle Buddhas - Marshmellow Paradise Connection - Source of Emotion Etnica - Trip Tonite (you simply can't deny it) and soon: Merr0w - Blue Planet (oh my god, for me it's as good as Avasari, same style, deeply emotional melodic)
-
Amanite FX, they only made Superb fantastic tracks, and they seem to be forgotten completely...
-
What music are you listening to right now?
Anoebis replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
I'm wading through my pile of vinyls for once, now listening to Somaton - Dredlarks EP, which is really awesome acidic goa trance -
Lol, how do you think that our label works? We are actually not requesting ANYTHING from our artists... We never said to an artist "make this or that"! The most important thing about music is freedom and creativity, something that can't be reached if you tell an artist WHAT to do, as he is not free then... if Filteria wants to make a breakbeat album tomorrow, that's fine by us, he should do so, we will never say "no", we would only say "label X or Y" is more suitable for your music... So in the case of Khetzal, as he didn't make any new music, how should I know what he will make? An artist makes what he feels at that very moment, and we will see what that will be...
-
He just made his studio ready again to make new music, what that will be is unclear tho... Ambient, goa or melodic full on? Time will tell...
-
California Sunshine is -of course- remastered And I agree, Ra and this one will be very "morning" Merr0w will be more crazy madness, lots of layers and deformed melodies, not softish and blisfull at all... Summary: very Intense music, I promise So we still try to release all forms of melodic goa trance
