  1. hehe... Still here, still addicted
  2. yes, but mostly of old albums and new ambient ones...
  3. I like a review not too long, lets say 20 lines or so... Also, I think it is important to say how it sounds like, and compare them with other groups so you know what to expect (this is very important as words as "this is a masterpiece" are meaningless if you don't know what type of music it is!) and I will write some reviews soon as well
  4. Atmos - The Only Process Human Blue - Sandal Wood And well, I'm still looking for this kind of soft melodic progressive, but can't find the last 2 years... HELP ME
  5. Here my top 5 (thanks to my special rating system), because of that Goasia and Sattle Battle get EXACT the same amount of votes and same for Twist Dreams and Trold! Trance: 1. Dimension 5 - Transdimensional 2. Transwave - Backfire 3. Sattle Battle - Sounds Cool 3. Goasia - From Other Spaces 5. Twist Dreams 5. Trold - Time of Illusion Ambient: 1. Chronos - Steps to the Great Knowledge 2. Asura - Life² 3. Sync 24 - Source 4. Audela - 39 Mysterions That's it, I will listen to the other ambient cds more soon...
  6. Here is a preview from the booklet from Opus Iridium (that will be released 14th of march)... On that cd Ethereal for instance will be as you know (www.suntriprecords.com) Anyway, I in the booklet I made an overview of all goa trance releases in the new millenium, year by year... So here is the overview of 2007, maybe there is something you didn't know about yet: 2007 was the year of the mp3-revolution for new school goa trance. Many new artists promoted themselves this way and caught the attention of cd-labels, not yet resulting in a lot of new cd-releases, but hopefully that can happen later! But it’s clear the “new school” movement is starting to become a scene within the scene. Not so many cd’s were released in 2007, we had Twist Dreams, Goasia – From Other Spaces and Dimension 5 – Transdimensional re-release from Suntrip Records, Pure Planet 2 from Kagdila and of course Transwave – Backfire with some great unreleased tracks from them. A great re-release compilation was Retrodelic Vibes 3 on Avatar Records. The amount of mp3’s is much higher, from Metapsychic we had the albums of Vox – Innerpolarity and Mindsphere – Inner Cyclone, also the Human Hyperactivation compilation was on the same label. In Israel the “old is gold” group released the Golden Vibes 1 and 2 compilation. Ektoplazm from Canada released two great EP’s from New Born – The Trip of the Luna King EP and the Observer EP, and Shivlink also released an online EP from Liquid Flow called Goa Terminal. There were also tons of artists putting stuff for free on the net. 2 of them made remarkable great goa tracks in the past and gave them now away for free, Synsun and Artha. Many of the mentioned downloads can still be found on www.ektoplazm.com site, have a look there! Last but not least we will mention the revival of Flying Rhino Records. On their website, they have a lot of old goa releases downloadable for free, because many of the old cds are very hard to get (or super expensive).
  7. This is a very good ep indeed, a pitty it was never released for real... mp3's usually end up somewhere on my HD and that's it :s
  8. for some reason the .ogg files don't want to work here today either, altough they did in the past? argh, anyway, at first listen best tracks were Travma and Astrancer and Artha (but that track was already spread before), Cyan was too cheesy imo and some of the other tracks lack some depth imo, but I should relisten
  9. Actually the cops were really nice to be honest, they could behave much worse... THe reason why D5 is getting pushed there is because they were not even able to stand on their feet anymore and walk away on a normal maner... The cops gave everyone the opportunity to leave without controlling bags/blood whatever, so I think it was ok the way they reacted... A shame though that this party did NOT happen... But next year there will be another one, I'm curious, and I will try to make another great line up in the goa trance room
  10. well, for me it sounds like house/minimal/electro no idea where the trance beats and the warm melodies are... no kidding, if this gets such an attention there must be no more problem to write reviews of all my old 95-97 trance cds, as they are closer to psychedelic trance music then this album... The day I hear this on a psy trance party, I stop partying... Fabien was right in the other topic, Psychedelic music is dead, except for some spasms here and there... We always say alot about progression of music, about new influences, bla bla, but this is simply commercial disco music, so regression instead of progression... all imho of course, before I get killed for what I say here
  11. Aha, Ayla - Nirwana is fantastic... Any more albums you could tell me in the "normal" trance scene that sound like Ayla - Nirwana? This is exactly the stuff I am looking for

    Ticon - 2AM

Another big mistake... I though to check this one out together with Solar Fields - Earthshine... Just to have a look where progressive is going these days, as everyone was talking about it as if it was pure gold... Unfortunately I can not say I like this at all, it is pure minimal electro with house influences... not even worthy to be on a psychedelic trance forum... It is just because they used to make this kind of music, but today, they grew to something totally different, something I dislike with a passion... not 1 single track I liked
  13. I gave it many many listens, and altough I mostly like dreamy melodic progressive (like S-Range, Human Blue, Matenda, Noma,...) this one was totally NOT my cup of tea I hate to say this, but this album simply sounds boring and mediocre, except for 1 tune: Adjustment, which i absolutely love... Reminds me somehow of LSG - Fragile Part 2, but much harder... And except of that I have no favourites at all, I only listen to that track these days... I re-tried and retried as everyone was so euphoric about it, but lol, tastes can be different it seems :s 2/5 thanks to the fantastic Adjustment
  14. Didn't find any big pics of it :s but this one is sooo nice

  16. well... I love ambient as much as goa trance... And it became more important last years for me as I have the intense obsession to have NEW good music all the time, and if I can't find it within the uptempo music, I end up for sure in the downtempo music! Also, it's no coïncedence the second cd of Opus Iridium is ambient you know it were not random picked tracks we had "accidentally" And as Abasio said... there are some ambient mixes of me floating around as well, I play it often on parties AND the 7th of March I will organise an ambient/downtempo ONLY party for the release of Opus Iridium And the samples of this album were very nice... I wanted to order on saiko, but it was out of stock already so I bought 2 ones here
  17. lol, then you found even more... The answer on track 6 was actually Warlock... He made several goa vinyls and later on became super commercial and made a rmx of one of the famous Vengaboys tracks... Anyway, great to see so many answers were found!
