  1. Amazing music from this guy. never ceases to amaze me
  2. True Will you be in Hyderabad by any chance ? there are lots of over night buses that leave for goa , multi axle Volvo ones in case you are interested . they are pretty comfortable and safe. Although this isnt the right time to visit since season is over but if you still want to go because you will be in India and dont want to miss a good opportunity to visit the mecca where it all started , then i would say go for it! Go with zero expectations and you will not be disappointed
  3. I have been listening to a lot of Dreamhub lately .. the album "Moments in space" has some wonderful soundscapes. Peaceful and relaxing ambient.
  4. I added D5 and Juno reactor to the poll , i assume all the "Other " votes went to D5 .. I noticed there was one for Juno reactor as well .. ah well , we could subtract one vote from D5 and add one to Juno unless the person who voted for Juno in others votes again.
  5. New album coming out soon http://pitchfork.com/news/50463-boards-of-canada-new-album-tomorrows-harvest/
  6. Not talking about personalities here just the fact that they managed to create beautiful and priceless art which is a thing of joy forever.
  7. well any one who creates anything can be called a god and to add to the fact that some of the albums created by these guys are worth worshiping
  8. Thats the point i want you to select one! would be cool if everyone could write a line or two about the artist(s) that they choose
  9. So guys i thought it would be interesting to know since we are all goa trance freaks over here, who according to you guys was/were the artists (pre 2K) that made you feel like yeah this is what i have been waiting for all my life .. ok a little over the top maybe but you know what i mean For me it was MFG but i discovered them too late.. project genesis was the sound that i had been searching for .. futuristic , hypnotic , slightly dark and full of drive but yet had the signature Goa trance melodious feel from back in the day . I just had such a blast listening to it the first time its just beyond words to describe. What about you guys ?
  10. First one is more like it.. the second track sounds like it was made by a metal fan.
  11. I get my tags from last.fm .. maybe im wrong but it does sound llike hard techno to me.. yes it was about #2 , #1 sounds very dated and boring. just because there are some vocals doesnt make it pop - either ways is there a subgenre as poptechno ? ok
  12. sorry if there is already a topic, if there is would request the moderator to merge the two. looking for head banging , booty shaking techno like sims
  13. anything pre 2k is Goa for me .. but yeah Hux flux was the twisted dark precursor to that scando Stone age sound so again cant really pigeon hole it as strictly GOA.
  14. Apples and oranges really. Old logic bomb is more on the minimal side but highly psychedelic and new logic bomb is more full on . I had no idea that it was side project of hux flux which is goa no doubt. Funny you mention LB as i could never really get into Headware and gave it a spin today.. its as if i was listening to it with new ears.. KILObytebandit is one of the best psychedelic tracks ive heard that is not goa . Yes there are elements of goa but LB combines it with all sorts of full on , minimal elements giving it well rounded sound that is hard to put under a single subgenre .
  15. yes yes yes.. what a beast of a track... it grooves me the fuck out
  16. brought a smile to my face ... the first three minutes are divine . So much emotion and power in that melody .. just amazing. Who is going to be kind enough to post tracks of a similar nature ?
  17. Thats why they say "Dancing is a vertical expression of a horizontal intention "
  18. I really dont know what to say. He was quite a friendly chap... i even promised to meet him whenever i visit Belgium. I was really looking forward to meet him IRL. anyway such is life, business as usual. Nothing stops for anyone and anything... Im sure he is happy wherever he is. RIP bro
  19. The best oldschool project for me. The first time i heard them i was literally , blown away. I couldnt believe what i was hearing when i played project genesis for the first time. Awesome spiritual experience . I wish music these days had the same kind of dark spiritual energy that MFG has . I love them.
  20. Music for the soul. His tracks are very engaging. Love this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKf0-A2EGzE
