  3. He said you will sentence me to six years in prison.
  4. 0% fails to contradict itself , using your contradiction argument : Lets say you say that the answer is 0% . Let's suppose that that is correct. Now let's suppose that you pick one of A, B, C and D at random, with any probabilities you like. If you choose A you get the answer wrong, since A says 25% but we're assuming that the answer is 0 %. But if you choose C you get the answer right. One of the four possible outcomes of choosing A, B, C or D at random, in this case C will lead to you getting the right answer, namely 0%. Therefore the probability that you get the right answer is 0%. Hence the answer to the question "If you were to choose one of the below answers to this question at random, what would be the chance that you got it right? A) 25% B ) 50% C) 0% D) 25%" is 0%. And that doesn't contradict our assumption that the answer is 0% So that assumption must have been correct. So basically in the same vein all the given options can be correct which obviously isn't the case.
  5. I was referring to your assumption argument and not to your original one. Thats a mystery.. i will have to get to the source of it and get back to you on this.
  6. Lets just agree to disagree on this , you are referring the question to itself - You are taking those choices itself to be the odds of selecting the right answer and when the actual chance of selecting correct randomly one of the choices isn't the same as one of the given answers you allege that it is in fact 0% or none of the above since it doesn't figure as one of the choices, while im assuming the correct answer lies in one of the choices and that there is a second question which those answers refer to. Apples and oranges.
  7. I cant think of a more attractive woman ..she just takes my breath away.
  8. I guess its only logical to assume that there is a second question, where did those %'s come from otherwise? The question only asks what is the chance of randomly selecting the right answer , but to which question are those answers answers to is what the question doesn't answer so we will have to assume its some phantom question . I would still stick to classic probability and not get swayed by the trickiness of the question . Also i don't get how i contradicted myself, i still stick to 33.3%
  9. Rotwang you are stopping at randomly selecting but not pursuing "choosing randomly and correctly" ... in the sense the probability of selecting 25% as the correct answer yields a probability of 16.67 % and not 50 (1/2*1/3) .. and if you were to calculate the probability of selecting the right answer it could either be 25, 50 or 75 , by adding another 25 gives you the illusion of another choice but actually there are just three to choose from . Framing the question another way : If you were to choose one of the below answers to "which pet do i have at home?" at random, what would be the chance that you got it right? A) Monkey B ) Monkey C) Monkey D) Dog E) Cat Now just because monkey is appearing 3 times doesn't make it any more or less likely to be the correct answer than Dog or cat , right ? Each has an equal probability of being the correct answer but BUT because it appears thrice it makes it more likely to be the right "selection" (3/5*1/3) = 20% as opposed to the other two (1/5*1/3) = 6.67 % Much more interesting is if we were to ask the same question in terms of flipping of a coin , if we had 999 heads and a 1 tail and i asked the you the chance of randomly selecting the right answer, what would you say ?
  10. I was thinking about this : since there are only 3 distinct answers and each one is equally possible, the overall probability should be independent of how you reach them (i.e. how they are organized in multiple choices). So overall probability of hitting the right answer should be 1/3.. just becuase 25% appaears twice doesnt reduce the probability of it being wrong Probability of 25% being the right answer is 1/3 and probability of you picking A or D is 1/2 Probability of 50% being the right answer is 1/3 and probability of you picking B is 1/4 Probability of 75% being the right answer is 1/3 and probability of you picking C is 1/4 So, overall: (1/3*1/2) + (1/3*1/4) + (1/3*1/4) = 1/3 ~ 33.33%
  11. Post your favorite forest tracks This one from V/A Tales from the Dark forest is a serious stomper from start to finish.. Feel free to add to this thread !
  12. I was about to post Rotwang should be banned from answering in this thread

  14. Goa Gil "Forest of the saints" in 99 at my cousins place .. he had gone to Goa and got back a random tape that he said everyone was into and this kind of electronic music was becoming really popular.. i was already into prodigy and euro trance so i decided to give it a spin and not to my surprise lo and behold i was hooked to "Psycho"... then came Astrix and the likes once i started discovering more ...
  15. A little on the faster side tending towards full on is Manmachine - The second warp , check it out !
  16. Altar is slowly becoming my favourite label, after Suntrip.
  17. If you were to choose one of the below answers to this question at random, what would be the chance that you got it right? A) 25% B ) 50% C) 75% D) 25%
  18. Ahh another artist new to me, im not particularly into dubstep but there was something appealing about the tune, cant really put my finger on it, 6.5/10
  19. I have seen lots of people comment that MEEO sounds like Hallucinogen but i just dont get the comparison .. HMP is more, i dare say, full on sounding than Twisted or lone deranger and a lot more fun to listen to , you don't have to be tripping to enjoy it unlike a lot of Psychedelic music that just sounds plain dull to sober ears. But this is just my opinion... for all you know he just might be waiting because apparently i read somewhere that he is a big Simon fan .
  20. Ok so ive never heard Three state logic before , released back in '95, hmm, pretty good sound for that period i must say but its too noisy for me and sounds very amateurish right now. .. 5/10

I felt all strange and unnatural at my first goa party , listening to this weird brand of music in a jungle with tripped out hippies doing stupid crazy stuff all night till sunrise ..I was so curious that I went online trying to search for this music when I stumbled on isratrance , one needed to regsiter to dicuss stuff so i called myself exotic , refering to how i felt all night that time i went for a psycho disco party that had decor like i was in some alien land , with my cousin and his african friend who asked me if i knew how to roll and i said yes but why would you want me to roll on the ground without reason ? I till date cannot forget the look on his face
